Carriers is a Side Mission (Side Quest) in Dying Light 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Carriers side mission.
Region: The Wharf
Quest Giver: Carrier (unmarked)
Requirement: Speak to both unmarked Carriers at Main Terminal Station and PK Floating Fortress, or complete Side Quest “Rats in the Dark”
Reward: 250 Agility XP
Mission Info: The city is home to many organizations. One of the more interesting ones is the Carriers Guild. At first, they seem like simple couriers, but they are much more than that. A Carrier must be strong and fast. My kind of job.
Objectives:
- Find the Carriers Guild headquarters
- Convince Driscoll to let you join the Carriers Guild
- Find the package on the roof
- Gather letters from the infested building
- Report back to Driscoll
- Deliver mail to the marked locations
- Talk to Driscoll
Starting Location: Carriers
Carriers is a side quest in The Wharf that can be started in two different ways. The first way is to simply complete Side Quest “Rats in the Dark”, which appears in the Fish Eye Canteen through story progression but only if you haven’t captured Metro: Newalls Crossing directly underneath the Canteen.
The second way is btalking to two unmarked Carriers. The first unmarked Carrier is found inside Main Terminal Station in Quarry End, prior to completing Main Quest 9 “Revolution / Into the Dark“. He must be spoken before this point as this location will become abandoned after this.
The second unmarked Carrier is on board the PK Floating Fortress after completing Main Quest 13 “Observatory”. This is on the 2nd map “Central Loop”, can’t reach it until later in the story.
Find the Carriers Guild headquarters
Head to the marked location in Downtown. Climb into the building.
Once inside, interact with the door to find the headquarters.
Convince Driscoll to let you join the Carriers Guild
Speak to Driscoll to get your first test.
Find the package on the roof
Head to the marked location to the south and climb to the top of the building. Grab the package.
Gather letters from the infested building
Head to the infested building to the east and grab the five letters scattered around the room.
Report back to Driscoll
Return to Driscoll at the headquarters.
Deliver mail to the marked locations
First head to the Fish Eye Canteen and deliver your first letter.
Next head to the Missy and go down to the quarters. Deliver the letters to the man and the child.
Talk to Driscoll
Return to Driscoll at the headquarters.
This finishes Carriers Side Quest in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.

the girl disappeared for me after the end of the game (survivor choice)
Anyone know if it’s possible to find it? I searched the boat but nothing..
Archavia says
There was a first unmarked Carrier I forgot about who you could speak to earlier in the game, who I have since added in. I’m not certain whether speaking to him was necessary for the girl to appear in the PK Floating Fortress, or if she disappears after story progression. Did you speak to him at all, and if not is he there for you?
Lekozar says
He is no longer there, there is no longer anyone in the main station.
I didn’t speak to anyone about carriers. They are possibly be in other places now, or the quest may be missable
ANDI24_7 says
Those persons are not there after i completed the main story. I dont remember if i talked to them. But i need to meet briscol to answear the 4th question in the manhunt quiz side mission. So i think the platin trophy in this game is over for me, i already have 90%. I hate it, so many trophys and missions are glitched.
Steve says
Yup, I hate the same problem. Way too many side missions that disappear.
Alan says
in Memento list you made you should edit ‘Side Quest: Carriers X’ to say missable. I am halfway through Revolution and I am locked out of Peacekeeper terminal which means locked of carrier quests and locked out of platinum.
Archavia says
If you join a co-op lobby that has completed the Carriers quest line completed, you can still get the two collectibles as those areas will be accessible that way. I have mentioned which side quests/main quests have semi-missable collectibles in the respective introductions too.
Ray says
why is the carrier mission seem way shorter than mine?
I had to do like 10 of these stupid meaningless quests just to get to quest no.10
and get a collectible.
so dumb i might not even try to get plat on this game until fixes come in
Archavia says
This is just the walkthrough for the introductory mission, which is called Carriers. Completing this unlocks Carriers I, and so on.
Steve says
They need to add a new game+ option so that you can start over and still have everything that was collected in first run.
Sedative says
Someone on PS5 has it finished the questline that i can maybe join and pick it up?
The Side Quests just have one collectible (Tape) or more?
Archavia says
There are two: The City Classifieds – The Cable Guy (tape) found inside the Carriers Guild, and The Carriers Guild Assault (memento) found inside a building during/after Carriers X.
Sedative says
Was able to join a Session with one who was doing the questline. Have now all two 🙂
Shabyoob says
Not sure why my first message was like that, but I was able to start the quest line by ONLY speaking to the 2nd unmarked carrier at the Flying Fortress. I didn’t speak to the first one and I spoke to the second one as soon as I was able to get into the fortress.
Archavia says
Interesting, I originally had the guide written with only the second carrier being needed but had some people mention they didn’t speak to the first one and the second one wasn’t there. Not sure whether it’s intentional or a glitch, hard to say with this game.
Steve says
I’m currently on Broadcast and I have yet to see the 2nd carrier standing by the board in the floating fortress. Which doesn’t make any sense because technically she should be there.
SnakeSound222 says
I can’t even start this quest on PS5. At first I tried to talk to the first guy right before making any progress on the Revolution quest but I couldn’t even enter the PK base. The farthest I got was jumping on the barbed wire to get in but I couldn’t enter the area where the guy was at, which makes me think it was broken or I did something that locked me out. Eventually I just went back to a cloud save right before you raid the first bandit camp and beelined for the PK base. I got in but now I can’t talk to the guy. Am I screwed out of this collectible for this playthrough?
Archavia says
If you’re unable to start the quest line yourself, the best bet is to find someone doing the quest line through matchmaking (preferably someone on Carriers X), so that you can grab them that way.
Deadrestos says
There is also a way how to start this “carriers” and you dont need to speak to these 2 carriers…. First, you need to complete from bartender within fish eye a quest called “*something* rats”, which is, that you need to clear metro under fish eye. After finishing the mission and when you talk again to bartender, if he has a job… He will give you a letter and tell you about a way through metro how you can get to them… And there you go … Carriers quest started …..
Archavia says
This would explain why I never got that Rats quest, as both saves I activated the metro as soon as I arrived in Central Loop. Do you know after which story quest that quest became available at the bartender?
Deadrestos says
@Archavia
Not exactly sure, but I can pinpoint few things that I remember correctly…
1. It was after raid on Fish eye … Since at the start of talk with bartender he thanks you for saving his place…
2. When I was working on Quest Aitor, the quest was there… Because I had bugged waypoint marker on that quest, when I wanted to place the marker on other quest…
3. The quest was allready there, before I met Lawan on rooftop during Danior birthday “during the quest with paintings, where you took the bottles next to the corpse on rooftop”…
At least, that is what I remember…
Archavia says
Thanks for the info, much appreciated!
Jason-DFG says
I’m gonna try this tomorrow. Do you think it will still work if i already cleared the metro station?
Steve says
There’s way too many ways to get locked out of side missions and collectibles in this game, it’s just ridiculous.
Brad_90 says
@Deadrestos
Did you do any other side quests in the central loop region for the rats in the house quest to appear? I’m on the main mission observatory and I haven’t done any side quests in central loop yet
Mark says
Mine came shortly after the observatory mission just wait it out
