Introduction
Welcome to the Ghostwire Tokyo Trophy Guide! Ghostwire Tokyo is an open-world game set in Shibuya, Tokyo and comes from the developers of The Evil Within, Tango Gameworks. In order to get platinum, you will effectively need to do 100% of all content available in the game, which includes multiple variants of collectibles, reaching max level, completing all side missions and transferring 100% of spirits around Shibuya. Fortunately the game is very user-friendly with these as most have a means of tracking them in-game, or abilities/prayer beads that makes finding them easier.
No trophies are missable, so you can play the game at your own pace. There is free-roam upon completing the game, and while there is a Point of No Return at the end of Chapter 4, you will revert to before this point after completing the game, allowing you to continue freely exploring and cleaning up any collectibles you have left.
Step 1: Complete the game, collect anything you find along the way
Play through the game, collecting and completing any content you find along the way as you desire. All activities and collectable types can be toggled on the map, and will remain visible after collecting, so it will be easy for you to check whether you have collected something or not, making it easy to collect as you go and clean up later.
While playing through the game, it is recommended to occasionally fast travel to the Shibuya Scramble Crossing landmark, in the hopes of getting a Hyakki Yako event to occur on the northern road, as these are needed to get all spirits. You will know if you have a Hyakki Yako event occur as there will be a parade of enemies walking through a cloud of fog that will teleport you to an arena when you get close. These occur randomly on major roads and can be a grind to do them later, so by actively trying for these as you play you will with any luck get several Hyakki Yako events to occur before needing to grind them.
You will also want to keep an eye out for the Forlorn and Forsaken visitors for Visiting Hours Are Over . These are children in raincoats that are yellow and red, respectively. They will flee when you get nearby and while they can respawn, they can sometimes take hours to respawn so it is worth making sure you kill these so you don’t have to wait for them to respawn later. See Ghostwire Tokyo All Visitors (Enemy Types) for details on their locations.
There is a Point of No Return at the end of Chapter 4, however you revert to this point after completing the game and can keep grabbing all remaining collectibles. If you choose to you could do all content in the game at this point before finishing the game, but finishing the game will unlock a set of Prayer Beads that helps with transferring all spirits, so it is recommended you do this. Completing the last 2 Chapters only takes about 30 minutes so it isn’t much time for the benefit.
Step 2: Transfer 100% of Spirits, Complete all Side Missions, Collect all Collectable Types
Once you’ve finished the game, you will need to start working on completing all the content in the game. This includes transferring all Spirits, completing all Side Missions, cleansing all Torii Gates, discovering all Landmarks, defeating all Visitor types, collecting all Relics, KK Investigation Notes, Magatamas, Voice Logs, Jizo Statues, Missing Tanuki, Food and Drink, Music Tracks, Outfits and Prayer Beads.
The order that you do this is entirely up to you, whether you focus on one type at a time or move around the map and do everything along the way. For Spirits, you can either collect these as you do other content and clean them up at the end, or you can collect them all immediately and complete the game again to get Tireless Beads and Shadow Beads, which give you unlimited SP / Talismans / Arrows and makes you practically invisible, respectively.
Step 3: Complete Chapters 5 and 6 again with 100% Spirits, and Clean Up
Once you have transferred 100% of spirits, complete Chapters 5 and 6 again for Hero of Shibuya . If there’s any miscellaneous or combat trophies you haven’t done yet, now is a perfect time as the Tireless Beads and Shadow Beads you received from completing the game with 100% Spirits will make these easier.

Spirits are spread all across the city of Shibuya, and these are a form of collectible. They appear as blue floating silhouettes which can be absorbed by holding , and then transferred by interacting with any of the Payphones around the map. Absorbing them requires Katashiro, of which you can have up to 50 (see Boundless Spirit for information on Katashiro).
Overall there are 240,300 Spirits for you to absorb throughout the game, and these come from regular exploration both around Shibuya and Shibuya Underground, destroying corruption trees, rewards from Side Missions, from protecting Containment Cubes which spawn randomly, and rewards from completing Hyakki Yako events. Spirits can be seen easier by using Spectral Vision with . You can collect spirits as you play normally, but before actively hunting them there are several abilities and prayer beads that are highly recommended to make locating them easier: Abilities:
Prayer Beads:
As mentioned previously, there are several sources of collecting spirits: Open World (Shibuya / Shibuya Underground): The majority of spirits are found this way. They can be found everywhere around the streets and on buildings. Each region (indicated by the Torii Gates) will have a tracker which you can see by highlighting the Torii Gate to see your progress towards these. Shibuya Underground will have 3,700 Spirits, and can be accessed from several locations, most notably Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Side Missions: There are 42 Side Missions in the game, and the majority of these will reward you with some spirits to absorb. These spirits will track towards each region, like Open World spirits. For a list of all Side Missions, please see Ghostwire Tokyo – All Side Missions. Corruption Trees: Corruption Trees are piles of black corruption in the shape of trees, which oftentimes will be blocking paths and will hurt you if you step into it. Each corruption tree will have weak point which can be detected with Spectral Vision ( ). Unlike Spirits, Corruption Trees do not appear as a blue outline so without Spirit Perception Beads II these can be very easy to miss in an area. Containment Cubes: Containment Cubes are random events that occur in the open world, where several cubes will appear on the map (indicated by a green search area similar to Side Missions), and Visitors will try to destroy them. You must defend these Containment Cubes from the Visitors. Upon successfully defending them, you will be able to absorb the spirits they contain. Initially there will be 5,000 Spirits for these, and eventually 10,000 as you open the rest of the map. It is currently unknown whether these are missable, as it has not been tested whether letting a Containment Cube get destroyed means you cannot get those spirits, or if they just continue spawning in the world until you reach the limit. Due to the nature of the game it is assumed they are not missable and will continue spawning, but as a precaution it is recommended to save whenever you see a Containment Cube event spawn to make sure you defend them all. Hyakki Yako: Hyakki Yako are another random event that can occur in the open world. These are a parade of Visitors that can appear (they will be walking in a cloud of fog), and going near this will take you into an arena where you will have to defeat several waves of Visitors. Initially there will be 10,000 Spirits for these, and eventually 15,000 as you open the rest of the map. These parades can appear on major roads (most notably at Shibuya Scramble Crossing, and the roads next to Sakano Shrine, Mikubo Shrine and Namihara Shrine). Hyakki Yako can usually be heard from a distance if you have good audio, indicated by the sounds of bells and drums. This is what a Hyakki Yako event will look like: Unfortunately these appear to have a very low spawn rate, so you may find yourself having to specifically hunt for these. The best way to get them to spawn is simply to fast travel to any of the aforementioned locations and walking along the roads in the hope they spawn. They can spawn behind you too, so regularly check behind yourself when doing this. It is recommended that you regularly fast travel to Shibuya Scramble Crossing while you play the game doing all other content, as this will hopefully get you several Hyakki Yako events that you won’t have to hunt for later. |
||
Hero of Shibuya Complete the main story after transferring 100% of the spirits in the city. |
||
Once you have transferred 100% of the spirits in Shibuya (see Salvation of All for details), complete Chapters 5 and 6 to finish the game. This isn’t missable as even if you finish the game without 100% spirits, you will be put back before the point of no return and can complete it again. Completing the game with 100% spirits transferred will reward you with the Tireless Beads, which gives you unlimited energy for all attacks (Wind, Water, Fire, Bow and Talismans), as well as the Shadow Beads, which makes you practically invisible to Visitors.
Problem Solver Complete a side mission. |
||
See Wishmaker | ||
Wishmaker Complete all side missions. |
||
There are 42 side missions in the game, many of which will unlock from cleansing shrines. None of these are missable, so you can complete them at your own pace. At the end of Chapter 4 when getting on the motorbike, you will get a warning that After the End, After the End II and After the End III will be missable, but this is only relevant during Chapter 5. Once you complete the game you will be back before the end of Chapter 4.
Opening a Path Cleanse a torii gate. |
||
See Liberator | ||
Liberator Cleanse all torii gates. |
||
There are 30 torii gates in the game, and these are the main hubs for each region. Cleansing a torii gate will remove fog in the area, and thus cleansing all torii gates is necessary for revealing the entire map. One torii gate is unmarked and done during the Story Mission “Giants”.
Treasure Hunter Acquire a relic. |
||
See Collector | ||
Collector Acquire all relics. |
||
There are 123 relics in the game, and these are traditional collectibles. They are scattered throughout the game, however collecting them is made easy by the fact you can track these at the Relic-Hunting Nekomatas around the map who request them.
Mind and Body Unlock all Spirit Skills. |
||
There are three categories of Spirit Skills – Abilities, Ethereal Weaving and Equipment – and you must fully upgrade all of these for this trophy. In order to unlock skills, you will need Skill Points which are obtained from leveling your synergy level (see On the Same Wavelength ), and by collecting KK’s Investigation Notes. You will also need to collect all Magatama obtained from Yokai Hunts to be able to make certain skills available to unlock.
» Ghostwire Tokyo – All KK’s Investigation Note Locations |
||
On the Same Wavelength Raise your synergy level to max. |
||
Synergy Level is your character level, and this can be upgraded by defeating Visitors, completing missions and transferring spirits. The maximum level is 50, and this will come naturally while completing all other content.
Shibuya Is My Back Yard Find all landmarks. |
||
There are 31 landmarks in the game, and these are locations of significance around Shibuya. Many of these you will find naturally (particularly when hunting spirits), but several of them you will need to go out of your way to trigger.
Echoes of the Past Acquire a voice log. |
||
See The Whole Truth | ||
The Whole Truth Acquire all voice logs. |
||
There are 17 voice logs in the game, and these are collectibles in the form of voice recorders or open laptops. These are primarily found in payphones and at shrines.
It’s All Thanks to Yokai Acquire a magatama. |
||

||
See Pilgrim | ||
Pilgrim Pray to all Jizo statues. |
||
There are 52 jizo statues in the game, which when prayed at will increase the respective element by +1 SP. These are all found along the streets and down alleyways.
Your Tail’s Showing Find all of the missing tanuki. |
||
There are 25 missing tanuki in the game, which are disguised as various objects. Before you can start hunting these you will need to do the Tanuki Hunt side mission at Shiroyama Shrine.
Gourmand Acquire all types of food and drink. |
||
There are 50 types of food and drink in the game, and these are your typical consumables. The majority of these can be found randomly around the map, while some can only be bought from specific stalls.
DJ Akito Acquire all music tracks. |
||
There are 31 music tracks in the game, and these can be unlocked either from completing main missions, buying them at Relic-Hunting Nekomatas, or by completing requests for Relic-Hunting Nekomatas.
Trendsetter Acquire all items for the Outfit menu (excluding bonus content). |
||
There are 50 outfit pieces in the game, and these can be unlocked either from completing side missions, buying them at Relic-Hunting Nekomatas, or by completing requests for Relic-Hunting Nekomatas.
Talismania Acquire all talismans. |
||
Talismans are items that you can throw on the ground use to help defeat Visitors. There are four types of Talismans in the game and you will either acquire these or unlock these for purchase simply by playing through the story. All of them will be available for purchase partway through Chapter 3.
|
||
Power Overwhelming Acquire all sets of prayer beads. |
||
There are 33 prayer beads in the game, which are equippable upgrades. These can be obtained at shrines after cleansing them, completing requests at Relic-Hunting Nekomatas, and by completing the game with 100% spirits transferred.
Boundless Spirit Acquire the maximum number of katashiro. |
||
Katashiro are items that you use to store spirits in before transferring them. The more katashiro you have, the more spirits you will be able to carry on you at once. The maximum number of katashiro you can acquire is 50. These can be bought at Convenience Stores for 3,000 meika each. You can get some as rewards from Relic-Hunting Nekomatas, but given you need spend 1,000,000 meika anyway it is simply easier to purchase them all.
Animal Lover Pet an animal. |
||
Throughout the city of Shibuya there are many cats and dogs. By pressing when in front of an animal, you will pet it.
Amateur Photographer Use Photo Mode for the first time. |
||
Simply enter Photo Mode in the pause menu and this pop immediately.
You Wouldn’t Steal a Spirit Successfully protect at least 3 Containment Cubes in a single battle. |
||
Containment Cubes are random events that occur in the open world, where several cubes will appear on the map (indicated by a green search area similar to Side Missions), and Visitors will try to destroy them. You must defend these Containment Cubes from the Visitors. These random events can spawn with 1, 2 or 3 Containment Cubes for you to defend. Each cube will begin with 100% health, so simply defend 3 of them against Visitors.
Don’t Worry About It Pull a “Daikyo” omikuji. |
||
At all of the major shrines around the map (Shiroyama, Hirokawa, Kirigaoka and Onte), you can pay 200 meika to pull an omikuji at the omikuji box. These are fortunes that grant you certain buffs. Daikyo is a debuff that deals heavy damage to you, and unfortunately it is the rarest omikuji you can pull. It has roughly a 1% chance of being pulled, so you will need to grind for this. The best way to do this is as follows:
|
||
Better Together Fuse back with KK after being hit by a severance attack. |
||
Several Visitors have the ability to sever KK from Akito’s body. When this happens, you can press to return KK to Akito’s body and get this trophy. This should happen automatically at a point during the story, but otherwise you can do this against the Crimson Kuchisake Visitors, who are the tall red ladies with large scissors.
Visiting Hours Are Over Defeat every type of Visitor. |
||
There are 23 types of Visitors in the game, and these are the various enemy types you encounter. You will need to defeat a Visitor once for it register in your database. Many of these you will encounter naturally, but two of them – Forlorn and Forsaken – can be annoying to kill as they will flee when you alert them and they have a limited number of spawn locations in the game. They will respawn eventually but it usually takes a few hours before this happens. When encountering these it is recommended that you save your game so that you can reload in the event they flee.
Heartbreaker Defeat a Visitor by pulling out its core. |
||
See Soul Breaker | ||
Soul Breaker Defeat 50 Visitors by pulling out their cores. |
||
When a Visitor has been weakened, their core will be exposed and you can pull it out by holding . This is a core component of combat and you will get this naturally.
One Fell Swoop Defeat at least 5 Visitors simultaneously by pulling out their cores. |
||
In order to do this, you will need to have at least 5 Visitors with their cores exposed simultaneously. The best way to do this is either by using the Wire In ability to stun a group of Visitors and make them easier to expose, or by using Exposure Talismans. The best places to do this is either in the first encounter after unlocking the Wire In ability, during Hyakki Yako events, or during the final boss fight.
It is recommended that you have the Core Exposure – Duration Boost II ability to make them remain exposed for longer, as well as Core Grab – Speed Boost II to make it so you can grab it faster, to avoid potentially getting interrupted by any other enemies. |
||
Couldn’t Take the Heat Defeat at least 3 Visitors simultaneously by detonating a red ether crystal. |
||
Red Ether Crystals are found in many combat encounters, and they are floating explosive objects such as gas canisters. Shooting these will cause an explosion with a very large radius, and will instantly kill most basic Visitors (such as the Rain Walker or Student of Misery). As long as you have multiple visitors in an area with a Red Ether Crystal, this shouldn’t be too difficult to get.
Silent Kill Defeat a total of 200 Visitors using Quick Purge. |
||
Quick Purge is a means of instantly killing Visitors. This can be done by pressing when behind an unaware Visitor, behind a Visitor when they are stunned by a Stun Talisman, or on a downed Visitor in combat with the Ground Core Grab ability unlocked. The latter method is the easiest method for doing this, as you will very regularly knock down basic Visitors and can get a Quick Purge on these.
Take a Bow Defeat a total of 50 Visitors using the bow. |
||
The bow is obtained during Chapter 2, and can be equipped by pressing or holding to select it in the weapon wheel. The bow is quite powerful so getting 50 kills shouldn’t be too difficult. Make sure to aim for headshots when doing this to work towards Go For The Eyes. Arrows can be bought at Convenience Stores for 300 meika. Unlocking the Speed Boost and Quiver Boost abilities for the bow will make this process easier.
Go For the Eyes Defeat a total of 20 Visitors with headshots. |
||
This can be done with your elemental abilities or with the bow, but it is recommended that you do it with the bow as it is more precise. Simply aim for the head and most basic Visitors will die in one hit with the bow.
Sniper Defeat a Visitor with a headshot from a distance of at least 40m. |
||
This can be a little difficult to do due to arrow drop. The best way to do this is by finding a Visitor that isn’t moving much and place a waypoint on them. Then move 40+ meters away and make a save at that location. Attempt to get a headshot, and if you fail to get it, simply reload your save and try again. Below is a good location to do it, standing on the roof of the public toilets north of Sengoku Police Box and shooting the Visitor in front of the Jizo Statue to the east.
Freeze, Scumbag Defeat a total of 10 Visitors with Quick Purge while they are held by a Stun Talisman. |
||
Stun Talismans can be bought from stores for 4,000 meika after cleansing Kuo Shrine in Chapter 2. This talisman can be thrown on the ground and any Visitors within the area of effect will become stunned for about 10 seconds. While they are stunned, you can get behind them and perform a Quick Purge with . Simply perform this on 10 Visitors.
If you don’t want to spend a lot of meika on these talismans, you can instead simply make a save before using a talisman and reload afterwards, as progress will carry over reloads. |
||
A Shrubbery! Defeat a total of 3 Visitors with Quick Purge while hiding in bushes created by a Thicket Talisman. |
||
Thicket Talismans can be bought from stores for 1,000 meika after returning to KK’s Safehouse in Chapter 2. This talisman can be thrown on the ground to create shrubbery that you can hide in to avoid detection from Visitors. For this trophy you will want to throw one at a Visitor so that you can get behind it and perform a Quick Purge while inside the shrubbery. This can be a bit finnicky as sometimes you can perform a Quick Purge on a Visitor and it won’t register, so if this happens you will simply have to try it again until it does.
If you don’t want to spend a lot of meika on these talismans, you can instead simply make a save before using a talisman and reload afterwards, as progress will carry over reloads. |
||
Left Yourself Open Defeat a total of 10 Visitors by ripping out their cores after exposing them with an Exposure Talisman. |
||
Exposure Talismans can be bought from stores for 7,000 meika partway through Chapter 3. This talisman can be thrown on the ground and any Visitors within the area of effect will either have their cores immediately exposed (if they’re a weaker Visitor) or take more damage (if they’re a stronger Visitor). Simply rip out of the cores of 10 Visitors who are affected by the Exposure Talisman. This can be done in combination with One Fell Sweep if you use the talisman on a group of 5 Visitors.
If you don’t want to spend a lot of meika on these talismans, you can instead simply make a save before using a talisman and reload afterwards, as progress will carry over reloads. |
||
Master of Blocking Perform a total of 30 Perfect Blocks. |
||
A Perfect Block is performed by pressing the moment a Visitor’s attack is about to hit you, and doing so will leave the Visitor vulnerable to an attack. These are very easy to pull off against the basic Rain Walker Visitors. It is likely that you will get this through natural play as it is always best to block incoming attacks and you will likely get 30 Perfect Blocks without actively going for them.
In Sync Wire In a total of 10 times. |
||
Wire In is an ability that you unlock at the end of Chapter 2. It is charged by removing cores from or quick purging Visitors, and it can be activated by pressing + . When activated, all nearby Visitors will be hit with a shockwave and cores will be easier to expose. As long as you remember to use Wire In when it becomes available, you will get this naturally.
Walking on Air Grapple and glide to remain in the air for at least 10 seconds. |
||
Throughout the game are Tengu on rooftops that you can grapple to by holding and pressing . In order to get this, you will want to find several Tengus close together, grapple to one and glide by holding , before grappling onto the next Tengu and repeating. There appears to be some leniency to this where if you touch a roof before gliding it may still count. To make this easier, it is recommended to get the Grapple – Summon Tengu and Glide – Duration Boost III abilities.
Big Spender Spend a total of 1,000,000 meika. |
||
Meika is the form of currency in the game, and it can be acquired by defeating powerful visitors, transferring spirits, completing side missions and handing in relics to Relic-Hunting Nekomatas. In the process of completing everything else you will get more than 1,000,000 meika, and by purchasing everything at the Relic-Hunting Nekomatas as well as 50 Katashiro you should hit 1,000,000 meika spent.
Pious Put a total of 10,000 meika into offering boxes. |
||
Several of the shrines around the game will have offering boxes, at which you can spend either 100 or 500 meika to make a wish. It is recommended that you always choose the 500 meika option, as this allows you to wish for help finding Tanuki and Jizo Statues, which will mark one of that respective collectible on the map for the region you’re in. Do this at all the offering boxes around the map and you will eventually hit 10,000 spent. If you want to grind this, simply save in front of an offering box, pay 500 meika, and load to repeat it.
Lonely Tsukimi Spend at least 30 seconds looking at the moon. |
||
From anywhere in Shibuya with a clear view of the moon, simply look at it for 30 seconds. |
Dix3n says
3/10, no online, no missable, no glitches, no difficulty-specitifc, TAKE MY MONEY!
NHC2000 says
Great list, it looks easy and just a simple collectacon/to-do list of things in the games. I like it.
That Sniper trophy is a page from the Far Cry games or what? At least is only 40 meters and not 300km like Far Cry, lol.
Jay says
Far Cry has been like 40-50ft… lol
falsaai says
I’m still using your guide for Elden Ring. Once I platinum the game I will come here to enjoy this! You are incredible. Thank you very much.
ChaoticGoodGamer says
Used your guide for Elden Ring Plat, now I’m going to use this one aswell! ?
Warrior platinum says
30 40 hours???? I’m more than 1 week finding and catching all the spirits, game is not 30 40 hours.. I’m more than 70 hours in the game
Archavia says
Both myself and DK did this in 40ish hours without guides, so 35-45 is very much reasonable. It’s recommended that you use the setup listed in the trophy for Spirits if you are struggling to find them, as with all the skills and beads listed there it shouldn’t take more than a few hours to go through the whole map collecting all spirits.
Law says
I got the platinum in less than 30h, around 28h with this guide
Ian says
I cannot seem to find the last of the spirits
I only need that and 2 other trophies. I have 98.62% of them, lol
Sean says
70 hours?! I’m at 29 hours and only have Jizu and Tanuki left. Reckon 35 hours will be about right
Spirit finding is extremely easy with the spirit beads
Johnny says
For tori gates you need to do the main mission of retrievieng fuel/gas to pop the trophy if you clean all gates before
Archavia says
Thanks for this, I wasn’t sure if that one was necessary as it wasn’t marked on the map. I’ve corrected this now.
Neme says
Thx mate you are the best
jerry says
Is forsaken(visitor) missable? I cant not find even a single one when I search the whole map, they wont respawn at all?
Archavia says
Forsaken location was moved in Patch 1.01 or 1.02, it can now be found in the parking lot northwest of Onten Shrine.
J says
Does in game currency have a finite amount or can you grind it from enemies and loot?
Archavia says
You can grind meika infinitely, but it’s entirely unnecessary as getting all relics and trading those will be more than enough meika.
Danto says
Is there some way of locating Spirits? Im now at 99.04% of 2 Areas and cant find any Spirits in this Area anymore.
Still thinking of dropping the Plat. So much brainless collectible Stuff to do specially in finding all of the Spirits is just a grindfest.
Archavia says
Spirit Perceptions Beads are the best way to locate spirits, as with these equipped an orb will point in the direction of the nearest spirits if there’s any within that area.
J says
If you buy all the katashiro, can you still pick up the rewards?
Archavia says
Yes, if you have all Katashiro you will just get rewarded Meika in place of Katashiro.
Jay says
Better Together is NOT working for me. Do I have to reach a certain point in the story for the scissor ladies to START doing the move? Just sat for like 30 min and they kept doing the same 2 moves. I’m at the beginning of Act 4.
xthekrakenx says
I also want to know the answer to this! I’m also on chapter 4 and have grinded both white and red scissor ladies and neither will do the severance attack for the trophy. What do you have to do to trigger it to happen???
Kyle says
I’m trying to figure this out, too. I’ve fought regular and red scissor ladies and neither ones have ripped kk out of akito… they just swipe at me.
Jerzyna97 says
Have you figured this one out? Need help!
rbwdog says
Can’t find Rice Ball (Salmon), any location where it could be?
Archavia says
Aside from the unique foods bought at stores, all food/drinks are completely random and just found by collecting the white bags around the game. No set spawns so you just have to hope to get the right items when picking them up.
CloakedReaper95 says
Where is the Shibuya Scramble Crossing landmark located it? Thanks
Archavia says
It’s next to Morite Shrine in the south, you can look at the Landmark guide linked in the roadmap for a specific location.
Noah says
Hey, so I’ve encountered an issue when it comes to game and since I haven’t found anything on it yet I wanted to see if you can maybe help me in any way.
All of the combat related trophies are working just fine for me but I’m unable to unlock any of the other trophies. None of the chapter trophies, no collectible trophies, not even the petting trophy seem to be working.
Have you maybe encountered similar issues? Perhaps with other games in the past?
Noah says
Ok, I spent the last two hours testing what might have caused this and it seems you must be logged into Playstation Network with your account to unlock certain trophies, even non-story related ones.
Might want to add that to the guide since if it doesn’t get patched this means you can’t use a proxy account to unlock Platinum before logging in with your main acccount.
Archavia says
I’ll keep an eye out for anyone else having similar issues, as right now we don’t know if that’s the reason. If it is that’s changed in the latest patches as I did the whole game offline in 1.00 with no trophy issues. If there’s more reports confirming this to be the case now, I’ll update the guide to mention it.
Noah says
Doesn’t seem to be the case.
Just deleted the game and disconnected my PS5 so that I wouldn’t download the patch. Result was that I couldn’t unlock any trophies at all.
Don’t know what on earth might cause this but if someone runs into the same problems I hope this can help.
Max says
Unfortunately I’m stuck at 62% yet I’ve collected and completed everything in the game. No idea why the trophies haven’t popped but super cheesed off after such a collectathon :(. Always been online and on the patched version of the game. All trophies up until 62% unlocked as and when they should

I also have an issue with canned food (it is comune but for me after 30 hours not found), i have a trick to all people that have problem with food:
1) find a food bag on the street
2)save before open the food
3)open the food, if you dont find correct one recharge the save and retry
The food is randomic and each recharge you find different food.. try!
Dix3n says
How many of those Hyakki events are there and do you need to do them all? Or do they spawn infinitely?
Archavia says
They spawn infinitely, it can just be a bit tedious trying to trigger them to spawn.
Dix3n says
I’m just curious why we need to do them for the platinum, I don’t see a trophy for doing them.
Archavia says
Hyakki Yako events give 15,000 of the spirits that are needed for the 100% Spirits trophy, similarly to the Containment Cube events.
Dix3n says
If they spawn infinitely, would it be possible to farm them to get all the 100% spirits? Or do you mean they will keep respawning until you complete them, and once you complete them they stop spawning ? If so, how many do we need to do ?
Archavia says
They keep respawning after you get 15,000, but you can’t get any more spirits afterwards.
Trotsk says
I might have encountered a bug. I am on chapter 4 and have almost all of the spirits, except for a few which, according to the map tracker, should be located in Toyoi shrine and Akisawa Shrine. The problem is that the spirit beads does not indicate any in the area nor I can find it by going around. It is getting frustrating ?
J says
I’m having the same issue. Are some spirits not available until beating the game?
Snorlando says
I also had this issue, but I found out that those last few spirits are the rewards for completing the After the End II and III side missions. Those side missions didn’t show up for me until just before I hit the “point of no return” of chapter 4.
B says
You may have to buy them from the cats. Whenever I didn’t see any yokai on the map, I assumed a cat was selling the magatama and I was right.
Dix3n says
Ok so you just keep completing Hyakki events until you got 15000 spirits in total from them ?
Ignore my previous comment then.
TheNoMoreHero says
Thanks for the guide, just wanted to say I agree with the timeframe, nice yo have a shorter game compared to Eldin Ring and Horizon Forbidden West. Man making these guides would be fun and , thanks for sharing!
RomanEagle says
I really wish someone would make a guide for “Left Alive”
Wink wink, nudge nudge…
And no, Powerpyx won’t do it, and other Trophy hunters I have asked 🙁
Obese says
I am 240,205/240,300 spirits collected and ive been using the beads that guide me to them. Underground, Cubes and Parades are all filled. i found the last spirit but it is stuck inside a the corner of the big building “Shibuya Kagerie Retail Complex”. inside the wall and a bit under the ground level. an area u cannot enter or reach. I tried reinstalling the game and nope. Are there more than 240.300 spirits so i can go find others or am i glitched…
Robert says
Towards the left of that, is like a ditch/found you can use to get under that building to where that spirit is located.
tokyopunchout says
I was stuck in the same situation until my friend showed me that there’s a small canal in the opposite direction (to the left of the colorful wide LED staircase)! You have to jump down and you’ll see a straight path towards the spirits once you’re down there. Happy 100% Spirits!

So… what exactly us Tatari mode?
Several sites just copy and paste what the in-game description says… and Reddit/Gamefaqs has no answers…
Ian says
I SPOKE TO9 SOON! I found some more spirits in subway station
AgathoDaemon says
Been enjoying this game and also really enjoy the content you put out. Keep up the great work.
Robert says
I’ve spent hours looking through the city at 98.99% souls and it really seems like there are no more souls left. Sidequests, Underground, Cubes, and Hyakki Yak all complete. Is it possible to not be able to get all souls?
Robert says
Update: Found everything after I realized the blue “trail/orb” that shows up in spectre vision point you in the direction of the souls. This guide definitely does say that but I must’ve read past it. I could’ve saved myself hours if I had figured that out or read that better. Thanks again for the guide!
Ian says
Yeah it took me a minute to figure that out as well lol
Except now I’ve got so many spirits collected it doesn’t show me anything anymore 🙁
I only need 5% of the remaining spirits in the Morite Shrine area and I will have the platinum.. except for the life of me I just cannot find them. Ugh
xthekrakenx says
Possible glitched trophy
Better Together
I have seen many people get this before chapter 4, yet I have tried endlessly to have the white and red scissor ladies hit me with a severance attack to no avail. I even saw another site say it is story unmissable and should happen in chapter 3. Is there any clarification to this? I’m about to start chapter 5 and still can not get this to happen. Probably spent well over 2 hours trying.
Can anyone confirm??
Turlizo says
I am in the same boat. Saw people have it before chapter 3.
I assume this is from the side mission in the underground or the hospital. I can’t remember where but there are two missions before chapter 3 end that involve that boss type.
Either this is bugged or missable.
Dix3n says
I got it during one of the bosses in chapter 5, I think it’s scripted to happen there.
Blood says
The Forlorn and Forsaken definitely respawn after a couple hours. Been seeing them both appear again and the same happened to a friend who missed them and alerted them during their playthrough. They were missing for her and she thought the plat was unobtainable. Told her to check again and they reappeared. Happy hunting!
Thalia88 says
True. I finished the game yesterday and found a Forsaken in the same place where I killed him for the trophy.
Axel says
Bro, your time predictions are ridiculous. I enjoyed, the game but „rushed“ through it. And my save tells 102 hours. PLEASE adjust your time predictions. For every game. Seriously.
Archavia says
It’s not a prediction, it’s based on my own experience. I got platinum in about 40-45 hours, and that’s with writing the guide and getting all information. I have adjusted the time to 40-50 hours however.
JKBonanza says
How the hell did you need 102 hours? I got the platinum in 27 hours and enjoyed the game, not rushing at all. So 40-50 hours is doable.
ShinRai says
“rushed” and its 102?? Damn… You need to rush more :D …. Jokes apart, I’m almost done and am at 39 hrs in game. So the approximates look fine, I’d say.
Jesse says
Anyone else having problems getting the sleuth beads 3 and archery beads 3 they are not at the shrines. I got everything else I. The game all tori gates and shrines everything but these 2 prayer beads are not there
anasterion says
I remember that I also thought that I collected everything and for me it was sleuth beads 3 which I missed. They were not inside the room of shrine as usual, but outdoors on the small stand. You can actually check from which shrines you collected beads in the map menu by pointing cursor on shrine icon.
Finch says
Oh man what a drag this platinum was. 35 hours with guide. I was constantly visiting shibuya for Hyakki Yako events and they had a pretty decent spawn rate. Also if you are missing around 1.000 spirits before finishing chapter 4 you’ll get them as a reward for after the end ii & iii side missions which are available at the end of that chapter.
Forsaga says
Hello everybody why can’t have trendsetter trophy ? I have all clothes and i checked 5 times ! Please help
Idkdjej says
Did you find all tanukis?
Sarge says
Relic Hunter glitched on me… There are two items specifically I picked up but didn’t register on the map as collected. One of which didn’t even register in the database despite having picked it up twice somehow a night or two ago. I’ve double checked those locations and there’s nothing there and the map shows nothing. Having gone through the guides list I have obtained everything else and everything else has an icon on the map. I’m also 100,000% certain it’s not user error.
Both items I knew I grabbed. One of which was an item I picked up twice which I thought was odd at the time. However it’s unavailable to trade into the Collector and it didn’t even register in the database. It’s also the last thing I need to complete all collectors tasks and also locks me out of all clothing as the reward is an item of clothing.
That item is Relic #34, the Tsuchinoko, which is found South East of the Kappagaike Torii Gate and given to the Occult collector. The second was Relic #58 that didn’t get marked on the map but shows up in my list and was traded to whichever collector requested it.
I wasn’t necessarily sure I was going to get or go for platinum because of soul collector and w/ roughly 20k more souls needed this… What really pissed me off is that I thought about finishing the campaign 2-3 nights ago instead of messing about with all this filler BS. Seems the game made it’s choice for me. Had fun but what a tedious open world full if filler rubbish packed inside a 6 hour campaign. 2 cents
Kiseiju says
In the Akitsu shrine, I arrived at 89.46 of captured spirits (I did the two side missions in the area), but there are no more ghosts to capture.
Can anyone help me?
Zangetsu says
Thank a lot pal
CharlieB says
Coming to PS+ Extra and Premium in March, so I’ll be giving this a go then. Sounds like a pretty easy if lengthy easy Platinum.
Sen says
Will you make a list for the dlc trophies?
Pan says
The game got a update this week and it added some new skills, i started the game just a few days ago, now im worried that it will take longer to unlock the trophy for all skills, anyone knows if thats the case? Im assuming the level cap got increased otherwise it would be impossible to get all skills…
Mauricio Formaggio says
For the Hyakki Yako events, we can simply offer 5000 meikas at any oferring altar and it will give you an option that you wanna see an Hyakki Yako event. Fast travel to Shibuya Scramble Crossing and walk around the intersection. The event will be there. I’ve done this several times and it worked out all the time.
Andy says
I’m using PC to play the game, but I didn’t see the “Don’t worry about it” achievement. Does anyone know why?
