Retrieve the Field Kit
Go to The Inquisitor’s Grave and you’ll find Selene standing at the edge of a large hole, absolutely freaking out. She wants you to climb down and get her field kit, which contains all of her gathered herbs. Medicinal, I assure you.
Drop down to the ledge below, and move all the way around to the left so that you can easily jump down to the platform containing the field kit.
Or not.
Find a Way Out
In the watery bottom of the shaft you can dive for some random items that have fallen in, but there’s nowhere to go but a hallway near the edge of the water to the south. Follow the waypoint into the hallway.
When you reach the search zone at the end of the hallway, turn both valves to the open position to increase the water pressure.
This will cause the pipe to burst and flood the tunnel with water.
Escape the Rising Water
Run back down the hallway which is quickly filling with water. Dive where necessary to get through doors, until you’re back in the main shaft beneath Selene.
Raise the Water Level
The water level in the main shaft has risen as well, stopping only when you are level with the next hallway to the west. Funny coincidence, that. Follow the hallway to the end, killing some wild dogs along the way.
Eventually you’ll come to a point where you will have to swim underwater in order to proceed.
Dive in and swim until you reach a ladder for Silo B to climb out. Make sure to use your sprint button so that you don’t run out of air.
At the top of the ladder, go through a door to find another pressure valve.
Turn it to the open position and you’ll see a valve start to spew steam. Though it shines like it’s supposed to be interactive, there’s no contextual prompt if you get near it. That’s because you have to shoot it!
The pressure will begin to build and the cap on the end of the pipe will blow out, smashing through the door to the North. Enter the next room.
This room is a little more complicated than the last one. There are five pipes with valves in the room, all of which are labeled to indicate the direction of water flow in and out of a large vertical water tank.
You want to close every valve that is leading out of the water tank, and open every valve that is leading in.
This will cause the pressure in the water tank to rise until it bursts.
Escape the Rising Water
Follow the waypoint through a door and into a blocked passage. There is a pile of junk that you can’t get over until the water rises high enough for you to swim between the junk and the ceiling. Swim down the passage until you reach a pocket of air at a dead end.
Climb on the barrels in the center of the room, and shoot the shining valve to the East, causing the pipe cap to burst and smash open the door to the West.
Follow the hallway until you reach the main shaft again.
Raise the Water Level
You can now reach a ladder to the Northeast. Climb the ladder and enter the hallway at the top. Watch out for snakes (and other larger creatures) as you follow the hallway to its end.
When you finally reach the waypoint, turn the large valve and watch as all hell breaks loose. Swim for your life! Run and/or swim all the way back to the door that leads back into the main shaft.
Retrieve the Field Kit
By now, the water will have risen to the point where you can retrieve Selene’s Field Kit.
Talk to Selene
Turn around and climb the ladder that can now be reached. Talk to Selene to finish the mission.
This concludes the “Deep Dive” main mission in Far Cry New Dawn. Selene also joins you as a Specialist at Prosperity which unlocks the Infirarmy (Health Upgrades).
