Bolts from the Blue is the 39th main story quest in Final Fantasy 16 (XVI). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Bolts from the Blue main scenario chapter.
- Starting Location: The Hideaway
- Requirement: Complete Capital Punishment
- Reward: None
- Quest Info: Kupka is defeated – but before Clive can land the finishing blow, the downed Dominant is spirited away by a mysterious man from Waloed. Our heroes return to the hideaway to try to make sense of these strange developments.
Objectives:
- Speak with Otto
- Speak with Mid
- Fulfill Mid’s request
- Visit the infirmary
- Speak with Gav in the shelves
- Speak with Vivian
- Speak with Byron
- Speak with Otto
- Return to Byron
- Make for the Velkroy Desert
Speak with Otto
Back in the Hideaway, head over and speak with Otto before doing anything else.
Speak with Mid
After the scenes where you meet with her, head up the stairs towards the back of the Hideaway to The Haven. Interact with her on the left by the blocked stairwell.
Fulfill Mid’s request
You’ll now need to help Mid out to get the workshop up and running. Note that now is when new items are available at the vendors, which you need to go to anyway for the subquest.
Subquest:
Visit the infirmary
After completing the subquest, you’ll need to head to the infirmary. There are also now a couple of new side quests that are now available.
New side quests:
Speak with Gav in the shelves
After speaking with Tarja, head back over to the Shelves to meet with Gav.
Speak with Vivian
With Mid’s workshop now complete, head over and speak with Vivian.
Speak with Byron
A new guest arriving, head down the lift again to the pier to meet with Clive’s uncle, followed by a briefing from Vivian.
Speak with Otto
Head over and speak with Otto.
Return to Byron
When you’re ready to leave, head over and speak with Byron by the bottom of the stairs.
Make for the Velkroy Desert
Now on the world map, you can select the new location to enter The Velkroy Desert in Dhalmekia and proceed to the next main quest.
