Here Be Monsters is the 35th main story quest in Final Fantasy 16 (XVI). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Here Be Monsters main scenario chapter.
- Starting Location: The Hideaway
- Requirement: Complete Black Light Burns
- Reward: None
- Quest Info: The ship Clive secured from his Uncle Byron is moored safely in the harbor of Port Isolde, waiting to ferry him and Jill to the isle of Drustranus, where Drake’s Breath rises from the Boiling Sea. The two return to the hideaway to complete their final preparations to bring down not only the Mothercrystal, but the Patriarch who saw Jill enslaved and forced to kill for his kingdom.
Objectives:
- Speak with Vivian
- Speak with Jill
- Make the journey to Drustanus
Speak with Vivian
Back at the Hideaway, there will immediately be a couple of new side things available. You can check the board for a new Notorious mark, as well as two new side quests located within the area.
New side quests:
Blacksmith’s Blues is marked as an important side quest as the reward is new schematics at the Forge. This one is also a chain that you receive the next steps for later for better items, so it’s recommended you complete these as soon as they are available.
When you’re ready to continue, head into the Map Room and speak with Vivian.
Speak with Jill
Once finished with Vivian, you can find Jill waiting near the elevator.
Make the journey to Drustanus
After speaking with Jill you’ll automatically be placed on the world map. You can still go around and do any side activities before this if you want before continuing. When you are ready, select the map point for Drake’s Breath to proceed to the next main quest.
