God of War Ragnarok All Armor Set Locations

This guide shows all Armor Set Locations in God of War Ragnarok and a showcase of what each armor looks like. There are 32 Armor Sets in the base game (not counting pre-order bonuses or DLC). 21 Armor Sets are for Kratos and 11 for his companions.

Only the armor for Kratos has attributes that make you stronger. The armor for your companions is purely cosmetical and has no effects.

None of the Armor Pieces are missable. You can still get all of them after the story in free-roam. A few story areas can’t be revisited but anything from them can be bought at the blacksmith instead. If you forgot to pick up a drop from an enemy it gets placed in the blue chest at the blacksmith. So you can’t miss anything by accident. Most armor will come automatically while going for 100% Completion. A few pieces can be crafted at the blacksmith after making sufficient story progress.

Survival Armor Set

Nidavellir’s Finest Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Vitality
Location: Complete Favor: In Service of Asgard to get Nidavellir Ore as a reward. You can use it at the blacksmith to craft this armor.

Enlightenment Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Runic
Location: Craftable at Blacksmith after reaching enough story progress

Sol’s Courage Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Vitality
Location: Craftable at Blacksmith after reaching enough story progress

Radiance Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Runic, Luck
Location: Found in Legendary Chests in The Below and The Barrens.

Spiritual Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Cooldown
Location: Craftable at Blacksmith after reaching enough story progress

Guiding Light Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Luck
Location: Found during Favor: Guiding Light in Midgard – Lake of Nine.

Raven Tears Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Luck
Location: From opening the Legendary Reward Chests in Niflheim – The Raven Tree. Requires destroying Ravens to open the chests.

Lunda’s Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Runic, Luck
Location: The 3 pieces are found in red chests in Vanaheim – Noatun’s Garden, Cliffside Ruins, The Veiled Passage. Can bring it back to Lunda (blacksmith) and she will repair it for free.

Mani’s Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Runic, Cooldown
Location: Craftable at Blacksmith after reaching enough story progress (Chest: 8500 Hacksilver, Wrist: 6000 Hacksilver, Waist: 6000 Hacksilver)

Undying Pyres Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Runic, Cooldown

Fallen Stars Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Runic, Vitality
Location: The Armor Pieces are rewarded when throwing yellow crystals into The Wishing Well in the Crater area of Vanaheim (The Plains). You find big yellow crystals all over the Vanaheim Crater, but you can’t do anything with them until you throw them into the Wishing Well.

Dragon Scaled Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense
Location: Can be crafted at the Blacksmith after you get Dragon Claw and Dragon Tooth.

Hunter’s Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Cooldown
Location: Requires 3 Hunter’s Brands to craft. 1 from Favor: In Plain Sight, 1 from Favor: Nocturnal Predator, 1 dropped by The Untamed Fury (Centaur). The Centaur disappears and changes positions after you damage it enough. The first two encounters are throughout The Sinkholes on your way to the dragon boss of the area. The third encounter is in The Plains area. The 4th is in The Jungle on the path on the right side. The 5th is also in The Jungle, crouch into the area behind the Mystic Gateway on the little island to fight the Fury one final time. Can grab the materials from the blue chest at blacksmith if you didn’t pick them up.

Giptumadr’s Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Runic, Luck
Location: Craftable at Blacksmith after reaching enough story progress (Chest: 8500 Hacksilver, Wrist: 6000 Hacksilver, Waist: 6000 Hacksilver)

Surtr’s Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Vitality
Location: Reward from beating Muspelheim Trials and opening the Legendary Reward Chests after each challenge.

Berserker Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Runic, Vitality, Cooldown, Luck
Location: Reward from doing the Berserker Gravestones. The Berserkers drop the armor pieces.

Fate Breaker Armor Set

Attributes: Strength, Defense, Vitality
Location: Automatically given to you at the start of the final story mission, can’t miss it.

Atreus – Jötnar’s Champion Garb

Attributes: None
Location: Found in Jotunheim, Angrboda’s Treehouse. After Angrboda points out that she left something for you in the cabinet, go inspect it to grab this.
