The trophy list structure looks similar to Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 1. We’ll have to beat the game on Hard difficulty. There are also a bunch of completion-related and collectible trophies: gather all World Intel in one region, gather all Protorelics, maxing out the Moogle Emporium, develop all possible Materia at Chadley, donate all items to Johnny’s Seaside Inn, win all Chocobo Races, finish all Quests, all Chadley Combat Simulations.
From this list we know the game will have 14 Chapters total. There are also some minigames revealed. There will be trophies for Queen’s Blood tournament, Gold Saucer, and playing Piano Songs. A powerful enemy called Gilgamesh will need to be defeated too.

Ben says
Seems like the game is going to be massive having to gather world intel from over 50! locations to get all trophies tied to that.

I loved Final Fantasy VII Remake, so I’m really looking forward to playing Rebirth. On the last game’s trophy list, I made the mistake of complaining about Hard difficulty, when in reality it wasn’t that bad, and felt more like New Game Plus. I’d still prefer not having to replay the game on Hard difficulty, especially since this will probably be longer than the 40 hours that it took me for a first playthrough in Remake. The biggest problem for me last time were those exercise QTEs, which were so difficult and annoying to complete, so I hope I don’t have to do that again. Overall, I’m expecting the Platinum trophy difficulty to be about 6/10 (or less hopefully).
As usual, I’m going to complain about the fact that this game costs £69.99 digitally, when it should cost £59.99. However, the physical edition can be purchased for about £55 right now, (which I won’t be buying just yet because I try to avoid pre-ordering and have other games I need to play first).
Clocker045 says
They said in one interview that chapter select will cover more like quests you completed. 14 chapters will be a cakewalk, can understand with the QTE though. Piano mini game is what will be my biggest annoyance I fear. Darts in the last game was patience, the bike mini game was trial and error. The mini games here will be more intense, especially Chocobo racing which looks like Mario Kart with its design.
jubilee64 says
Buy your PSN credit online and the cost is around £58 for digital (and you’ll get a couple of quid back in Stars credit on that too).
Anonymous says
For a long game like this, I’d rather buy the physical edition (I’m just complaining about the digital price, because I think it should cost a maximum of £59.99 for the standard edition). Also, you have to be subscribed to PS Plus in order to earn PlayStation Stars points on game purchases (and I’m currently not a subscriber).
GarageCity says
This will be a challenging trophy list, can see why they said 70-100 hrs to complete.
Tidal_Rider says
Looks very nice. It will take a lot of fun hours to complete.
I believe that the protorelics will probably be about defeating optional bosses – maybe weapons.
ljt says
protorelics are towers that chadley has you visting to uncloud the map area.
T N says
Thank god there is no trophy like push up challenge. I cannot get my platinum because of this trophy ????
zeon219 says
you still need to do the push up challenge for trophy, because of Johnny Treasure
dRk says
If only they could unlock hard mode for the first run… But I know it’s an utopia…
Anyway, I’ll enjoy every minute of this game, I just hope they won’t spoil too much my favourite game ever.
Mat says
You woulddn be able to stand a chance from NG ON HARD without some OP materias so it’s fair NG+ is required same for XVI
Gediminas says
for example, Crysis Core had Hard difficulty unlocked and you didn’t even need to play whole game with it.
i wish, it were something like that with these remakes. they are too long just to replay just for one trophy.
AS says
So there’s only one gold trophy? And it’s the Johnny one?
falsaai says
This is one of the games that I know they will be difficult, but I will enjoy anyway! I look forward to this game, FFVII Remake was absolutely my favorite Final Fantasy platinum.
AdonisIsBeast says
THANK YOU for another Hard Completion trophy. Made the appreciation for first game so much more meaningful
ljt says
Going by the trophies, it doesnt sound very likley that we will be fighting any superbosses or weapons. Also the protorelic locations obviously tell you where your going to access. i wonder if the icicle area and bone village will be part of this?? there is still alot to do after “that scene”
Nunya says
Maybe not weapons but there will be a superboss you can bet on that. If anything it’ll likely be one of Chadley’s simulations.
Snake2410 says
Gigamesh is very likely the super boss, we also don’t know what’s in Chadley’s combat simulations.
Snake2410 says
Like the other FFVII plats, these mini games will very likely be the bane of my existance. That piano one has me worried lol.
Stark says
“Piano Virtuoso” This trophy might be the hardest for me if it requires all “S” rank on play piano.
I just finished Demo, you need all great combos to get “S” Rank, it’s too hard for me.
Hex says
Repetition! if you do it enough times you’ll be surprised how much your brain will just memorise the sequence making the visual queues worthless.
Valkyre says
Ok I played the demo yesterday and that piano mini game sounds like proper nightmare….
The trophy description says “play well enough to achieve remuneration”. What exactly does this mean?
I played twice and couldnt get any better than a C rank…
I am really really worried about this one. Anyone has any idea?
Snake2410 says
Remuneration means payment or reward basically. I suspect that each rank above C might have some reward/payment, but it could be A rank. I doubt it’ll require Star rank for rewards/payments. At most A, at least B since C is the lowest rank. Hopefully only B rank is required.
okami says
Piano is difficult, the fault tolerance rate for the highest rating is 0, if the trophy requirement is the highest rating, I will definitely not pre-order
SilentResident7 says
Will you guys be doing a hard mode guide with recommended gear/materia loadouts?
PowerPyx says
Yes
ExodusAttack85 says
Man, I was really looking forward to doing some more Squat contests in the gym. I guess the Piano will have to do this time around.
BigChungyWungyGuy says
So no superbosses on hard mode?
Upgrade says
Thank all the gods for hard mode trophy
Sven says
I’m familiar with rythm games (and quite proud to own DJ MAX Respect plat, only trophy i felt i upgraded myself by playing) so piano i don’t mind, but the hard difficulty damn. I managed to get it on base game on ps4 but not on intermission which i recently got (sad how can aging can make you loose reflex), so i hope it will be more manageable here
Trosc says
Very excited about this game, even if I know it`s going to be hard because of the minigames (Nightmare for me in the first chapter).
However, finishing the game twice just for the sake of it, is something I will never understand. Still going to do it, excited for this new chapter!
mrcus says
playing the game twice isnt that bad you had to do it ff16 and it takes roughly 20 hours so i would guess the same here if you only go for main story and skip cutscenes
most trophies looks pretty easy except the piano one might be a pain but we’ll se at realese date
probably a 5-6/10 if you look at it
Kunegunda_GoRyl says
Expertise QTE’s were nor that bad 4me, but if there’s gonna be any boss gauntlets like the FFVII Remake simulation with that f0king dragon – I ain’t playing this.
Nikki_boagreis says
looks like it might be somewhat difficult, but still looking forward to the challenge.
zhen bin says
Hi,
When will be the estimated date the trophy guide will be out?
PowerPyx says
I’ll publish it when the game releases (including a full 100% wiki with walkthrough, all side quests, collectibles, bosses, hard difficulty guide etc).
It’s all prepared for launch, check back soon 🙂
PowerPyx says
Trophy Guide now available! Have fun 🙂

Kev says
I am gutted, I got 100% in 7 Remake but there is just no chance I am wasting my time trying here. The piano mini game. I can’t! My brain, it won’t even follow in time and then I get confused and hit all the wrong things.
Also, for some reason I can’t follow the 3D brawler either. Such a shame because most others I have been fine with. Oh well guess I just play this one for fun but it hurts that I won’t 100% this lol. Maybe I will try but I doubt it because the piano and brawler I just can’t do at all!
The fact the piano is only a bronze trophy is insane. To me, it’s harder than hard mode lol. It’s the hardest part of the game and it’s a mini game 🙁 No way should this be required to get 100%
Anyways crying over, I guess I should just move on because I know I won’t be able to do this. I at least had a chance with the gym stuff but not this!
