Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree How to Reach Northwest Area (Rauh Base)

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC contains a hidden area in the northwest of the map, called Rauh Base and Rauh Ancient Ruins. The Rauh Base is the lower area in the valley and Ancient Ruins is the upper area on the mountain.

Rauh Base contains one of the map pieces, and the path there isn’t obvious by looking at the world map.

How to reach the Northwest Region in Shadow of the Erdtree

Rauh Base

First, you must have beaten the Rellana main boss at the end of Ensis Castle. Then follow the road to the east until you reach Moorth Ruins site of grace. To the north of Moorth Ruins is a pool with water, there you find the cave entrance that leads to the northwest area Rauh Base.

Rauh Ancient Ruins

To reach Rauh Ancient Ruins (upper area) you must go through Shadow Keep. From “Storehouse, First Floor” site of grace take the west exit. Then you go over the West Rampart of Shadow Keep which leads to the area above Rauh Base.
