FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE rebuilds the legendary RPG for today. The first entry in a multi part saga, delivering more depth than the original by vastly expanding the game areas and adding side quests. The world has fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy. In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic consequences that await him.

Amazing as always! Just a quick question. Is there a lot of missable stuff? Want to enjoy the playthrough but also want to know if I need to keep an eye out for a few things! Keep up the good work buddy!
PowerPyx says
There is chapter select after completing the story so nothing truly missable.
I’d say everything is “semi-missable” in the way that you must replay the entire chapter if you missed a minigame or collectible. Some chapters take hours so if you miss a lot of things it can add up to a lot of replay time. Everything carries over into hard difficulty though so you can grab it on your 2nd playthrough as well.
Dale says
How do you get the different resolutions to chapter 14?
PowerPyx says
I don’t know for sure yet, but will have a guide on this later.
Darth_Krid says
Tifa and Aerith are linked to whichever you speak to first in Chapter 10 when they’re unconscious on the sewer floor. Yet to figure out how to get the Barret one…maybe don’t speak to either of them and wait for time to pass?
Anthony says
Do Zero side quests, don’t drink with Tifa, and pick all rude options with the girls to be on the safe side for Barret. Just do all the side quests for Tifa. and get her discovery mission (Ch3). Go ahead and do only 3 missions on Aerith’s (Ch8) so you can get her 2nd dress as well. Then do none of the chapter 3 and all the Chapter 8 for Aerith. You may or may not need to pick her first in the sewers but the scene is in the beginning of Ch 14 so going there before playing a whole chapter for a smaller choice is probably worth it.
Kodes says
This any good Pyx? Been using your guides for a long while, we got the same taste. Be honest..is it overhyped at a 10 (not through nostalgia glasses either from PS1 days)?
PowerPyx says
Best game this year so far in my opinion. It has everything I love 🙂
Darth_Krid says
It’s my favourite game on the PS4. I had a big grin from ear to ear all throughout and love everything about it. The combat is amazing and they had just the right balance of nostalgia and fresh ideas. Can’t wait for the next one.
Blory says
Hi there
Can I change Japanese text?
Thanks
Darth_Krid says
I’m sure it’s in the settings/configuration somewhere.
Anthony says
I can’t figure out how to assess Ifrit. He’s the only enemy I’m missing and I’d like to 100% my playlog. I tried using assess with him summoned but that didn’t work.
PowerPyx says
He’s only available on hard difficulty in the Pride and Joy challenge (Chapter 17 combat simulator).
Ryan says
Hi Powerpxy, did you complete the play log to 100%? I have just done it and wondering if there is any reward, like a secret ending if I replay the final chapter?
Juju Dredd says
Don’t you also need an assess materia to get the full enemy analysis list?
Kasey K says
If you download and fully beat the demo you will see a little bonus scene. Just an FYI for anyone who sees this.
Damian says
Hi, i was looking for the piggyback strategy guide (always used them for FF games) but there isnt one, or at last not yet, so i found yours? do ill get absolute 100% with this? i mean not just platinum of course, i mean every item, every boss, every possible thing, every every every.
and i still dont understand how works chapter select (ill finish game in few days i think). can i farm same chapters in order to get multiple story related items? example: will i get multiple summon materia (even if pointless) playing the same chapter? or: if i replay ch14’s corneo treasure quest, the chests will be already opened or full everytime ill replay that chapter?
somekila says
For the Guppos, just save and reload and they will respawn. That might work for other animals aswell.
