Final Fantasy 7 (VII) Escape from Endless Writer's Block Walkthrough

Escape from Endless Writer’s Block is a side quest in Final Fantasy 7 (VII) Rebirth. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Escape from Endless Writer’s Block Side Mission (Odd Job). It’s also known as the Author’s Request. It requires you to take some photos of Red XIII as inspiration for a writer.

Escape from Endless Writer’s Block becomes available at the Gongaga Village Community Noticeboard in the Gongaga Region after arriving at Costa del Sol in Chapter 12.

Mission Info: I came to Gongaga to find inspiration for my next children’s book, but even in this verdant forest I feel the walls closing in all around me! I’m trapped in a mental prison – a maze of my making – and need a muse to deliver me from the creative doldrums!

Take a “Suffering”-Themed Picture
Take a “Odyssey”-Themed Picture
Deliver the Pictures

Starting Location: Escape from Endless Writer’s Block (Author’s Request)

You can accept the Odd Job from the Community Noticeboard in Gongaga Village, or you can go directly to the quest giver at Pear Blossom Bluff.

Take a “Resolve”-Themed Picture

Head to the Rugged Shoals at the far north of Gongaga, then take photos of Red XIII. For the best result, take a picture of him posing on the grassy hill. Make sure the percentage bar is 100% and green.

Take a “Suffering”-Themed Picture

Now head to the Gongaga Reactor in the far southeast. For the best result, take a picture of him sitting on the gate with the Reactor in the background. Make sure the percentage bar is 100% and green.

Take a “Odyssey”-Themed Picture

Next, head to the Gongaga Airstrip. For the best result, take a picture of him posing on the air control tower. Make sure the percentage bar is 100% and green.
