Forspoken has 9 Poppet Locations. They all come Chasing Cat Quests in Cipal, the hub city where you start between Chapters. Getting all Poppets and trading them to the merchant in Cipal for 4 items unlocks A Roaring Trade trophy and achievement. This guide shows all 9 cat quests that reward you with poppets and the merchant where to use the poppets.
The first cat will appear in Chapter 3 and more cats spawn throughout the story. They are marked by yellow question exclamation marks (“!”) on the map. If you miss any cats they will respawn after the story so nothing is missable! They will only temporarily become unavailable during the story when advancing to the next chapter. After the story all cats will be there again.
Important: This guide lists the first opportunity to get each poppet. The cats disappear when progressing to the next chapter but any you missed will respawn after the story so nothing is missable!

Forspoken Cat Chases & Poppets
Chapter 3 – Cat #1: Chasing the Calico Cat
In the south of Cipal a cat will spawn. Talk to it, then run after it and pick up the pouch at the end. Check your map for the yellow 
icon, this is quite easy to miss when advancing to the next chapter. Remember you can keep multiple manual saves so cycle between them, this way you always have a save nearby you can fall back to if you missed something. Again, if you miss a cat it will respawn after the story so don’t worry, it’s only temporarily unavailable when advancing the story.
Chapter 4 – Cat #2: Chasing the Black and White Cat Part 1
Chase after the cat and pick up the pouch at the end of the chase.
Reward: Poppet, 50 XP
Chapter 4 – Cat #3: Chasing the Gray Cat Part 1
Chase after the cat and pick up the pouch at the end of the chase.
Reward: Poppet, 50 XP
Chapter 4 – Cat #4: Chasing the Black and White Cat Part 2
Becomes available during Chapter 4 after having done Detour “Chasing the Black and White Cat Part 1”. Simply chase after the cat again, this time it’s found in the sheep area near the graveyard in the east of Cipal.
Reward: Poppet, 50 XP
Chapter 4 – Cat #5: Chasing the Gray Cat Part 2
Becomes available during Chapter 4 after having done Detour “Chasing the Gray Cat Part 1”, and just before leaving Cipal. Chase after the cat and pick up the pouch at the end of the chase.
Reward: Poppet, 50 XP
Chapter 7 – Cat #6: Chasing the Striped Cat Part 1
This becomes available after doing the main objective “Find Robian” in the west of Cipal (after going to the tree). Do it before leaving Cipal. Run after the cat and pick up the pouch at the end.
Reward: Poppet, 50 XP
Chapter 4 – Cat #7: Chasing the Striped Cat Part 2
Becomes available after Detour #13 “Chasing the Striped Cat Part 1”. It starts in the upper city, in the east corner. Run after the cat and pick up the pouch at the end.

Chapter 4 – Cat #8: Chasing the Black Cat Part 1
Starts at the entrance to the upper city, available after the story (Chapter 13). After finishing Chapter 12 it will ask if you want to create a save, do this and then click “Continue” in the title screen to keep playing. Then this will be marked on the. Chase down the cat and pick up the pouch at the end.
Reward: Poppet, 50 XP
Chapter 4 – Cat #9: Chasing the Black Cat Part 2
Available after doing Detour #14 “Chasing the Black Cat Part 1”. Chase the cat and pick up the pouch at the end.
Reward: Poppet, 50 XP
Where to Trade Poppets
After getting all Poppets, bring them to the merchant in the center of Cipal:
You can buy 4 different items from him, they cost exactly 9 poppets. After spending all poppets there A Roaring Trade trophy unlocks.
