Tolled to Rest is a side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Tolled to Rest side mission.
- Starting Location: East of Ancient Battleground dungeon
- Quest Giver: Oskar
- Requirement: Reach the Ancient Battleground area
- Reward: 3000 XP, 9000 G, Ancient Battleground Key
- Quest Description: Once the site of a war between Vermund and Battahl, the ancient battleground is now overrun with monsters. Yet there is one soul who braves it still, driven by a sense of duty.

Starting Location: Tolled to Rest
To start this quest you first need to be able to reach the Ancient Battleground area, which is northeast of the Checkpoint rest town. When you go out the east exit the quest should automatically start once you enter the area of ruins.
Provide aid
Defeat any enemies nearby, then look along the path for a man dressed in red. Approach him and he will ask you to escort him into the castle in the Ancient Battleground.
Escort Oskar
You will likely be running slightly ahead of you, so follow him up the path leading into the castle. As soon as you enter you will start being attacked by enemies, so watch out as you progress. Oskar is a mage and will cast his own magic to help, so you don’t need to especially worry about him.
Once you go across the first section of upper wall you want to drop into the nearby hole, which puts you behind the locked door you passed early (which you can break open by hitting the board holding it shut). Follow him until you reach the room where he rings a bell (where you can also find a copy of Nation’s Death Knell which is required for The Sorcerer’s Appraisal and Spellbound quests).
Oskar gives you a key and runs off, completing the quest. Before continuing further you can use the key to open the door across the hall, which contains a couple of chests.

I did too. And forgery guy didn’t have it. Guess since it’s a side quest it won’t be found. Oslar died on me. I went to the morgue but he wasn’t on the lists. So i cannot revive him and o don’t see his body anywhere…lol
