God of War Ragnarok In Plain Sight Favor Walkthrough

In Plain Sight is a Favor (Side Quest) for Kratos in God of War Ragnarok. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the In Plain Sight Side Quest. For an overview of all quests in the game see God of War Ragnarok All Favors.

Starting Location: In Plain Sight

In Plain Sight is started by interacting with an animal corpse in The Plains in Vanaheim

Head north to find another corpse at the next rock.

Slay the Soul Eater

There will be another corpse across the water. Near the water will also be some rocks covered in runes, attack it to awaken the Soul Eater.

This is very similar to the Forest Ancient you fought outside Freyr’s Camp, except the Soul Eater will spray an ice beam every time it opens its core, and will also slam ice around it whenever you are close. Wait until it opens its core and throw your axe or spear, then grab and throw the white orb it spits out to deal massive stagger damage. Run in, press , and spam to deal big damage. This will take two phases to kill it. There will be no regular enemies to deal with, but if you haven’t killed the dragon yet then it may join the fray, in which case just be aware of its fire.
