False Friends is a Side Quest in Final Fantasy 16 (XVI). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the False Friends side mission.

• Quest Giver: Brennan, Sellsword
• Requirement: Unlocked during the ‘Holding On‘ Main Quest
• Reward: 20 XP, 100 AP, 10 Magicked Ash, 1 Meteorite
• Quest Info: A recently unmasked Bearer has run away from Martha’s Rest due to his true identity having been discovered. The Bearer’s former friend Ronald is extremely upset at what he sees as a betrayal and asks Clive to help him locate the missing man.

Objectives:

• Inquire around about Norreis
• Search for Norreis
• Search for clues as to Norreis’ whereabouts
• Continue the search for Norreis
• Speak with Brennan at Martha’s Rest

Starting Location: False Friends

Inquire around about Norreis

Head to the nearby bridge and speak to the Sellsword.

Search for Norreis

Head north-east to look for Norreis.

Search for clues as to Norreis’ whereabouts

In the middle of the search area is a lamp. Hold to examine it.

Continue the search for Norreis

Head east to the wooden house and find Norreis outside.

Speak with Brennan at Martha’s Rest

Head back to Martha’s Rest (fast travel is quickest) and speak to Brennan to end the quest.
