God of War - Otr's Imprisonment Favour Walkthrough

Otr’s Imprisonment is one of the 3 Dragon Favours (Side Quest) in God of War 2018. This walkthrough will guide you to all Dragon Shrines to free Otr.

Quest Giver: Quest triggers when stepping into the Dragon’s lair.
Requirement: Earliest you can accept this quest is after completing the story missions “A New Destination”.
Reward: Rare Enchantment, Dragon Tear and 615 XP

Starting Location: Stone Falls/Veithurgard

If you haven’t opened the flood gates into Veithurgard during the favour “Hammer Fall” you will need to stop at the Stone Falls Boat Docks here:

Once docked, follow the path upwards through the water wheel and up the chain at the end of the path. As soon as you reach the top landing there will be a Wayward Spirit to your left screaming about Thor but more importantly there will be a wheel you can turn to open the flood gates. Open up the gates and head back to your boat and sail into Veithurgard. Take out the enemies and climb the East wall at the end of the beach. At the top you will be at Brok’s shop, continue forward until you get to another beach. If there is not a boat already on shore you will have to cut down the boat next to the shore to set sail. Get in the boat and sail to the east and dock at the shore straight ahead:

Once docked take out all the enemies in the abandoned village. Once cleared out head South and up the stairs but be sure to use the alcoves as a safe haven for the Dragon’s breath. Once you get to the top where he is chained up you will receive this quest.

Destroy shrines binding Otr

Dragon Shrine Location #1

From where Otr is chained head to the opening on the left from the top of the stairs. Fight the enemies in the opening and the head to the north following the left-hand wall and you will come to the first shrine. Take out the enemies and attack the shrine to destroy it. Shrine Location:

Once you have destroyed the first shrine, head back South to the Dragon and turn around and face North again but this time following the right side. You will eventually come to a staircase on your right, instead of going up the staircase follow the small path under the bridge ahead:

Follow that path into a ritual circle and take out all the enemies, then head east up the stairs. Continue on until you jump over to the broken bridge where there are two Viken guarding a door. Take them out and use the rotary switches to makes the glyphs in the wheel match the ones left of the door like so (Left Side “T, R” — Right Side “N”, “F”):

Then you must rotate the glyphs on the right side of the door to match these:

Head through the newly opened door and to the right. Head into the next room and look to your right and you will see an explosive near a bunch of rock. Destroy the explosive to get rid of the rocks. Head through that tunnel ahead to get to the follow shrine:

Dragon Shrine Location #3

Once you have destroyed the second shrine head back to the room you were just in and use the rotary lever to lower the water and open the door in the water. Jump down and follow that path through the enemies until you get to the arena like room. You will have to use a lever to free Daudi Hamarr which is a Troll. After defeating the troll use the keystone on the pedestal to open the door to the West. Open the treasure chest and head up the wall to your right and outside. Climb down the chain and head to the path to your left this time:
