God of War 2018 (PS4) contains 332 Collectible Locations. This collectibles guide shows all locations in each region for 100% game completion and all trophies.

• 11 Jotnar Shrines (untracked but needed for trophy)
• 13 Purple Language Cipher Chests (unlocks Muspelheim / Niflheim)
• 12 Treasure Maps (covered in separate treasure guide)

None of the collectibles are missable! You can pick up everything in free-roam after the story (which is recommended). Pick up what you find yourself during the story. Then come back after the story to mop up the missing items. This guide is intended for use AFTER the story. When you first visit these areas you won’t have the required skills to reach all collectibles.

Some areas get locked off after the story but those don’t contain collectibles. All collectibles are in areas that can be revisited. There’s one small exception – a purple language cipher chest is found near the end of the story in an area that cannot be revisited. You can’t get back to it, but luckily, you only need 8 cipher chests for trophies and 100% completion. There are more than 8 cipher chests so it doesn’t matter if you forgot the one inside the Sea Serpent.

Just follow the quest waypoints, it requires you to find 3 bones in tiny search areas. They are very easy to see as the search areas are just a few meters wide (all the bones are on the floor). Be sure to track this quest in your log to get the markers.

*This area is only available for a short period of time during a main quest at the end of the story (it’s a story-related area that you can’t miss). However, after the story this area will have disappeared and can never be visited again. It only contains 1 Purple Language Cipher Chest with a Niflheim Cipher. Luckily, there are 12 other purple chests in the game and you only need 8 of them to unlock all languages. This chest is in plain sight, next to a golden chest you must open for story purposes. Not seeing it is literally impossible, however, it can technically be “missed” if you don’t pick it up on your only visit to this area. Don’t worry though, there are enough other purple chests to choose from!
