Elden Ring All Somber Smithing Stone Locations

This guide shows all Elden Ring Somber Smithing Stone Locations. Somber Smithing Stones are used to upgrade legendary gear (special armaments). These stones come in multiple tiers, indicated by the number in brackets behind their name. The higher your weapon tier, the higher the Somber Smithing Stone tier needs to be to perform the next upgrade. For example, a “Somber Smithing Stone [4]” can upgrade legendary gear from Level 3 to Level 4. Do note that legendary gear has fewer tiers than regular gear.

Somber Smithing Stone [1]

• Can be bought from Smithing Master Iji in Liurnia of the Lakes: Road to the Manor for 2000 Runes.
• Can be bought infinitely from Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold after giving them Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [1].
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel – Found at the bottom of the tunnel, where 3 enemies are standing around 3 yellow-glowing crystals, pick up all the crystals where they stand.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel – Found on the left before the Crystalian boss fight area.

Somber Smithing Stone [2]

• Can be bought from Smithing Master Iji in Liurnia of the Lakes: Road to the Manor for 3000 Runes.
• Can be bought infinitely from Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold after giving them Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [1].
• Stormveil Castle: Rampart Tower – Follow the ramparts until you reach the room with the spider enemy, then go out the side door farther away from the painting to find this.
• Limgrave: Forlorn Hound Evergaol – Given by Blaidd if you talk to him after the boss battle, if you summoned him against the boss.
• Limgrave: Siofra River Well Depths – In the big open area with the lightning spheres floating around, on a corpse at a campfire.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel – Found in a chest inside the tunnel, after the site of grace on the right where two enemies are.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Caria Manor – can be dropped by the “large running hands” enemies in Caria Manor, for example one is burrowed in the ground to the left immediately after entering Caria Manor. Can try farming these enemies.

Somber Smithing Stone [3]

• 3 can be bought from Smithing Master Iji in Liurnia of the Lakes: Road to the Manor for 4000 Runes.
• Can be bought infinitely from Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold after giving them Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [2].
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Main Caria Manor Gate – In the east of Caria Manor area, at the dead-end of a path with some magic traps
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Manor Lower Level – After the Manor Lower Level site of grace, go across the manor walls, and before entering the next building drop down to the walls below on the right. There you find this on a corpse at the end of the castle walls.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Grand Lift of Dectus – Just before the Grand Lift of Dectus site of grace, in the outside area, head left and you’ll fit a scarab rolling a little ball, destroy it to get the item.
• Academy of Raya Lucaria: Church of the Cuckoo – At the very front of the church room where a mage enemy is standing, behind a wall on a body.
• Academy of Raya Lucaria: Church of the Cuckoo – Go all the way through the graveyard area to the end where the water wheel is. This is sitting on top of the altar where the enemy appears out of the black portal.

Somber Smithing Stone [4]

• 3 can be bought from Smithing Master Iji in Liurnia of the Lakes: Road to the Manor for 6000 Runes.
• Can be bought infinitely from Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold after giving them Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [2].
• Liurnia of the Lakes: On a corpse in the north-east of the flooded area, sitting on a chair.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Ravine-Veiled Village – Climb up the ladders along the wall until you enter a cave, then follow the cave until you can use an elevator, in the next section after the elevator ride you can find this as a white crystal.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Ravine-Veiled Village – Same cave section as the one above, destroy the “ball” on the way out the cave, it will drop this.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Ruin-Strewn Precipe – After this site of grace, walk past the bat enemies and go down the first ladder on the left, then you’ll find this at the end of the path on a corpse.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnels – Several of these can be found strewn throughout these tunnels. 2 as ore deposits and a couple as pickups.
• Caelid: Gael Tunnel – found inside Gael Tunnel, in a section with a large Land Octopus (tentacle enemy)
• Caelid: Sellia Crystal Tunnel – At the top part in the first room on a wall in the corner after going across a small bridge and up a ladder.

Somber Smithing Stone [5]

• Can be bought infinitely from Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold after giving them Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [3].
• Nokron, Eternal City – x1 Somber Smithing Stone [5] is obtained on the bridge after Mimic Tear boss in Nokron Eternal City.

Somber Smithing Stone [6]

• Can be bought infinitely from Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold after giving them Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [3].
• Caelid: Sellia Crystal Tunnel – x1 Somber Smithing Stone [6] is dropped by the boss “Fallingstar Beast” at the end of Sellia Crystal Tunnel.
• Mt. Gelmir: Ninth Mt. Gelmir Campsite – Dropped by the boss “Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast” at the very top of Mt. Gelmir.
• Mt Gelmir: First Mt. Gelmir Campsite – Can be found on a body in a chair Southeast from the Site of Grace.
• Leyndell, Royal Capital: Underground Roadside – In the sewers below the Royal Capital, from a scarab rolling a ball, unmissable on your path to the boss “Mohg, the Omen”, this will be blocking your path on the way to the boss.

• Can be bought infinitely from Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold after giving them Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [4].
