Far Cry 6 Boom or Bust Walkthrough

Boom or Bust is a Yaran Story (Side Quest) in Far Cry 6. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Boom or Bust side mission.

Sub-Region: Balaceras
Quest Giver: Juan Cortez
Requirement: Interact with note near Villa Judia Hotel to get the quest, or head straight for the container that contains the dog Amigo Boom Boom to complete the quest instantly.
Reward: 100 XP, Boom Boom Amigo
Mission Info: Libertad can always use more weapons. Especially American weapons. Find them and bring them back to the cause, Dani.

Starting Location: Boom or Bust

Unlike most other quests in the game, Boom and Bust isn’t given to you by a person, but instead can only be triggered by reading a note in Valle De Oro > Balaceras > near Villa Judia Hotel. It’s next to where you talk to Bembe after Main Operation “Balance the Books” and it should have a purple Yaran Story icon over it. It’s pretty much in plain sight between Main Operations that bring you to this place. However, in some cases the purple Yaran Story icon doesn’t show up above the note. It’s pinned to a wooden board. See exact location below with the note circled in red. Alternatively, you can also head straight for the weapons shipment container that contains the dog amigo “Boom Boom”, without ever needing to accept the quest.

Head to Feroza

Head to the town Feroza in Valle De Oro (Central Region). This town is just north of Camp Maximus, your main camp in the region.

Find the lost weapons shipment

If you are tracking the quest you should have a yellow search area. There are many blue shipment containers with locks on them. However, only a specific one will have the “weapons shipment” that we need. It’s at the west edge of the search area (very west of town), in an open warehouse is a single blue container (2nd & 3rd image below). Shoot off the lock to find the “weapon” inside, which is actually a new Amigo called Boom Boom. He’s your dog teammate that you can call to aid you.
