Missing in Action is a Story Mission in Far Cry 5. This walkthrough shows how to complete this Quest.
Region: Whitetail Mountains (Jacob’s Region)
Area: west of Wolf’s Den
Quest Giver: Eli
Requirement: having finished We Must Be Strong for the first time
Reward: 600 RP
Objectives:
- Reach the Visitor’s Center
- Secure the Visitor’s Center
- Militia hostages rescued (4)
- Reach the Hawkeye Tunnel
- Secure Hawkeye Tunnel
- Rescue the Whitetails (2)
Eli informs us that some of the resistance fighters are being kept by the cult in a Visitor Center not too far away. The resistance can’t afford to lose any more members, so now it is up to us, to keep our numbers healthy.
Head over to the Visitor Center and take your time marking the enemies with either your binoculars or Boomer, if you have him unlocked.
Luckily, these guards are spread quite a bit over the area, so taking out hardly alarms anyone else, so you can either take them out with a silenced sniper / bow or sneak up to them carefully.
Free any hostage as soon as you are close to them to avoid unnecessary casualties in case you might get spotted later on.
Once you have killed all the guards and saved the hostages, you will be called over radio and must head on a bit more to the south-west, where two more hostages are being kept at a tunnel.
There would be the direct road right through the tunnel, or the sneakier one around it. The sneaky way allows you to efficiently take out the enemies, while the one’s stationed in the tunnel not necessarily will get alarmed, while you free the hostages.
Once the area is secured, this quest will conclude and Eli will call you over to the Wolf’s Den for another quest shortly after.

How do you get to the sneaky part? I’ve gone all over this mountain and am clearly missing something!

From what I remember, if you walk from the first to the second location, there is a split in the path at some point close to the tunnel itself. The right way leads through the tunnel, while the left leads to the small plateau depicted above.
