Far Cry 6 Weapon of Choice Walkthrough

Weapon of Choice is a Main Story Quest (Operation) in Far Cry 6. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Weapon of Choice main mission.

Requirement: Complete Operation “Tourist Trap”
Reward: 150 Guerrilla XP
Mission Info: Whatever McKay is working on at La Joya Refinery, it’s valuable to him. He’s got security and scientists working there around the clock. Rendezvous with a team of guerrillas, and let’s figure out what’s being made there.

Objectives:

• Meet the guerrillas at the La Joya Refinery
• Break into McKay’s refinery
• Find the refinery control terminal
• Hack the refinery control terminal
• Activate the manual override switch
• Escape the refinery

Starting Location: Weapon of Choice

Weapon of Choice is an operation available at Valera Lumberyaard in La Joya, El Este after completing “Tourist Trap“. It can be started by talking to Yelena Morales.

Meet the guerrillas at the La Joya Refinery

Head to the mission marker at the La Joya Refinery.

Break into McKay’s refinery

Interact with the trigger to blow the doors to the refinery, then kill everyone inside and head downstairs to the basement.

Find the refinery control terminal

In the basement, either sneak past the enemies or kill them, and head into the room in the right to find the control terminal.

Hack the refinery control terminal

Interact with the control terminal to start the hack. Enemies will now assault you, so you will need to stop them from interrupting the hack.

Activate the manual override switch

Once the hack is complete, activate the manual override switch with big green light next to it.

Escape the refinery

After about a minute of being trapped, Lucky Mama will blast a hole in the wall for you. Follow the path through the refinery to find an exit. Once you get outside, there will be 2 helicopters waiting for you. You can destroy these if you like, or you can simply go down the zipline, jump on a quadbike and get out of the refinery.

This finishes Weapon of Choice operation in Far Cry 6.
