Elden Ring Weeping Peninsula Walkthrough

March 4, 2022 by Gage Leave a Comment

Welcome to the Elden Ring Walkthrough for the Weeping Peninsula region! The Weeping Peninsula is an optional area, without having anything in it specifically required for any story progression. It does contain one boss required for a trophy/achievement though (which also drops a Legendary Armament) and is a decent area to explore early in the game as you’re getting started and getting your bearings in the game world. If you’re struggling to get through Stormveil or fighting Godrick then it’s a decent area to work through to level up and upgrade your items a bit.

For all other regions refer to Elden Ring Walkthrough.

Weeping Peninsula

Progression Order:

  • Bridge of Sacrifice
  • Castle Morne Rampart
  • Castle Morne Lift
  • Behind the Castle
  • Beside the Rampart Gaol
  • Leonine Misbegotten
  • Morne Moangrave

Bridge of Sacrifice

To reach the Weeping Peninsula you need to head to the very south of Limgrave. Here you can find the Bridge of Sacrifice.

Head across the bridge watching out for the soldiers and the turret in the middle, then head over to the right for the nearby site of grace.

You can then continue down the path leading south. On the east side of the road, you can stop and speak to a woman named Irina. She tells you about the situation currently at Castle Morne (where you want to go for the area boss) and gives you a letter to her father at the castle.

You can then continue following the path south. There will be a number of enemies in the clearing around the crashed carriage, along with a Giant hanging out on the right side. Deal with them or run past, then there will be the next site of grace on the left before reaching the castle rampart.

Castle Morne Rampart

There is a nearby vendor whose most important items are a Cracked Pot and Stonesword Key which you should grab as you go by. Head through the hole in the and down the path, watching out for the large arrows that will start flying towards you from the castle. A short way down the path you can see the castle stele for the area, which when picked up gives Map: Weeping Peninsula.

You should continue forward watching out for more arrows, and make sure to climb to the rocks on the right to grab a Golden Seed as you go by.

Continue towards the castle and you will see who’s been shooting arrows at you, a single Guardian Golem defending the gates. You can attack its ankles to take it down pretty quick, it’s not as tough as you think. If you take it out it also won’t respawn, making any other trips around this area less annoying.

Proceed forward and then you can find the next site of grace just inside the castle.

Castle Morne Lift

Head forward and take the lift up into the castle courtyard.

Inside the castle there are a large number of Misbegotten (the skin half-beast enemies you see everywhere) who you can sometimes find fight some remaining soldiers within the castle walls. To continue you can take two paths: either towards the back of the castle under the large archway then up a ladder down the right, or climb the pile of bodies in the courtyard and go to the right, going through an interior room in the castle.

If you go through the castle interior to the right you end up at the first areas with a number of Misbegotten fighting the remaining soldiers. You can take a short trip down the path to the left for some items, or go towards the right and climb the next ladder to progress further.

You will need to drop down to the next area of the castle walls. This is also where you end up if you go to the back of the courtyard (on the lower right there is the ladder you climb up).

Continue forward, watching out for the next group of Misbegotten where there will now be a couple who can fly and will attack from above. When you reach the wooden section of the walkway and turn to the left. If you head to the tower ahead you can find Edgar, Irina’s father, sitting at the top. Speak with him and give him the letter, then you will be able to summon him for the boss ahead.

Head back to where you were before, then you can jump over to the wall to the south to find the next site of grace.

Behind the Castle

You will now be following the path down the back of the castle. You can jump across to the next tower if you want, or drop off to the left to a wooden platform.

Follow the path going through the enemies, then you will need to jump down to the rooftop of the building below.

You can see the boss door up ahead if you look down to ground level. Continue following the cliff down, then drop through the middle of the next tower, carefully dropping onto the beams to make sure you don’t fall all the way down and die. When you exit the tower loop around to the left side to find the final site of grace before the boss.

Beside the Rampart Gaol

You can now head down towards the boss door. Just to the left before entering you can find a gold summon sign, allowing you to summon Edgar to help out.

Leonine Misbegotten

Reward: Grafted Blade Greatsword + 3800 Runes

This boss is a humanoid lion hybrid that wields a greatsword. It is fast and hits hard but the simple combination of spells + summoning the Wolf Pack Ashes along with Edgar makes this fight extremely easy. While the boss is busy with your wolf buddies you can keep spamming spells at him from a distance and turn this battle into one of the easiest ones in the game.

Once the boss is defeated it drops the Grafted Blade Greatsword, one of the Legendary Armaments, then you can activate the site of grace in the boss arena.

Morne Moangrave

There is nothing else to find in this area, so you can feel free to leave or explore the castle more. With the boss defeated you can return to Edgar again and if you told him about Irina he will say he is going to meet her. You can then go back by the Bridge of Sacrifice where you can find Edgar, swearing that he will get revenge on whoever had killed Irina in between when you met earlier and returned now.
