Lost Friends is a side quest in Final Fantasy 7 (VII) Remake. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Lost Friends Side Mission (Odd Job). It requires you to find all of Betty’s Cat Locations.
Lost Friends becomes available when you’ve talked to Chadley for the first time during the “Problem Solving” Main Objective.

Area: Residential Area
Quest Giver: Betty
Requirement: Automatic story-related after talking to Chadley for the first time during “Problem Solving” main objective.
Reward: 1x A Maiden’s Kiss potion (removes toad-related curses), 1x HP and MP fully restored
Mission Info: Betty needs someone to find her feline friends. Search the slums for the three cats.

Starting Location: Lost Friends
Find Betty’s 3 Cat Locations
Betty will give you three hints about the cat locations when you accept the quest from her. If you want to hear the hints again you can repeatedly talk to her. The hints are also written out below. When you get near a cat you can hear it meowing and Tifa making a comment that one of Betty’s cats is nearby. All of the cats are colored white and you must press 
to interact with them.
Cat Location #1: The first cat is located on the exit road of the Residential Area, the one that leads east to the Pillar Plaza.
Betty’s Hint: They love crowded places, like the road to the station. A lot of people stop to play with them there.
Cat Location #2: The second cat is found in front of Tifa’s bar “Seventh Heaven”. It sits right of the entrance door.
Betty’s Hint: They’ll also go wherever there’s free food. Marlene says she always gives them some snacks when they go to Seventh Heaven.
Cat Location #3: To find the third cat location, head towards where your apartment / rest spot is. Just east of your apartment are some houses in a circle behind a fence. A woman with a green quest icon there will look into a dark metal tube and say “Hey, what are you doing in there? Come on out”. Go through that dark metal tube the woman is staring out. On the other end you find the last cat location in the courtyard, quite well hidden this one.
Betty’s Hint: I see a lot of cats hanging out near the Beginner’s Hall, too. You know the place. It’s the one with all the houses around it.
Return to Betty
After interacting with it you get a prompt to return to Betty immediately which saves you some walking distance. You can also walk back if you prefer. Talk to Betty, the quest giver, and her cats will come running back to her. The little girl is happy and rewards you with a Maiden’s Kiss potion (removes toad-related curses).
This finishes the Lost Friends side quest in Final Fantasy VII Remake.
