Final Fantasy 7 (VII) Rebirth How to Unlock Chocobo in Grasslands

In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth each region has its own unique Chocobo variant. These must be unlocked through different methods in every region. This guide explains how to unlock the Chocobo in Grasslands region.

Grasslands Chocobo

Chocobo in Grasslands region is unlocked automatically from the story, in Chapter 2 during main objective “Break in the Saddle”.

Grasslands Chocobos are colored yellow. Unlike other region’s chocobos these don’t have special abilities, they are limited to running, sniffing, and digging up treasures.
