Introduction
Welcome to the Far Cry 5: Lost on Mars DLC Trophy Guide! The most important thing first: after beating the DLC there is no more free-roam, it completely deletes your save game after finishing the story. Therefore you must do everything before initiating the game ending. There will be a very clear warning at the point of no return, it’s after you found all of Hurk’s Body Parts and activated all Antennas. This DLC is more linear than Vietnam. You may remember there were some hints at Aliens in the main game. Well, Hurk went to Mars to save the world from Aliens but got his body parts eaten by the space crabs. So he teleports his buddy Nick Rye to Mars to help him find his body parts and stop the Alien invasion. You play as Nick and the only goal in the DLC is to activate 19 Antennas around Mars to power on an AI and to find all 12 of Hurk’s body parts. There are 15 Alien Queens and 28 Collectibles you must locate for the trophies. The best thing to do is to activate all antennas and kill all queens first. Leave Hurk’s body parts alone. Then do all trophies and collectibles. When you have everything, grab the body parts to finish the story.
Step 1: Activate All 19 Antennas, Kill All 15 Queens, Buy All 12 Weapons
There are 19 Antennas around the map. Activating them is your main goal in the story. They act as fast travel points and reveal more of the map. Go to them first and kill all Alien Queens along the way. Alien Queens are marked as ‘Energy Cores’ on the map. Simply go to the power core locations and turn on all antennas to find the 15 Queens.
To activate Antennas you need Power Cores, which are dropped by the Queens. So these two things work perfectly together. This will also give you enough money to buy all 12 weapons in the game. They can be bought at any Antenna.
Along the way, do the two combat trophies: 10 Power Glove takedowns (must unlock them at the “Solar System Observatory” Antenna) and throw Crabmones at 10 Aliens (those are green alien eggs growing in Nests).
Remember you have to do all trophies/collectibles before initiating the game ending. After the story there is no more free-roam and it automatically deletes your save game. To ensure you don’t trigger the ending, don’t pick up the last body part of Hurk.
Step 2: Collect All 28 Larry’s Notes
The only gold trophy in the DLC and it’s worth 47% trophy completion. You have to pick up all 28 Larry’s Notes around Mars. These are NOT marked on the map. Refer to the “Martian Journal” or the link below for their locations. Be sure to grab them before triggering the game ending.

Step 3: Complete the Story
With all other trophies done, it’s now time to initiate the story ending. You must have activated all 19 Antennas and found all 12 of Hurk’s Body Parts. Then an orange marker pops up at the Control Center in the middle of the map. Go there and activate the AI (it will warn you that this is the point of no return, come well prepared).
Far Cry 5: Lost on Mars DLC Trophy Guide
DLC: Mars: Welcome to Mars Reboot the Terminal on top of the Control Center Antenna. |
||
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. This is the first trophy you will earn in the Mars DLC, rewarded for activating the first antenna (fast travel point). | ||
DLC: Mars: Bug Squasher Perform 10 takedowns on Arachnids using the Power Glove. |
||
You acquire the Power Glove in the Solar System Observatory. That’s an Antenna location in the north-east (top right corner) of the map, marked by a red icon. When you get there you must first clear out the enemies, then enter a room with lasers. It will automatically unequip all your weapons and the computer voice tells you to pick up the Power Gloves “in case you need to defend yourself”. They are unmissable, you have to pick them up for activating this antenna.
Afterwards, you can perform takedowns by hovering over an enemy ( hold ) and press . This will make you smash down and rip out the red weak point on enemy’s backs. Do note that not all enemies have the red weak point and takedowns won’t work on them. It only works on enemies with red weak points. Fastest way is to run over the sand to attract enemies. The screenshot below shows the location of the power gloves: |
||
DLC: Mars: Mars Second Amendment Buy 12 weapons. |
||
There are exactly 12 Weapons in the Mars DLC. Activate all Antennas around the map to get the blueprints. I also did the 5 Geothermal Anomalies which are marked as “Energy Cores” on the map.
By killing all 15 Queens and activating all 19 Antennas you get enough money to buy the weapons. They can be bought from the 3D Printer at every Antenna. If you are short on cash, do the Clutch Nixon Wingsuit challenges which give 1000 money each. |
||
DLC: Mars: Slimy Death Hit 10 Arachnids with Crabmones. |
||
Crabmones are the Alien Eggs found in Nests. They are always near Queens. You can also buy them from the 3D Printer at every Antenna. Simply throw 10 of these at 10 different Aliens.
To collect the eggs, fly close to them. There are plenty of these, no need to buy them. An Alien that’s hit by a Crabmone will be stunned and attacked by all other Aliens in the vicinity. This is particularly useful against Queens. You can only carry 3 Crabmones at a time. When you find a nest: loot all eggs, run over the sand to summon aliens, throw the eggs, and loot the Nest again if there are any eggs left. |
||
DLC: Mars: Nick’s Story Complete the game (Host Only). |
||
Complete the story on any difficulty (trophy unlocks on easy).
The goal of the game is to activate 19 Antennas and find 12 of Hurk’s body parts. After that’s done go to the quest marker “Save the World” at the Control Center in the middle of the map. Then you can turn on the AI. Beware, this is the point of no return. There is no free-roam after the story and it will delete your DLC save after completing it. |
||
DLC: Mars: The Queen is Dead! Kill all the Queens (Host Only). |
||
15 Aliens Queens can be found around Mars. They are all marked as “Energy Core” locations. They have fixed positions. Sometimes there are 2-3 in the same spot.
Queens are the toughest enemies. Throw Crabmones (Alien Eggs) to stun them. The best weapons to use are the Obliteratorrrr, Hellfire, Tazer Spazer Annihilazer. If you have trouble, put the game on easy difficulty. Go to every Energy Core location on the map to find them all. Remember to kill them before triggering the game ending (no free roam after that). |
||
DLC: Mars: Martian Journal Collect all of Larry’s notes (Host Only). |
||
There are 28 Larry’s Notes in the Far Cry 5 Mars DLC. They are collectibles, found at man-made structures. These are not marked on the map but when you get close it will show an orange marker on the document (must have world icons enabled in settings). You can grab them at any time after unlocking the Gravity Belt (found Hurk’s Pelvis). The best time is after having activated all antennas, then you can quickly fast travel around the map.
Remember to collect them before triggering the game ending (no free roam after that). See the guide below for their locations. |
