Feast of Deception is a main quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Feast of Deception main mission.
- Starting Location: Stardrop Inn in Vernworth at night
- Quest Giver: Captain Brant
- Requirement: having completed An Unsettling Encounter
- Reward: Beastren Border Entry Permit, Portcrystal
- Quest Description: The coronation is the perfect opportunity to expose Disa’s schemes and unseat the false Sovran once and for all. Your preparations made, you’re set out to attend the grand event.
Objectives:
- Dress Formally and Speak with Captain Brant
- Await Captain Brant’s Plan of Action
- Consult with Captain Brand
Starting Location: Stardrop Inn in Vernworth
To start this quest, go to “The Stardrop Inn” in Vernworth, talk to the barkeeper and choose to pass the time until it’s night. Wear the courtly set and then talk to Captain Brant who is standing in the back. Talk to him and exhaust any new dialog options to accept and start Feast of Deception. A cutscene ensues.
To find the Courtly Set for free, go grab it from the Comptroller’s Home in Noble Quarter in the south of Vernworth. The items are upstairs. Equip both pieces “Courtly Tunic” and “Courtly Breeches“.
Await Captain Brant’s Plan of Action
Now speak with the innkeeper and pass the time.
Consult with Captain Brand
Talk with Captain Brant once again and choose “Tell me of the coronation”. The game gives a warning here to finish up any remaining tasks, it’s best to go through the quest log and clean up remaining quests now. Especially The Nameless Village & The Arisen Shadow become unavailable after this (any trophy/achievement related side quests are still available later and you can still free roam after). When you’re ready go ahead and advance. Alternatively, if you end up getting locked out of any side quest you can redo it in New Game+.
During the cutscene you will try to enter the coronation hall, but your pawn will get weakened and you will have to retreat.
This finishes Feast of Deception main quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Where do I find another Courtly Breeches? Seems like I sold it or dropped off.
PowerPyx says
You can find them throughout the Houses of Noble Quarter in south of Vernworth. There are multiple of them there. Alternatively, can buy it from the merchant in Vernworth but it’s expensive.

The game tells you that this is a point-of-no-return, at least to some degree. Any confirmation on which side quests or missable I might be locked out of if I complete this?
Dustin says
The main quests of note I immediately noticed went away were nameless village, and arisens shadow.

Now I can’t get the advanced dodge for the thief, and I need thief to rank 9 for a passive. Hopefully I can still manage but don’t rush turning in this quest, until you finish nameless village, and arisens shadow, I also lost two more quests too but this is tested and I’m 100% sure.
PowerPyx says
The Maister’s Teachings don’t require the Nameless Village quest at all. You can still talk to those NPCs any time. I did it myself at the end of the game and they gave the Maister’s Teaching. They aren’t missable.
See Maister’s Teachings Locations Guide.
