Cid the Outlaw is the 27th main story quest in Final Fantasy 16 (XVI). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Cid the Outlaw main scenario chapter.
- Starting Location: Dhalmekia
- Requirement: Complete The Crystals’ Curse
- Reward: None
- Quest Info: Five years have come and gone since the fall of Drake’s Head and the tragic death of Cid, the man who saved Clive and Jill from slavery and changed their lives forever. In that time, Clive has taken up his mentor’s name and the mantle of outlaw that he might continue Cid’s legacy and see the chains struck from the realm’s downtrodden.
Objectives:
- Defeat Kupka’s private guard
- Return to the hideaway
Defeat Kupka’s private guard
After a number of long scenes, you’ll be in a circular arena fighting a number of basic soldiers. You also now have access to the Eikon Ramuh, so this is a good time to try out some of the powers. You can’t switch powers during combat, but when you can it would be highly recommended to swap one of the two for Lightning Rod, which is incredibly good for dealing stagger damage against enemies.
Defeat the two waves of soldiers however you like, then an enemy called a Republican War Panter will appear as a boss. This enemy is actually pretty basic for a boss now, as they only have basic swipes and slow swings you’ve seen from other enemies before.
They have one named attack, called Savage which they will do later in the fight. This is one of the attacks like the grab Benedikta would do where if you get hit with the first swings you have a small window to dodge away from the second part of the attack, otherwise you take a big chunk of damage. Try to avoid the first two swings if possible, if not they swing twice then jump back, and you have a small window before they jump at you again to dodge.
Return to the hideaway
Once the War Panther is defeated you’ll be back on the world map, and must select the new Hideaway location to continue.
This finishes Cid the Outlaw Main Quest in Final Fantasy 16 (XVI).
