There are 7 Jewel of Yggdrasil Locations in God of War Ragnarok. Finding all Jewels of Yggdrasil is required to fully repair the Amulet of Yggdrasil for trophy How it’s Going. The Amulet is first unlocked during Main Mission 06: The Reckoning. It has a total of 9 slots, 2 of which are repaired from the start. To repair the remaining 7 slots you must find the Yggdrasil Jewels. You can bring these to the blacksmith shop and repair 1 slot with each jewel. The Amulet lets you equip passive buffs in each slot, it’s a good way to prop up your stats.
Two Jewels are automatically dropped by enemies in the story. If you didn’t pick them up they can be retrieved from the blue chest at the blacksmith. The remaining 5 are found in Legendary Chests. These items are also included in the God of War Ragnarok Collectible Guide for 100% completion. But if you seek specifically just the Jewels then this guide got you covered.
Jewels of Yggdrasil
Jewel #1
Automatic story reward, dropped by Frost Phantom during Main Quest 09: The Word of Fate. If you did not pick it up, the item is automatically placed in the chest at the blacksmith and can be retrieved from there.
Jewel #2
Automatic story reward, dropped by Ogre at The Forge during Main Quest 10: Forging Destiny Quest. If you did not pick it up, the item is automatically placed in the chest at the blacksmith and can be retrieved from there.
Jewel #3
Inside Legendary Chest in Alfheim – The Forbidden Sands. In the north of the region you must enter the building “Elven Sanctum”. Inside you find this Legendary Chest, upstairs.
Jewel #4
Inside Legendary Chest in Svartalfheim – Alberich Island, at the very end of the island. It’s automatically opened during The Lost Treasure Favor.
Jewel #5
Inside Legendary Chest in Midgard – The Oarsmen. After interacting with the big chains to advance through the area, a staircase will be revealed on the right. After going downstairs, the Legendary Chest is on the right.
Jewel #6
Inside Legendary Chest in Vanaheim – Noatunn’s Garden. In the back left corner of the area look through the window. There’s a blue lock blocked by vines. Place purple runic arrows around the vines and shoot another purple arrow at the wall outside, then attack with Chaos Blades to cause an explosion that makes the fire jump to the vines. Then you can throw the axe at the blue lock.
Jewel #7
Inside Legendary Chest in Vanaheim – The Jungle. After dropping down the hole in the dragon pit, where the Path of Destruction Favor begins.
That’s all 7 Jewels of Yggdrasil in God of War Ragnarok. After getting all of them, repair the amulet at the blacksmith and you will unlock the “How It’s Going?” trophy.
For all other collectible types refer to God of War Ragnarok Collectible Guide.

You seem to be a smart guy maybe I can ask you. I have 100% completion of the game and opened all chests and 100% all areas and done all side quests but am missing a jewel to upgrade. This is the last trophy I need for the platinum. I honestly don’t know who to ask is there anyone that can help?

Have you tried opening the blue chest at the blacksmith if one Jewel was placed in there? My only idea is that one of the automatic story drops wasn’t looted. If it’s not in the chest at blacksmith then my only idea would be that maybe the game bugged and it wasn’t transferred to the chest. At 100% completion you would automatically have all Jewels.
Only fix might be to reinstall and replay the game, go for the Jewels at the earliest opportunity.

Probably you missed the jewel 4 like I did, try completing the father and son side quest the spirits who are seeking treasures

I tried opening Jewel 6 the way Freya wanted me to (from the realm tear) but the plants stopped burning halfway through and now I can’t reach them. Can I still do the other strategy if the rest is around chain at the bottom?

I opened the 4th one and it gave me an upgrade for Freya’s sword

I read somewhere some of the amulets can be obtained at the very end of reunion. For me I never got them given to me, but crafted them with Lunda.
