A New Destination is the 6th story main quest in God of War (2018, PS4). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of A New Destination Main Quest.
A New Destination triggers automatically after completing Inside the Mountain.
Take Mimir’s Head to the Witch
Once you’ve taken Mimir’s head, head down the stairway to the mystic gateway and warp back to Brok’s shop. You will trigger a cinematic where Brok upgrades the Leviathan Axe. Go outside the Temple of Tyr and get in a boat, then row back to the Witch’s Cave by following the waypoint.
Talk to the Witch in Her House
Dock at the newly revealed, lower dock, then use the elevator to reach the upper floor. Immediately to your right will be a sap barrier with a Shatter Crystal in it. Command Atreus to hit it with shock arrows to clear the path. In the cavern beyond will be a few Draugr and along the back wall, a hole that leads into the bottom of a well. Kill the Draugr and then climb up the inside of the well. Once you have reached the top, follow the waypoint to the Witch’s Hut and go inside to trigger a lengthy cinematic.
Return to the Witch’s Cavern
After the cinematic, this will occur automatically.
Return to the Boat
Follow the waypoint back to the elevator, and go back down the elevator to the boat.
Go to the Serpent’s Horn
Get back in the boat, and go back to Tyr’s Temple. Once back on the bridge, follow the waypoint to a switch in the middle of a platform. Hit the switch to trigger an elevator that takes you to the upper platform.
Speak to the World Serpent
Follow the waypoint to find the mouthpiece of a giant horn. Interact with it to blow the horn that summons the World Serpent. After another cinematic, the World Serpent will move the bridge into a new position as well as lift some of its massive bulk out of the water, causing the water in the Lake of the Nine to drop even further.
This finishes A New Destination main journey quest in God of War. Now the next quest The Magic Chisel starts.
