Far Cry 5 - Tools of the Trade Side Mission Walkthrough

Tools of the Trade is a Side Quest in Far Cry 5. This walkthrough shows how to complete this Quest.

Objectives:

Scare Dylan by shooting things around his RV
Talk to Skylar
Follow Skylar
Catch Trout (3)
Talk to Skylar

Skylar will be at Dylan’s Master Bait Shop in Widow’s Creek. You might find her by accident or from NPC’s while randomly talking with them.
She will be banging against Dylan’s RV because he still has some of her fishing poles.

She asks us for help – destroying his property around the RV should change his mind. If you have something explosive on you, take it as this will most likely finish this objective with one shot/throw.

Just as predicted, Dylan throws the poles out of the RV after he’s been scared shitless. If you don’t have a fishing pole yourself, pick one up as well.
Talk to Skylar afterwards and follow her to the lake nearby.

Our final objective is to catch three trouts in the lake. Throw in your line and gently reel it in because these fish don’t like stationary but moving “targets”. Once a fish bites, hook him and reel back the line while moving in the opposite direction of where the fish is pulling.
Repeat this two more times and the quest will conclude after talking to Skylar once again.

Completing this quest will reveal a follow-up-quest called Gone Fishin’.
