Elden Ring All Smithing Stone Locations

This guide shows all Elden Ring Smithing Stone Locations. Smithing Stones are the most important crafting materials in the game. You need these to upgrade and max out a weapon. Reaching max level on a weapon unlocks the God-Slaying Armament trophy. There are multiple tiers of Smithing Stones. At higher weapon upgrade levels you will need higher tier Smithing Stones. The high-tier ones spawn in late-game areas.

To upgrade your weapons, visit the smith at Roundtable Hold. It costs runes and smithing stones to upgrade a weapon, which increases its damage.

Smithing Stone [1]

• Smithing Stone 1 can be bought infinitely from Twin Maiden Husks merchant in Roundtable Hold for 800 runes. First you must defeat the boss “Crystalian” in Liurnia of the Lakes: Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel. He drops Smithing Miner’s Bell Bearing [1], give this to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold and they will sell you Smithing Stones 1 & 2.
• Can be farmed from the Gargoyle like enemies in Limgrave: Murkwater Catacombs but is a rare drop.
• Limgrave: Church of Elleh – Found on the Smithing Table in the ruins at the Church of Elleh Lost Grace.
• Limgrave: Gatefront – Found in the upper right corner of Limgrave sitting on a body hanging off the cliff next to some ruins where a giant ogre will appear if you get too close.
• Limgrave: Gatefront Ruins – Head up the path through the gate until you get to where there are no cliffs on either side of you. Head right and look to the left for a circle of dead enemies in the field and one sitting in a chair. This is on one of those dead bodies.
• Stormveil Castle: Liftside Chamber – Exit the grace room toward the courtyard and head right to see a body hanging off the edge of the castle. This stone is on this body.
• Stormveil Castle: Liftside Chamber – Exit the grace room toward the courtyard but instead of entering the courtyard head up the stairs to the Stormhawks. Get through that alleyway and there is an opening along the right wall with a woman in the room, this stone is in that room in the corner of the room.
• Stormveil Castle: Liftside Chamber – Go out towards the courtyard, but follow the path up the stairs. Continue past all the barricades and agro the Giant ahead of you. You then need to lead it back to the courtyard and bait it into breaking the statue, which contains some stones. 
• Stormveil Castle: Gatteside Chamber – Exit the chamber towards the castle and take the first set of stairs to the left. This stone will be on that landing in the back.
• Limgrave: Artist’s Shack – On a body just outside the shack.
• Limgrave: Limgrave Tunnels – Found all over the place in this set of tunnels. Any ore deposit on the walls that is yellow will give you one of these. There’s one in the tunnel with the rats. There are a total of 7 in this area.
• Limgrave: Highroad Cave – inside the large cave section where lots of bats are, on a body

Smithing Stone [2]

• Smithing Stone 2 can be bought infinitely from Twin Maiden Husks merchant in Roundtable Hold for 1600 runes. First you must defeat the boss “Crystalian” in Liurnia of the Lakes: Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel. He drops Smithing Miner’s Bell Bearing [1], give this to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold and they will sell you Smithing Stones 1 & 2.
• Limgrave: Mistwood Ruins – On the surface of the Ruins you will find a chest in one of the “rooms” of the ruins. This chest has this stone in it.
• Stormveil Castle: Stormveil Main Gate – Head into the doorway into a small room and proceed through following the main path. When you get to the part where you normally drop down to continue look to the right and jump up the broken wall leading to a landing with this stone.
• Stormveil Castle: Rampart Tower – Head outside and down the path past the first 3 Stormhawks and continue down the path but don’t head downstairs. Instead head to the end of the upper area until you get to a bunch of powder kegs but be careful as there is a Stormhawk waiting to ambush you from the side. This stone is behind the powder kegs.
• Stormveil Castle: Liftside Chamber – Leave the room with the Grace in it towards the courtyard. Instead of heading toward the courtyard head toward the Stormhawk up the stairs. Defeat the first one and bear left to fine another stairset heading upwards. At the end of this path is a body with this item on it.
• Stormveil Castle: Liftside Chamber – Leave the chamber headed towards the courtyard but don’t head into the Courtyard, instead head up towards the Stormhawks. Get through them and in the open courtyard you will see a small alleyway before reaching the stairs with the ogre on it to the right. This is at the end of the alleyway on a dead body.
• Stormveil Castle: Gateside Chamber – Exit the chamber towards the castle and take the first set of stairs to the left. Head up the next set of stairs beyond that and you will find this stone on that platform.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Lakeside Crystal Cave – At the very bottom of the purple crystal room, on a body. 
• Limgrave: Third Church of Marika – Head Northwest to a little spring with a giant bear fighting a bunch of wolves. This stone is on body on the stone in the little lake.
• Limgrave: Siofra River Well Depths – Towards the building ahead, go up the main entrance that has a few enemies with spears, this is on a corpse bent over the wall next to some stairs on the left.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel – 5x Smithing Stones [2] are found throughout this tunnel, pick up the yellow glowing crystals.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Main Caria Manor Gate – after entering the Caria Manor area, it’s directly in front of you, at an old fountain

Smithing Stone [3]

• Smithing Stone 3 can be bought infinitely from Twin Maiden Husks merchant in Roundtable Hold for 2400 runes. First you must find the item Smithing Miner’s Bell Bearing [2], found inside a chest Liurnia of the Lakes: Sealed Tunnel. Give this to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold and they will sell you Smithing Stones 3 & 4.
• Stormveil Castle: Stormveil Cliffside – From the Site of Grace backtrack to a cliff you can fall down and be near a Stormhawk and another one ambushes you from a pole nearby, defeat the two and follow the path to the right of where you dropped down. In the larger open area above you will see a Stormhawk pecking at the ground next to an item. Be careful as 2 more Stormhawk will ambush you from the yellow tree behind it. Defeat the birds and pick up the item on the ground for this stone.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Ravine-Veiled Village – Climb up the ladders along the wall until you enter a cave. Continue through the game until you reach the stone pillar, where you can pick some up off a body. 
• Liurnia of the Lakes: South Raya Lucaria Gate – Back south along the road to the gate, this in on a body beside the large head vehicle enemy.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel – 10x Smithing Stones [3] are found throughout this tunnel, pick up the yellow glowing crystals.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Caria Manor – Manor Upper Level – after going up the stairs with the giant on it, go left and drop down the balconies, keep dropping down and following the path to find this on a corpse (near some “cracked pot enemies”).

Smithing Stone [4]

• Smithing Stone 4 can be bought infinitely from Twin Maiden Husks merchant in Roundtable Hold for 3600 runes. First you must find the item Smithing Miner’s Bell Bearing [2], found inside a chest Liurnia of the Lakes: Sealed Tunnel. Give this to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold and they will sell you Smithing Stones 3 & 4.
• Caelid: Rear Gael Tunnel Entrance – From the Site of Grace head into the next little area and you can obtain this stone from an ore deposit on the wall.
• Caelid: Gael Tunnel – 7 more Smithing Stones are found throughout the Gael Tunnel, from the yellow glowing stones
• Caelid: Sellia Crystal Tunnel – Found in the tunnel from a white crystal, upstairs, after jumping across the wooden huts, dropping down into the destroyed hut and climbing up some ladders
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Ravine-Veiled Village – Climb up the ladders along the wall until you enter a cave, then you can loot this from where the enemy is picking at the wall. There are multiple further in this cave.
• Limgrave: Siofra River Well Depths – Towards the building ahead, go up the main entrance that has a few enemies with spears, go up the short flight of stairs to the right.
• Limgrave: Siofra River Well Depths – Near the stairs next to the waterfall on a corpse with several enemies nearby.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Lakeside Crystal Cave – At the very bottom of the purple crystal room, on a body. 
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Manor Lower Level – in the room with this site of grace, behind the altar
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Manor Upper Level – to the right of the stairs with a giant on it, go up those stairs, head right and jump to the castle wall there
• Leyndell, Royal Capital: East Capital Rampart – Continue out onto the rampart where all the round white enemies are, then jump down to the lower level on the right by the large firebreathing enemy. Turn around and find this in a room on a body.
• Mt. Gelmir: First Mt. Gelmir Campsite – Can be dropped by the human enemies at the campsite ruins.

Smithing Stone [5]

• Smithing Stone 5 can be bought infinitely from Twin Maiden Husks merchant in Roundtable Hold. First you must find the item Smithing Miner’s Bell Bearing [3]. Give this to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold and they will sell you Smithing Stones 5 & 6.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: The Ravine – Go all the way down the ravine staying in the water, this is on a body in the hut at the end
• Caelid: Sellia Crystal Tunnel – Several of these are found throughout the tunnel as yellow crystals, sticking out the ground and walls.
• Lirunia of the Lakes: Main Academy Gate – Go onto the bridge to the northeast and you can find a red summon sign before the first break in the bridge. Defeat the invader in the summoned world, then back in your world go near the same spot on the bridge to speak with the man you helped out to receive one of these.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Academy of Raya Lucaria – Schoolhouse Classroom – Halfway through Academy of Raya Lucaria, after the “Red Wolf of Radagon” boss, leave the room to the outside and go right and jump to the arches of the broken bridge. At the bottom end of the bridge is this smithing stone.
• Liurnia of the Lakes: Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel – These are plenitful being able to be mined off the walls as yellow ore deposits.
• Atlus Plateau: Abandoned Coffin – Straight ahead and to the left from this site of grace on a corpse hanging from one of the carts
• Lyndell, Royal Capital: West Capital Rampart – Drop down to the lower level, and go into the large room to the southwest, then into the door on the right and in the back behind the weapon racks on the right.
• Mt. Gelmir: First Mt. Gelmir Campsite – Can be dropped by the human enemies at the campsite ruins.
• Caelid: Sellia Crystal Tunnel – Can be mined off the walls throughout the tunnels.

Smithing Stone [6]

• Smithing Stone 6 can be bought infinitely from Twin Maiden Husks merchant in Roundtable Hold. First you must find the item Smithing Miner’s Bell Bearing [3]. Give this to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold and they will sell you Smithing Stones 5 & 6.
• Leyndell, Royal Capital: East Capital Rampart – Continue down the path after the elevator, then down into the next building where there are three paths. Take the path leading backwards towards the way you can to find a courtyard with one enemy and one of these on a body.
• Lyndell, Royal Capital: Lower Capital Church – Outside the church to the right, where the Omenkiller enemy is walking around
• Caelid, Redmane Castle: Chamber Outside the Plaza – After entering the castle in the south-east of Caelid (use teleporter before bridge to get inside), it is found at the altar of a church directly north of this site of grace, leading to the Radahn boss.
• Mt. Gelmir: Ninth Mt. Gelmir Campsite – x5 Smithing Stone [6] are dropped by the boss “Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast” at the very top of Mt. Gelmir.

Smithing Stone [7]

• Smithing Stone 7 can be bought infinitely from Twin Maiden Husks merchant in Roundtable Hold. First you must find the item Smithing Miner’s Bell Bearing [4]. Give this to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold and they will sell you Smithing Stones 7 & 8.
• Caelid: Sellia Crystal Tunnel – x5 Smithing Stone [7] are dropped by the boss “Fallingstar Beast” at the end of Sellia Crystal Tunnel.

Smithing Stone [8]

• Smithing Stone 8 can be bought infinitely from Twin Maiden Husks merchant in Roundtable Hold. First you must find the item Smithing Miner’s Bell Bearing [4]. Give this to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold and they will sell you Smithing Stones 7 & 8.
• Crumbling Farum Azula – At the end of the game after talking to Melina at the Forge of the Giants site of Grace, you will be teleported to Crumbling Farum Azula. On the first corpse in front of where you spawn you will find this. Many more of these are found all throughout Crumbling Farum Azula.
