Cosmo Canyon contains 30 World Intel Locations (Regional Data) in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. This walkthrough will guide you to all the world intel collectibles in Cosmo Canyon Region. If collecting via Chapter Select it’s best to do everything in Chapter 13 because you have access to everything in the open world at this point. #6 – Activation Intel 5: Spiritwastes Tower

#7 – Activation Intel 6: Ancient Capital Tower
To reach this intel you must fly to it from Gliding Range No. 16 on a mountain top south-east of the tower (see map image below). Getting up there requires jumping over many gliding range ramps: to start, go directly south of Activation Intel 6 through the lower desert area until you reach the southern border of the map. When you hit the south end of the map turn left and you’ll see a path leading uphill. Follow this path and jump from one ramp to the next until you reach the top, then glide over to the tower. The whole path takes around 3 minutes.
#8 – Fiend Intel 1: Wizards of the Waste
Objectives: Stagger an enemy / Don’t get petrified / Defeat all enemies within the time limit.
Simply defeat all 3 enemies quickly. Use “Focused” abilities to stagger the enemies fast (such as Cloud’s Focused Thrust).
#9 – Fiend Intel 2: Fury Takes Flight
Objectives: Stagger an enemy / Unleash a limit attack / Defeat all enemies within the time limit.
Use Cloud’s Focused Thrust to stagger all 3 enemies fast, this should be enough to fully charge your limit break (the yellow bar in the bottom right corner). Then quickly use Cloud’s Limit Break (via Command Menu). Beating all enemies in the time limit shouldn’t be a problem on easy difficulty.
#10 – Fiend Intel 3: Guardian of Gold
Objectives: Exploit an enemy’s weakness / Stagger an enemy / Defeat the enemy within the time limit.
Use Lightning Materia (Thunder Spell) to exploit the enemy’s weakness. Use Cloud’s Focused Thrust to quickly stagger the enemy.
#11 – Fiend Intel 4: Too Hot to Handle
Objectives: Pressure an enemy / Stagger an enemy / Defeat all enemies within the time limit.
Use Ice Materia (Blizzard Spell) to pressure the enemy. The same will also increase the enemy’s stagger bar, follow up with normal attacks or Focused abilities (such as Cloud’s Focused Thrust) to quickly stagger the enemy.
#12 – Fiend Intel 5: The Shapeless Assassin
Objectives: Pressure an enemy / Stagger an enemy / Defeat all enemies within the time limit
Use Ice Materia (Blizzard Spell) to pressure the enemy.

#20 – Expedition Intel 4: Blustercave Lifespring

Found in the north-east corner of the region, on a mountain. You must fly to it from the west, over the wind turbines in midair. You can either start at Gliding Range No. 24 and make a sharp left turn, or go all the way up to Gliding Range No. 29 and then fly straight ahead.

Found on the same plateau as Activation Intel 6 (be sure to unlock Activation Intel 6 first so you can fast travel there).
#23 – Excavation Intel 1: Dilapidated Ship

The first is at a cactus in the north-east corner of the search area, the second is in the middle of the area next to a palm tree, the third is uphill inside the stranded ship.
#24 – Excavation Intel 2: Cosmo Range Ruins
Unlocked after Expedition Intel 3+4. Found on the same plateau as Activation Intel 6 (be sure to unlock Activation Intel 6 first so you can fast travel there). There are 3 treasures total – one is on the roof in the first ruins on the right, one is behind the first ruins on the right at the bottom, one is in the first ruins on the left on the upper floor.
#25 – Classified Intel: The Wyvern Awoken
Unlocked after Expedition Intel 5+6. This is found in a cave in the south-west of the region. You can easily access the cave from the desert area, below the mountain, south of Activation Intel 4. Hold to summon the Jabberwock. It’s weak to Fire. A good strategy is to use Tifa, use 2 x Unbridled Strength to charge up her “Rise and Fall” move and unleash it with , this move will instantly refill most of the ATB bar, use Unbridled Strength again and keep looping through Rise and Fall attacks. When the opponent is staggered unleash Tifa’s Rise and Fall + Omnistrike (have 2 x Unbridled Strength activated before the stagger phase) to increase the Stagger %, then unleash strong Fire Spells or other abilities with your teammates.
#26 – Moogle Intel: Highlands Moogle
This is found on top of the mountain in the south of the region. To get up there, you must take the same path as for Activation Intel 6. If you already visited Activation Intel 6 you can simply fast travel to Gliding Range No. 16. If you haven’t been there yet, you must approach the bottom of the mountain from the west and fly from one ramp to the next to get up the mountain.
#27 – Phenomenon Intel 1: Avalanche HQ
Approach this location from the north and enter the ruins. Talk to the people in the ruins, then interact with the robot to the left. This will start a new minigame “Gears and Gambits” where you must defeat a boss in the middle and defeat enemies that spawn. It’s similar to the Fort Condor minigame. Each type of robot is strong against another type: Type 1 is effective against Ice, Type 2 against fire, Type 3 against Lightning. It will show the weakness icon above the enemy’s head, so simply play the ones matching that icon. You see an ATB bar in the bottom left of the screen, whenever it’s charged you can deploy one of 3 robot types by pressing . If the enemy has a blue ice icon you play your Type 1 which has ice attacks, against red fire icon you play your Type 2 which has Fire Attacks, against yellow lightning icon you play Type 3.
#28 – Phenomenon Intel 2: Empyrean Ruins
Found on a mountain in the north of the map. You must approach the mountain through the lower desert area to the north. There are wind turbines leading to it. Use the chocobo on the ramps to the north to fly over the wind turbines and land on the mountain.
#29 – Phenomenon Intel 3: Capital Ruins
Found on the same plateau as Activation Intel 6 (be sure to unlock Activation Intel 6 first so you can fast travel there). Climb up the yellow ledges north of Activation Intel 6 to reach it. This fight is significantly harder than the first two, as the enemies are flying and must be shot down first. You’ll need to equip your robots with gravity or missiles to shoot down the flying enemies. In the robot selection screen, press , then to auto-equip your robots with the best loadout for the fight. This will make it significantly easier. Because the enemies are flying you’ll be quicker to defeat them when you play two of the robot types they are weak against. For example, if an enemy has a yellow lightning icon, you should play 2x Type 3 Robots (equipped with lightning attacks) in a row. They will quickly shoot down the flying enemy with their missile or gravity attack and then they will follow up with their elemental attacks. This quickly clears the path forward to the boss. After putting 2 robots, let the ATB charge enough that you can place another 2 when the next enemy spawns. This way you always have 2 robots in reserve to counter whatever the opponents are weak against. If you don’t have any luck with your loadout, go back to the customization menu before the fight, and press > again to have it automatically customize your robots.
#30 – Phenomenon Intel 4: Temple Ruins
This is located on top of the ruins (NOT behind the locked door below the icon). To reach it, fly off the chocobo ramp north-west of Phenomenon Intel 3. You’ll land on a mountain, then must use the elevator on the left to reach the upper ruins, go upstairs and you’ll find this at the very top. The strategy is basically the same as for the previous encounter. In the customization screen press > to have it automatically optimize the robots for you.
That’s 100% of the Regional Data World Intel you can find in Cosmo Canyon in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
