Elden Ring All Spell Locations

This guide shows all Elden Ring Spell Locations. Spells are Sorceries that you can cast using a mage’s staff. It is necessary to have a mage’s staff equipped, otherwise the Spells cannot be used. You also need sufficient mana (called FP in-game). When you run out of mana you can use a mana flask. You can distribute your flask charges between health and mana at any site of grace (fast travel point). The best starting class for using spells is the Astrologer. This class comes with 2 spells and a two-handed staff already.

• Glintstone Pebble
  • Starting sorcery of Astrologer, also available from Sorceress Sellen in Limgrave – Waypoint Ruins for 1000 runes, must go down the stairs in the ruins and defeat the Mad Pumpkin Head boss, then open door behind the boss to find the merchant. Can also be bought in Church of Irith from Thops.
• Glintstone Arc
  • Starting sorcery of Astrologer, also available from Sorceress Sellen in Limgrave – Waypoint Ruins for 1500 runes, must go down the stairs in the ruins and defeat the Mad Pumpkin Head boss, then open door behind the boss to find the merchant. Can also be bought in Church of Irith from Thops.
• Starlight
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Church of Irith – Can be purchased from Thops for 2500 Runes.
• Glintstone Stars
  • Bought from Sorceress Sellen in Limgrave – Waypoint Ruins for 3000 runes, must go down the stairs in the ruins and defeat the Mad Pumpkin Head boss, then open door behind the boss to find the merchant.
• Crystal Barrage
  • Bought from Sorceress Sellen in Limgrave – Waypoint Ruins for 1500 runes, must go down the stairs in the ruins and defeat the Mad Pumpkin Head boss, then open door behind the boss to find the merchant.
• Scholar’s Armament
  • Bought from Sorceress Sellen in Limgrave – Waypoint Ruins for 3000 runes, must go down the stairs in the ruins and defeat the Mad Pumpkin Head boss, then open door behind the boss to find the merchant.
• Scholar’s Shield
  • Bought from Sorceress Sellen in Limgrave – Waypoint Ruins for 2500 runes, must go down the stairs in the ruins and defeat the Mad Pumpkin Head boss, then open door behind the boss to find the merchant.
• Gravity Well
  • Academy of Raya Lucaria: Church of the Cuckoo – Go all the way through the graveyard area to the end where the water wheel is. Defeat the enemy that appears out of the black portal to receive this.
• Magic Glintblade
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Church of Vows – Bought from Miriel, Pastor of the Vows for 3,000 runes (turtle merchant).
• Carian Greatsword
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Church of Vows – Bought from Miriel, Pastor of the Vows for 10,000 runes (turtle merchant). Can also be bought from Sorcerer Rogier at Limgrave – Rampart Tower (after Stormveil Castle), he’s in a little church after the Rampart Tower site of grace. After restoring Godrick’s Great Rune at Divine Tower of Limgrave, he will spawn at Roundtable Hall instead.
• Glintblade Phalanx
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Church of Vows – Bought from Miriel, Pastor of the Vows for 2,500 runes (turtle merchant), AFTER giving him the scroll “Royal House Scroll”.
• Carian Slicer
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Church of Vows – Bought from Miriel, Pastor of the Vows for 1,500 runes (turtle merchant), AFTER giving him the scroll “Royal House Scroll”.
• Swift Glintstone Shard
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Church of Vows – Bought from Miriel, Pastor of the Vows for 600 runes (turtle merchant), AFTER giving him the scroll “Academy Scroll”.
• Great Glintstone Shard
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Church of Vows – Bought from Miriel, Pastor of the Vows for 2000 runes (turtle merchant), AFTER giving him the scroll “Academy Scroll”.
• Spinning Weapon
  • Can be bought from Sorcerer Rogier at Limgrave – Rampart Tower (after Stormveil Castle), he’s in a little church after the Rampart Tower site of grace. After restoring Godrick’s Great Rune at Divine Tower of Limgrave, he will spawn at Roundtable Hall instead.
• Greatblade Phalanx
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Cuckoo’s Evergaol – Dropped by Evergaol boss “Bols, Carian Knight”.
• Shatter Earth
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel – found on a corpse at the bottom of the tunnel, where 3 enemies are standing together around 3 yellow-glowing crystals.
• Ancient Death Rancor
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Gate Town North – Dropped by the boss “Death Rite Bird”. It spawns on the ruins directly south of this site of grace, only spawns at night. Requires 34 Intelligence and 24 Faith to use and summons vengeful spirits that chase down foes.
• Carian Piercer
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Caria Manor – On the ground level of the manor in the central-east section, there’s a scarab (small rolling ball treasure enemy), killing it unlocks this. Easiest way to find it is to go straight after entering the manor area until you reach a fountain, then take a sharp left turn and circle around the corner.
• Carian Grandeur
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Caria Manor – Manor Upper Level – after going up the stairs with the giant on it, go left and drop down the balconies, keep following that path along the “cracked pot enemies” until you reach the bottom where you can drop to castle walls where you’ll find this.
• Loretta’s Greatbow
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Caria Manor – Manor Upper Level – dropped by the boss “Royal Knight Loretta”
• Frozen Armement
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Caria Manor – Royal Moongazing Grounds – after defeating Royal Knight Loretta, head out to the open area and to the right, follow the path and you’ll find a scarab rolling a blue ball, defeat it to get the spell.
• Meteorite
  • Liurnia of the Lakes – Caria Manor – Behind Caria Manor, Royal Grave Evergaol – dropped by the Evergaol boss “Alabaster Lord”.
• Rock Blaster
  • Caelid: Sellia Crystal Tunnel – Found in a chest in the tunnel, in a hut further up (after jumping across the wooden hut roofs to get further up).
• Crystal Release
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Academy Crystal Cave – Dropped by the double boss inside Academy Crystal Cave, called “Crystalians”. Must insert 1 Stonesword Key at the Imp Statue outside the cave to enter the location.
• Terra Magica
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Academy Crystal Cave – Must insert 1 Stonesword Key at the Imp Statue outside the cave to enter the location. Inside the cave defeat the double boss “Crystalians” and then head up the elevator after the boss fight. Then climb a ladder to the top of the tower to find a chest containing this spell.
• Rock Sling
  • Caelid: Street of Sages Ruins – Inside the Street of Sages Ruins head down the stairs and open the chest to find this spell.
• Loretta’s Mastery
  • Miquella’s Haligtree: Haligtree Promenade – Dropped by the boss “Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree”, see How to reach Haligtree.
• Magma Shot
  • Mt. Gelmir: Volcano Manor – Reward from doing the quest for the lady on the chair in Volcano Manor. Talk to her to get a key, then enter the last door on the left of the hallway to grab the letter, talk to her again, read the letter from inventory, then a red marker will be placed on the map in the north of Limgrave, go there to kill an enemy, return to Volcano Manor and she gives you this as a reward.
• Roiling Magma
  • Mt. Gelmir: Hermit’s Shack – Found inside the Hermit’s Shack.
• Comet
  • Academy of Raya Lucaria: Schoolhouse Classroom – Continue towards the Red Wolf of Radagon boss room, then once you go up the second large set of stairs before the boss room there is an illusory wall on the left (bookshelf with no books). In the next room behind this wall you can find this.
• Rancorcall
  • Stormveil Castle, Liftside Chamber: Go out from the site of grace towards the courtyard, then loop to the right immediately to the ledge where the body is. Drop down, and follow the path to the bottom of the area where you can find a Teardrop Scarab that drops this. 
• Adula’s Moonblade
  • Liunria of the Lakes: Moonlight Altar – Make your way toward the Cathedral of Manus Celes and Glintstone Dragon Adula will spawn in right in front of the Cathedral. Defeating the dragon gets you this sorcery.
• Ambush Shard
  • Weeping Peninsula: Witchbane Ruins – Obtained on a corpse in the underground of this set of ruins.
• Briars of Punishment
  • Mountaintops of the Giants: Giants’ Mountaintop Catacombs – Leave the Catacombs and head North until you are in the open and head straight ahead Northwest and you will find this on a corpse near the group of 3 Fire Monks.
• Briars of Sin
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Artist’s Shack – Head North-Northwest from this Site of Grace and use the rocks to jump over the valley below to the cliffs on the other side. Once on the other side look toward the left and you will see a bunch of Fire Slugs and a Fire Charmer. Defeat the charmer and loot its body for this spell.
• Cannon of Haima
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Converted Fringe Tower – Head inside and while wearing any Glintstone Crown (Azur’s Glintstone Crown won’t work) and use the Gesture Erudition (obtained by giving an Academy Glinstone Key to  Thops) in front of the sealed door. Once opened head inside and upstairs. Defeat the ball of faces and up the stairs to the elevator ahead. At the top of the elevator head outside and around to the top of the tower where you will find this spell in a chest.
• Gavel of Haima
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Converted Fringe Tower – Head inside and while wearing any Glintstone Crown (Azur’s Glintstone Crown won’t work) and use the Gesture Erudition (obtained by giving an Academy Glinstone Key to  Thops) in front of the sealed door. Once opened head inside and upstairs. Defeat the ball of faces and up the stairs to the elevator ahead. At the top of the elevator head outside and around to the top of the tower where you will find this spell in a chest.
• Shard Spiral
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Raya Lucaria Grand Library – Can be bought from Sorceress Sellen for 8000 Runes.
• Shattering Crystal
  • Academy of Raya Lucaria: Debate Parlor – Head outside and look toward the left and you will see a crumbling set of stairs. Head up them and then up the other set straight ahead. Follow it up and to the left and hop over the railing to another stairset. Follow it up and around and jump over the railing ahead with the item on it to the rooftops ahead. Follow the rooftops South to a ledge with a ladder heading up. Go up the ladder and follow the path straight ahead and around the tower ahead toward the right and drop down to the rooftops ahead. Follow the rooftops north until you get to the top of the Cathedral. Once on top head in one of the window onto the rafters and look down to see a purple item on one of the chandeliers. Drop down to that chandelier and down to the pathway underneath it with the enemies on it. On the Eastern side of these walkways you will find this spell on a corpse.
• Zamor Icestorm
  • Mountaintop of the Giants: Zamor Ruins – Found in a chest under the Zamor Ruins on the Eastern side of the ruins.
• Unseen Form
  • Altus Plateau: Mirage Ruins – Found in a chest at the top of the ruins. You will need to touch 3 phantoms around the area to make the tower appear.
• Unseen Blade
  • Altus Plateau: Mirage Ruins – Found in a chest at the top of the ruins. You will need to touch 3 phantoms around the area to make the tower appear.
• Tibia’s Summons
  • Altus Plateau: Wyndham Ruins – After defeating the Tibia Marina in the waters of the ruins you will receive this spell.
• Thops’s Barrier
  • Academy of Raya Lucaria: Schoolhouse Classroom – After giving Thops an Academy Glintstone Key at the Church of Irith head to this Site of Grace and leave the room towards the outside. Follow the wall to the right and around the corner to find the corpse of Thops at the study table where you can acquire this off his body.
• Star Shower
  • Academy of Raya Lucaria: Raya Lucaria Grand Library – Can be purchased from Sorceress Sellen after giving her the Conspectus Scroll for 10000 Runes.
• Glintstone Cometshard
  • Academy of Raya Lucaria: Raya Lucaria Grand Library – Can be purchased from Sorceress Sellen after giving her the Conspectus Scroll for 12000 Runes.
• Oracle Bubbles
  • Siofra River: Siofra River Well Depths – From the Site of Grace head to the building straight ahead. Head up the path to the staircase leading to the elevator. Instead of heading up those stairs look to the right (South) and follow the path higher up the underground ruins. On this upper path look at the wall to the right and you will see a break on the wall you can jump up to. Climb up the ruins and across the beams to the top of the ruins where you will find a scarab that when killed gives this spell.
• Night Maiden’s Mist
  • Caelid: Gowry’s Shack – Can be purchased from Gowry for 5000 Runes.
• Night Shard
  • Caelid: Gowry’s Shack – Can be purchased from Gowry for 4000 Runes.
• Rykard’s Rancor
  • Roundtable Hold – Obtained by trading the Remembrance of the Blasphemous Power with Finger Reader Enia.
• Rennala’s Full Moon
  • Roundtable Hold – Obtained by trading the Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen with Finger Reader Enia.
• Night Comet
  • Caelid: Sellia, Town of Sorcery – Obtained in the center of the town locked behind one of the three Sellian Seals that can be broken by lighting the flames in the towers.
• Meteorite of Astel
  • Consecrated Snowfield: Yelough Anix Tunnel – Obtained at the end of the tunnel after defeating the boss at the end, Astel, Stars of Darkness.
• Magic Downpour
  • Liunria of the Lakes: Study Hall Entrance – Obtained inside the Study Hall up the elevator by defeating the Preceptor Miriam NPC you will chase throughout the hall.
• Lucidity
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Study Hall Entrance – Straight ahead of the Site of Grace is a table with a large globe behind it. Walk up to the table and use the Carian Inverted Statue. This will flip the tower and you can proceed forward through the window where the elevator was and on the bridge ahead will be Preceptor Miriam again. Defeating her again will give you this spell.
• Great Ocular Bubble
  • Nokron, Eternal City: Mimic Tear – Head North to the end of the bridge and jump off the end over the right railing to the ground below. Now jump down to the path under the bridge you just jumped off. Follow it North to the end and jump into the ruins below. Make your way to the bottom floor and out the door, follow the path to the right all the way to the edge and look directly down. Drop down to the ledge below and make your way down to the ground below by jumping to the column sticking in the air. Once on the ground below look for an opening in the bottom of the ruins and it will be filled with a lot of crystalline enemies. Inside the opening is also a scarab beetle you can defeat for this spell.
• Carian Phalanx
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Seluvis’s Rise – Can be purchased from Seluvis for 12000 Runes or if already dead you can take Seluvis’s Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks and purchase it in Roundtable Hold.
• Carian Retaliation
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Seluvis’s Rise – Can be purchased from Seluvis for 9000 Runes or if already dead you can take Seluvis’s Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks and purchase it in Roundtable Hold.
• Glintstone Icecrag
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Seluvis’s Rise – Can be purchased from Seluvis for 7500 Runes or if already dead you can take Seluvis’s Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks and purchase it in Roundtable Hold.
• Freezing Mist
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Seluvis’s Rise – Can be purchased from Seluvis for 6000 Runes or if already dead you can take Seluvis’s Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks and purchase it in Roundtable Hold.
• Gelmir’s Fury
  • Mt. Gelmir: Volcano Manor – Given to you by Recusant Bernahl after finishing his questline and defeating Vagram The Raging Wolf and Errant Sorcerer Wilheim inside of Leyndell, Royal Capital. This only appears once you have defeated the enemies from the Letter from Volcano Manor letters and received the Letter to Bernahl.
• Fia’s Mist
  • Deeproot Depths: Across the Roots – Obtained after defeating the Fia’s Champions boss encounter in the Prince of Death’s Throne.
• Collapsing Star
  • Caelid: War-Dead Catacombs – Head down the stairs ahead of the Site of Grace and when you get to the room with all the ghosts fighting each other had to the right or left of the room. There will be a set of stairs leading down to a pool of Scarlet Rot with more enemies fighting below. This spell will be in a chest in the middle of the room in the pool of Scarlet Rot.
• Comet Azur
  • Mt. Gelmir: Primeval Sorcerer Azur – Given to you by Sorcerer Azur when speaking to him during the Sorceress Sellen questline in the beginning.
• Crystal Burst
  • Weeping Peninsula: Demi-Human Forest Ruins – Obtained by defeating the large Demi-Human enemy in the ruins, the miniboss is out in the open in the largest part of the ruins.
• Stars of Ruin
  • Caelid: Sellia Hideaway – Given to you by Master Lusat during the Sorceress Sellen questline. He is behind a Sellian Seal, you will need the Sellian Sealbreaker Key from Sellen after showing her you have met with Sorcerer Azur by showing her the Comet Azur.
• Crystal Torrent
  • Caelid: Sellia Hideaway – Obtained once you defeat the boss at the end of the tunnels behind the fog door, the Putrid Crystalian trio (Staff, Ringblade & Spear).
• Eternal Darkness
  • Caelid: Swamp Lookout Tower – Found in the bottom of the tower in a cell guarded by a more powerful enemy.
• Explosive Ghostflame
  • Consecrated Snowfields: Apostate Derelict – Obtained by defeating the Death Rite Bird which only appears at night Southeast from the Site of Grace at the end of the frozen lake.
• Founding Rain of Stars
  • Mountaintop of the Giants: Heretical Rise – Found in a chest at the top of the Rise, can be accessed by walking over and invisible bridge starting just east of the Snow Valley Ruins Overlook Site of Grace.
• Ranni’s Dark Moon
  • Liurnia of the Lakes: Altar South – Found in a chest at the top of the Rise. In order to get into the rise you will need to find the 3 Giant Turtles around the Moonlight Altar.
