Ghostwire Tokyo All Missing Tanuki Locations

Welcome to the Guide covering all the locations for Missing Tanuki in Ghostwire Tokyo. In the Shiroyama Shrine area you can find the Tanuki Boss who is missing 25 of his Tanuki and asks you to find them. You will need to find all of them in order to unlock the Platinum Trophy in this game. Not only will you be given the Your Tail’s Showing trophy for finding them all but additionally doing this is necessary for completing all side missions and unlocking all clothes in the game.

This guide will be split into areas just how they are divided in the game itself. When hovering over a Shrine icon you can see how many Tanuki are in this area and how many you are still missing. Since the map will not be fully uncovered until almost the end of Chapter 4, this is when you should tackle finding all of them. Additionally some areas have Offering Boxes at the Shrines which will mark one Tanuki for you in the area for 500 meika but not all locations have these boxes so it’s impossible to find all the Tanuki relying only on those.

Shiroyama Shrine – 3 Tanuki

Tanuki 1/25 – Found not far from the Boss Tanuki, disguised as a chagama (metal pot)

Tanuki 2/25 – Disguises as a Torii Gate in front of a red billboard

Tanuki 3/25 – Disguises as a vending machine in the middle of the pavement

 

Namita Shrine – 1 Tanuki

Tanuki 4/25 – Disguised as a porcelain tanuki statue

Akisawa Shrine – 2 Tanuki

Tanuki 5/25 – Disguised as a Torii Gate

 

Tanuki 6/25 – Disguised as a traffic cone

Yashin Shrine – 1 Tanuki

Tanuki 7/25 – Disguised as a traffic sign / paper cut-out looking sign

Kuo Shrine – 2 Tanuki

Tanuki 8/25 – Disguides as a panda playground ride

Tanuki 9/25 – Disguised as a sign

Kamio Shrine – 1 Tanuki

The Reward

After finding all the Tanuki Statues a new side mission will appear on your map in Kirigaoka Shrine area called The Boss Tanuki, head there and talk to the boss who will thank you for getting all his Tanuki back. As a reward you will receive a Tanuki outfit.
