Introduction
Welcome to the Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero Trophy Guide! Sparking Zero includes a huge roster of over 180 playable characters and various game modes. Most time will be spent in “Episode Battles” which is the main story mode with cutscenes. Here you will have to also complete optional sub-chapters for their trophies. The Episode Map outlines the optional paths. In what order you play through the sub-chapters doesn’t matter, and you can always backtrack and replay them later after finishing the main path. Other than that you will spend a few hours in Bonus Battles and Offline Tournament modes. All the other offline trophies will come naturally while working through those modes. Then you just need to participate in 100 online battles but winning them isn’t necessary. The only slightly difficult thing for Platinum is that you must play some Episode Battles on regular difficulty and beat opponents very quickly to fulfill the secondary objectives for sub-chapters. But most of it can be played on the ‘reduced difficulty’ mode to get through the episodes faster.
Step 1: Finish all Episode Battles including Sub-Chapters [10+ Hours]
First thing you should do is complete all of the Saga missions (Episode Battles) and complete all trophy-relevant side paths. This is the story mode with cutscenes. Start with the main paths and clean up the side paths after. Playing on ‘Reduced Difficulty’ will suffice for the main paths.
Afterward refer to the individual chapter-specific trophies for how to unlock them. Nothing is missable, you can still play the side paths after finishing the main path. Some of the side paths will require playing matches on regular difficulty to fulfill their secondary objectives, but you don’t need to worry about this on the main path playthrough. You can’t make any wrong choices because everything is replayable.
Along the way you will reach Player Level 20 and earn enough Zeni to buy enough trophy-related items from the shop (50 Ability Items & 40 Characters). You will also earn the Super Shenron Dragon Balls from Goku’s Saga. Practically everything else will come naturally along the way so don’t worry about the rest. Things like 100 Titles come automatically as rewards.
Step 2: Finish one of each Offline Tournament [1 Hour]
Go to Go to Battle & Training > World Tournament > Offline > finish one of each type of Tournament. Each gives a trophy, except Yamcha Games which isn’t needed for anything and can be skipped.
Step 3: Complete 30 Bonus Battles [2-3 Hours]
Go to Episode & Custom > Custom Battle > Bonus Battles. You will start out with 24 of these Bonus Battles unlocked if you do them after the Sagas. The rest will unlock through completing other Bonus Battles. Start from the easiest difficulty and work your way up. There are 37 Bonus Battles in total but you only need 30, so you can skip any 7.
If you haven’t bought enough trophy-related items from the shop yet you will now have more than enough Zeni to buy what you need.
Step 4: Play 100 Online Matches [1.5-3 Hours]
Win or lose in any mode play your 100 online matches to get the online trophies out of the way. You can immediately Rematch other players and it will count. Winning isn’t necessary, the losses count towards the 100 matches too. You can keep track via the trophy tracker.
If you boost it in a private player match room with a friend it takes around 50 seconds per match (around 83 minutes for 100 matches). The player who shall lose should pick Gohan (Teen) as he has the lowest health of all characters (in character select you can filter by health in ascending order). The attacker should pick someone with fast attack speed like Vegito Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. Rematch immediately afterward instead of going back to the match room.
If playing against random players it takes a little longer because of the added matchmaking times, but you can intentionally keep losing to end matches quickly.
Step 5: Farm 7 Namekian Dragon Balls to summon Porunga [1.5-2.5 Hours]
The only thing you are likely missing at this point is summoning Porunga. To do this you need 7 Namekian Dragon Balls which are entirely random match win rewards in Offline Battle against the CPU.
Go to Battle & Training > Battle > Offline > P1 vs. CPU. Play any 1 vs. 1 battles (map and characters don’t matter). You can change the number of opponents by pressing in the character select screen, set it to just 1.
You will sometimes get the Namekian Dragon Balls after battles but it’s entirely random. Sometimes you will get regular Dragon Balls as a match reward instead. It doesn’t matter how you finish the match, it doesn’t matter on what map you play, and it doesn’t matter what characters are in the match. The drop chance is around 5% or 1 every 20 match wins.
To speed it up, pick an opponent with very little health to end the matches faster. Gohan (Teen) has the lowest health. You can rematch after the battle immediately without changing characters. If you get bored you can switch to other characters and maps, but you can and will earn Namekian Dragon Balls repeatedly with the same characters too. Finishing with regular attacks will be faster than using Ultimate Blasts so you don’t have to watch long animations. A full match including animations and loading times takes around 50 seconds. Assuming 15-20 matches per Namekian Dragon Ball x 7 for all of them = 105-140 minutes.
When you have 7 Namekian Dragon Balls, go to the “Come Forth” Menu and choose “Summon Porunga”. Then you can choose all 3 wishes to unlock the trophy.

See below trophy Connected Rivals.
Connected Rivals Fought in 100 Online Battles. |
||
For this you only need to participate in 100 online matches, but you DON’T need to win them! Every loss counts towards this too.
It also counts in private lobbies. So there’s no need to play any Ranked Matches. How to boost online battles (requires a friend or second console): If playing against random players it takes a little longer because of the added matchmaking times, but you can intentionally keep losing to end matches quickly. If you don’t have a boosting partner, simply join matches and let the opponents beat you up to lose 100 times. You can keep track of your progress via the tracker in the trophy list, or under Gallery > My Data > Record > Ranked/Player Match. |
||
Prepping For Battle Customized a character. |
||
Go to Shop & Customize > Customize > select any character, change any of the settings (Outfits, CPU Settings, Emote, Fusion, Sparking! BGM). For example, you can buy outfits at the Shop, but you will also unlock many customization items from Episode Battles.
Fated Confrontation Viewed 20 special Banter scenes. |
||
By playing through all 21 Sagas (including all side paths) you will automatically unlock this, so don’t worry about it. You will trigger many special banter scenes automatically as part of the story, especially in the optional sub-chapters.
If you haven’t received this trophy by the time you are done with the Story Arcs simply start a singleplayer match as Super Saiyan 2 Gohan vs. Super Perfect Cell and win the match as fast as you can. Simply ‘Retry’ the match over and over until you receive the trophy. Even better, you can combine it with A Flair for Fighting for viewing 20 Special Finishes. Choose Destroyed Planet Namek for the stage. For Player 1 select only Goku (Z – Mid) Super Saiyan. For the CPU select Frieza (Z) Full Power (press to switch to CPU character select). Play the match like normal but when Frieza has one healthbar left overcharge your ki and go into Sparking Mode (hold ). Finish Frieza off with the Ultimate Attack ‘Angry Kamehameha’. This will count as both a Special Finisher and also gives a special Banter scene in the process. |
||
A Flair for Fighting Viewed 20 Special Finishers. |
||
Special Finishers are the “Special Finisher Missions” found at Challenges & Missions > Whis’s Stamp Book. At the time of the game’s launch there are 3 total (Special Finisher Mission 1-3). You can scroll over the Finisher Mission and press the Menu-Button to view the details. All you need to do is land the final hit with a specific character’s Ultimate Blast. The 3 characters that have Special Finishers are:
To do this go to Battle & Training > Battle > Offline > P1 vs. CPU. Play as the required character. What stage and opponent you pick doesn’t matter. Now bring the opponent to the last health bar, enter Sparking Mode by holding to overcharge Ki (must have 1 skill point in top left corner), then press + to trigger the Ultimate Blast. If you perform it on the final hit to defeat the opponent, it will trigger a special animation screen at the end. The finisher is the same as if you perform it mid-match, the only difference being that you get the win-pose afterward. You can farm these by repeating the same one 20 times. Rematch the opponent and repeat the same Special Finisher 20 times. |

I Can Never Get Enough! Completed Goku’s Saga. |
||
Automatic story trophy in Episode Battle mode. Unlocks after Goku’s Saga > Chapter 7 > Universe Survival Arc. Completing the optional sub-chapters isn’t needed for this trophy.
Side by Side Completed the “Side by Side” chapter of Goku’s Saga. |
||
Step 1: Start Goku’s Saga Chapter 1 ‘The Earth’s Mightiest Duo?!’ which is just a dialogue stage. You will be given the choice to work with Piccolo or Go it alone. The choice you want to select here is ‘Go it alone’.
Step 2: You will start the fight against Raditz with Krillin on your team in ‘Raditz vs. The Turtle School’. For this fight you need to defeat Raditz instead of letting the time expire. You will want to defeat Raditz before Piccolo has the time to charge up his Special Beam Cannon. He will let you know when he is starting to charge it. All Missions from this point on in this side quest can and should be done on Easy. There are no side paths, it is rather lengthy for a side path and some fights see you taking on numerous opponents with little health. Step 3: You will be brought to the dialogue stage ‘Piccolo’s Proposal’ after defeating Raditz in time. Head through the dialogue stage to ‘Training Together’ where you will be given the option between fighting Yamcha, Krillin, Tien or Chiaotzu. It doesn’t matter which one of the four you fight as they are all fairly easy to defeat. Step 4: Defeat any of the four you choose and you will move on to ‘The Importance of Teamwork’ where you will have to defeat Nappa using Goku. Nappa isn’t difficult on this fight but moves around a lot. Step 5: Once defeated Vegeta will turn into a Giant Ape in ‘Great Ape Experimentation!’ and you will need to defat him using Goku, Tien, Piccolo and Krillin. Great Ape Vegeta spams supers over and over again and can cover distances really quickly so be careful charging ki. Step 6: The next step will be to defeat Vegeta again with only Goku in the mission ‘The Battle Resumes Too Soon’. Vegeta just needs to have his health reduced in this mission and blocks a lot of melee attacks. Step 7: Proceed forward to the mission ‘Team Combat by an Unlikely Pair’ where you will team up with Vegeta to defeat Dodoria then Zarbon. Dodoria is more difficult than Zarbon but eneither should give you trouble even if you are playing on Normal. Step 8: Once you take out Frieza’s goons you will need to defeat Guldo using Goku in ‘Mysterious Elite Squadron’. This is among the easier missions in this side quest. Step 9: Once Guldo is taken out you will need to defeat Guldo, Recoome, Burter, Jeice and Captain Ginyu using only Goku in ‘Consecutive Battles with the Ginyu Force!’. This is hands down the most difficult mission in this side node because you only have 4 health bars and each of the 5 Ginyu Force members also have 4 health bars. Take your time and don’t get into melee fights unless you are comfortable in your melee abilities because they block and reverse a lot of attacks. Step 10: Once all five of the Ginyu Force members you will have to defeat “Vegeta” in ‘Suspicious Vegeta’. This fight doesn’t take long, it is just there to show in this version of the timeline Ginyu swaps bodies with Vegeta instead. Step 11: Once Ginyu is taken out you will need to to stand up to Frieza in his first form in ‘Frieza’s Transformation’. This fight is fairly straightfoard but note that Frieza spams supers also, specifically his beam barrage. Keep your distance and be ready to vanish out of the way whenever he uses that attack. Step 12: For this final fight you will need to defeat Frieza with Goku and Vegeta in the fight ‘Side by Side’. You will start off fighting Third Form Frieza using Goku. Continue doing damage to him and once he gets to his last health bar he will transform into Final Form Frieza and recover all of his health. Continue doing damage and you will be forced to switch out from Goku to Vegeta to finish the fight. Once Frieza is defeated you will have finished this side path and receive this trophy. |
||
Pushing the Limit Completed the “Pushing the Limit” chapter of Goku’s Saga. |
||
Step 1: Start Goku’s Saga Chapter 1 ‘Rematch and Result’ on Normal difficulty. In this fight you will need to Raditz as Goku tagged with Piccolo. About halfway through Raditz’s health Piccolo will ask if you have created any new techniques. It will become a 1 on 1 match between Goku and Raditz at this point and you will only have about a minute to defeat Raditz before the match ends on its own to defeat Raditz. If you are able to successfully defeat Raditz in this short window a new side path will open.
Step 2: After defeating Raditz ‘Temporary Peace’ will open and start. In this node you will be fighting Kid Gohan. Simply fight him until the match ends, it should be a fast and easy fight. Step 3: After the fight with Gohan you’ll be attacked by a Saibaman in ‘Hurry, Goku!’ Take out the saibaman but be careful as it likes to throw super attacks at you every chance it gets. Step 4: After the Saibaman you’ll be brought to ‘Goku vs. Nappa’ where you will have to fight Nappa. This isn’t that hard of a fight if you keep enough ki to reverse melees. After taking his health down to the last health bar the fight will end. Step 5: After taking on Nappa the first time you will start ‘A Saiyan’s Education’ where you will have to fight Nappa one more time. In this fight you will need to take Nappa’s health down to about nothing before Nappa cries out to Vegeta for help and the fight ends. Step 6: Once Nappa is completely finished off you will be brought to the mission ‘Transformation’ where you will have to fight Nappa. Get his health to about halfway depleted and Vegeta will transform into a Great Ape. The Great Ape is the toughest part of this side path because he likes to spam his supers and they do a lot of damage and are difficult to dodge. Use your ultimate attacks from a safe distance to take out the Great Ape Vegeta safely. Step 7: After taking out the Great Ape you will have to fight Vegeta once again but this time as a Super Saiyan in the mission ‘Goku’s Rage’. Vegeta’s attacks will do less damage here and the fight should be won easier than the last fight. Step 8: Once you have taken care of Vegeta on Earth you will be brought to Namek for the mission ‘A Solo Journey to Planet Namek’ to fight a Frieza Force Soldier. This soldier is really easy to defeat and shouldn’t pose much of an issue. Step 9: Once the soldier is taken out you will come face to face with Vegeta again only this time he is Super Saiyan and he’s defeated Frieza already. This mission is called ‘Pushing the Limit’. This is the final node of this side path so all you need to do is defeat Vegeta to complete this path and obtain this trophy. |
||
The Changing Future Completed the “The Changing Future” chapter of Goku’s Saga. |
||
Step 1: Start Goku’s Saga Chapter 3 ‘Hyperbolic Time Chamber’ on Normal Difficulty. This is a dialogue node where you can select between waiting for Vegeta or going and helping. Select the option ‘Go and Help’.
Step 2: You will be brought right to ‘Defeat Cell’ where you will fight First Form Cell with Goku, Android 17, Android 16 and Tien. The match will be won one of two ways. If you get hit by the move Solar Flare at all from Cell or if you defeat him. To continue down this path you need to defeat him without being hit by the Solar Flare technique. Step 3: After defeating Cell all that is left is to dispatch the androids. First is Adroid 18 in ‘The Androids and Goku’. Take out 18 as fast as possible to move onto the next fight. Step 4: Next you will have to take out Android 17 as Goku in ‘Fun and Games’. There isn’t much here to worry about, just defeat 17 to move on to the final node. Step 5: This is the final node of this side path. You will need to take out Android 16 as Goku in ‘The Changing Future’. Once you take him out you will be done with this side path and this trophy will be yours. |
||
Mind Your Own Business… Completed Vegeta’s Saga. |
||
Automatic story trophy in Episode Battle mode. Unlocks after Vegeta’s Saga > Chapter 3 > Majin Buu Arc. Completing the optional sub-chapters isn’t needed for this trophy.
Parental Bond Completed the “Parental Bond” chapter of Vegeta’s Saga. |
||
Step 1: Start Vegeta’s Saga Chapter 2 ‘Wind-Up Doll’ on Normal difficulty. In this fight you will be required to just survive against Android 18 but to unlock the side path you will need to completely wipe out 18’s health. This needs to be done within just a couple minutes of the match otherwise the match will automatically end.
Step 2: If defeated in time you will be brought to the mission ‘Vegeta and Trunks’ where you will fight Trunks in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. This fight will also require you to defeat Trunks very quickly within a couple minutes. You will know it is done correctly if near the end of Trunks’ health he transforms into Super Trunks. Defeat Super Trunks to continue on this path. Step 3: Once defeated you will continue to ‘Power of Perfection’ where you will need to fight a newly perfected Cell. Defeat him and move on to the ‘First Cell Games Opponent’ mission where you will have to reduce Cell’s health in the Cell Games. Step 4: Once you trigger the end of the prior battle you will be brought to the ‘Parental Bond’ mission where you will have to take out Super Perfect Cell as Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta. Cell will counter a lot of moves so play defensive on this node. Once defeated you will complete this side path and get this trophy. |
||
Number One Spot Completed the “Number One Spot” chapter of Vegeta’s Saga. |
||
Step 1: Start Vegeta’s Saga Chapter 3 ‘Vegeta’s Wicked Heart’ on Normal difficulty. This is just a dialogue node and wants you to choose between shaking off Babidi’s brainwashing or allowing him to take control. For this trophy you are going to want to choose ‘Shake off brainwashing’.
Step 2: You will be brought to the mission ‘Vegeta Unleashed’ where you will have to fight Dabura. Dabura in this fight will be very dodgy of most beam and blast type attacks. Use rushing attacks and melee to make short work of Dabura and when needing to charge ki do so at a distance, Dabura doesn’t have any long range attacks. Step 3: After defeating Dabura you will be brought to ‘Babidi’ where you will need to fight and defeat Babidi. Babidi is one of the easiest enemies to defeat but be careful of his ultimate as it will do more damage than you would assume. Spam Super and Ultimates to make quick work of Babidi. Step 4: Once Babidi is defeated you will return to the World Tournament in the mission ‘Off to the World Tournament’. Here you will fight Goku with the agreement of staying in base form and not using any special beams or ki type attacks. It will be strictly melee here to defeat Goku. Use your ki at the max to be ready with counters and vanishes to make the tides swing your way in this fight. Goku will counter a lot but it is possible to win this fight easily with the right counters. Once the fight is over you will be brought to the ‘Number One Spot’ node. This node is a dialogue node and only offers a cutscene. Once the cutscene is over you will have finished this side path and obtained this trophy. |
||
I’m Not a Kid Anymore! Completed Gohan’s Saga. |
||
Automatic story trophy in Episode Battle mode. Unlocks after Gohan’s Saga > Chapter 7 > Universe Survival Arc. Completing the optional sub-chapters isn’t needed for this trophy.
The Strongest Warrior Completed the “The Strongest Warrior” chapter of Gohan’s Saga. |
||
Step 1: Start Gohan’s Saga Chapter 5 ‘Defend Earth from the Frieza Force!’ on Normal Mode. You will need to defeat the Frieza Soldier and Frieza completing the alternate objective ‘Put up a good fight against Frieza’. To do this you need to take as little damage as possible and defeat Frieza before Gohan notes that his power is that low because he has lacked training.
Step 2: The cutscene after showing Frieza saying that you put up a better fight than he thought you would, you have completed the alternate objective and have been brought to the mission ‘Goku’s Son’ where you will need to defeat Frieza. There are no alternate objectives so keep attacking until Frieza transforms. Step 3: Defeating Frieza will bring you to ‘Frieza’s Determination’ where you will need to defeat Golden Frieza. Doing so will bring you to the dialogue node called Gohan’s Growth where it explains the events to come. Step 4: After the dialogue you will be brought to ‘A Reunion, and a New Enemy!’ where you will be introduced to Gohan Black and will need to reduce his health. Gohan Black has a very similar move pool to Goku Black and isn’t that difficult to dispatch. Step 5: Once you bring his health low enough you will be brought to the mission ‘Gohan Black’s True Identity’. This fight you will have to fight Zamasu and just survive the battle. Zamasu will counter many of your attacks and dodge a lot of ki blasts and beams. Keep maneuvering around and waste time until the fight ends. Step 6: You will then be brought to a dialogue on the node ‘Mastering the Evil Containment Wave’. Once that dialogue is done you will be brought to ‘Gohan Black and Gohan’ where you’ll need to once again reduce Gohan Black’s health. The fight will play out exactly like your first encounter with him. Once you get his health low enough it will trigger the next mission ‘The Future Entrusted’. Step 7: In ‘The Future Entrusted’ you will need to reduce Fused Zamasu’s health similarly to how you have been fighting Gohan Black. Fused Zamasu looks a little different but still fights like Fused Zamasu here. Step 8: Once defeated Zamasu will corrupt and bring you to ‘The Strongest Warrior’. For this last node you need to just defeat Fused Zamasu with the help of Trunks. There is no special requirement for finishing the fight, just defeat Zamasu one last time to finish this story arc and obtain this trophy. |
||
Sorry to Keep You Waiting… Completed Piccolo’s Saga. |
||
Automatic story trophy in Episode Battle mode. Unlocks after Piccolo’s Saga > Chapter 3 > Android/Cell Arc. Completing the optional sub-chapters isn’t needed for this trophy.
A Mentor’s Guidance Completed the “A Mentor’s Guidance” chapter of Piccolo’s Saga. |
||
Step 1: Start Piccolo’s Saga Chapter 3 ‘Faint Unease’ on Normal Mode. Before any fighting starts you will be presented with a choice to continue observing the battle or to help out Goku, choose ‘Help Out Goku’.
Step 2: Once you have engaged in helping out Goku you will need to fight Android 19 in the mission ‘Rescue Goku’. There are no time constraints so take your time and watch out for 19s health and ki absorption. Step 3: Once Android 19 is taken out you’ll open the mission ‘Androids vs. Piccolo. This mission will simply get you to take down Android 18’s health to nearly nothing. She has seemingly unlimited stamina but the fight isn’t that bad. Step 4: Once 18 is defeated you will unlock ‘Goku’s Request’ which is just a dialogue node. Go through the dialogue and it will put you into the mission ‘Cell Transforms’ where you will need to fight Cell. Cell isn’t too difficult here and doesn’t need to be taken out quickly. Take your time and dispatch Cell. Step 5: After taking care of Cell you will unlock ‘Training with Gohan’ where you will be given the option to train Gohan’s Body or mind. For the purposes of this trophy you will want to train his body. After selecting this option you will need to fight Gohan. Defeat him to finish his training and progress this arc. Step 6: Once you finish training with Gohan you will unlock ‘To the Cell Games Stage’. Here you will need to fight Perfect Cell. This one is a bit more difficult but isn’t bad if you spam supers. Cell will counter most melee attacks you throw at him so keep distance and block and dodge all supers he throws your way. There isn’t a time limit and you don’t need to reduce Cell’s health to 0 here, just low enough to trigger the next mission. Step 7: Once Cell’s health is low enough you will be brought to the next and final mission ‘A Mentor’s Guidance’ where you will need to fight Super Perfect Cell. Cell will spam super attacks at you throughout most of the fight and will counter any melee attacks you try to throw at him. Keep your distance and dodge his super attacks and respond with your own. Once you take Cell’s health down to 0 you will complete this arc and obtain this trophy. |
||
Mortal or God, I Won’t Lose! Completed Future Trunks’s Saga. |
||
The Future Trunks’s Saga does not become available until you have completed the Future Trunks Arc in Goku’s Saga.
Automatic story trophy in Episode Battle mode. Unlocks after Future Trunks’s Saga > Chapter 6 > Future Trunks Arc. Completing the optional sub-chapters isn’t needed for this trophy. |
||
Shining Hope Completed the “Shining Hope” chapter of Future Trunks’s Saga. |
||
Step 1: Start Future Trunks’s Saga Chapter 6 ‘Twisted World’ on Normal. You will need to use Trunks to defeat Goku Black and Zamasu but you will need to defeat Zamasu quickly. The timer for this one is really tight with how much Zamasu avoids attacks. If Trunks tells Vegeta he wants him to take Goku and get back to their timeline you did it fast enough.
Step 2: You will be brought to a fight against Zamasu as Trunks in the missions ‘Settling the Score with Zamasu!’. Here you simply need to defeat Zamasu. It’s a much easier match than the last one and you only have to focus on the one opponent this time. Step 3: Once defeating Zamasu you will be required to defeat Goku Black as Trunks in the mission ‘Save the Future, Trunks!’. This fight is harder than Zamasu but isn’t as difficult as the mission unlocking this side path. Once you defeat Goku Black you will have finished this side path and receive this trophy. |
||
Inherited Pride Completed the “Inherited Pride” chapter of Future Trunks’s Saga. |
||
Step 1: Start the mission ‘Trunks’s Choice’ where you are given a choice between staying in the Main Timeline or going back to the Alternate Timeline. Select ‘Stay here and Train’.
Step 2: You will be brought to the mission “To Become Strongest in the Universe…” where you will need to defeat Vegeta, Piccolo and Gohan on Normal difficulty. You will need to get all 3 of them each to about half health to complete this fight but to complete the mission and be able to move on you will need to do this whole fight in under 3 minutes. If you hear Trunks say ‘Thanks for training with me, you have no idea what this means for me’ you did not complete the fight fast enough. If you hear Gohan say ‘That was awesome, Trunks… Sorry I couldn’t give you a better run for your money’ you completed the match fast enough. Step 3: Make your way through the dialogue mission ‘Trunks’s Plea’ to the mission ‘Father or Teamwork?’ where you will need to make a decision wether to fight with Gohan or Vegeta. For this trophy you are going to need to select ‘Follow Vegeta’. Doing so will put you into a fight right away with Cabba. Step 4: Upon defeating Cabba you will be brough right into the fight against Legendary Super Saiyan Kale and Caulifla using Trunks and Vegeta in the mission ‘Vegeta’s Promise’. This one isn’t easy but it isn’t the hardest fight, just keep an eye on Kale as she is way more aggressive and hits much harder. Step 5: Upon defeating the duo of lady Saiyans you will have to fight against the God of Destruction Toppo in the mission ‘Surpass god, Trunks!’. This is a fight you are going to want to take at range because Toppo will gain ki way faster than you will so he will have more breaks available. Use your supers to take him out while defending against his rushing attacks. Step 6: Once Toppo is defeated you will go to the dialogue mission ‘Inherited Pride’ where you will see a cutscene and receive this trophy for completing this side path. |
||
Embarking toward Tomorrow Completed the “Embarking toward Tomorrow” chapter of Future Trunks’s Saga. |
||
For this trophy you are going to need to select ‘Go with Gohan’. Step 4: You will be brought to a fight against Legendary Super Saiyan Kale in the mission ‘Unstoppable Power’. Kale is alone for this fight and doesn’t put up a difficult fight. Take her out and head into the next fight. Step 5: In this fight you will have to take out Dyspo and Toppo with the help of Androids 17 and 18 in the mission ‘Trustworthy Companions’. Dyspo is the more difficult one to fight as he is way faster than Toppo and can dodge attacks from a distance easily and does a good job against Melee. Step 6: Once you defeat the two Pride Troopers you will have to fight Full Power Jiren as Trunks and Android 17 in the mission ‘Rage Takes Aim’. Full Power Jiren has higher defenses and hits really hard so spam supers and ultimate attacks to take home the victory in this fight. Step 7: Once Jiren is defeated you will move on to the dialogue node ‘Embarking toward Tomorrow’ showing the end of the Tournament of Power with Trunks as a member. Once the cutscene is over you will receive this trophy. |
||
The Atrocious Emperor Completed Frieza’s Saga. |
||
Automatic story trophy in Episode Battle mode. Unlocks after Goku Black’s Saga > Chapter 6 > Future Trunks Arc. Completing the optional sub-chapters isn’t needed for this trophy.
Frieza Force Joins the Fray Completed the “Frieza Force Joins the Fray” chapter of Frieza’s Saga. |
||
Step 1: Start Frieza’s Saga Chapter 5 ‘Frieza Revived’ on Normal Difficulty. You will need to defeat both Super Saiyan God Goku and Vegeta really fast. Overcharging and Spamming + and Death Beams can do big damage fast but can cost you a lot of time if the opponent blocks a lot. If you defeat them fast enough a new Cutscene will show that has both Goku and Vegeta lying on the ground.
Step 2: Proceed into the next mission ‘Frieza’s Philosophy’ where Beerus will ask you who you want to revive for your team. Select Cooler and you will be taken to the ‘Brothers Fight Together’ stage where you will take on Hit of the 6th Universe. Defeat Hit using Frieza and Cooler to claim victory here. Step 3: Reload ‘Frieza’s Philosophy’ where Beerus will ask you who you want to revive for your team. Select King Cold this time and you will be taken to the mission ‘Parent-Child Tournament of Power’. Use Frieza and King Cold to take on both Caulifla and Kale. King Cold being defeated in this fight will not lose you the fight as it becomes a requirement once Kale tags in. Once you defeat the duo you will be brought to the mission ‘Saiyans from Universe 6’ where you will need to defeat Kale this time. Once you defeat Kale this branch of the path will be complete. Step 4: Reload ‘Frieza’s Philosophy’ where Beerus will ask you who you want to revive for your team. Select ‘The Ginyu Force’ and you will be brought to the mission ‘Frieza and his Special Squad’ where you will need to defeat Ribrianne using Frieza. Take your time as Ribrianne will be bouncing around a lot but once defeated you will be brought to the next mission ‘Dangerous Foe’ where you will need to defeat Toppo. Be careful as partway through the fight Toppo will transform into God of Destruction Toppo and be able to hit really hard even on Easy Mode. Once defeated this branch of the path will be complete. Step 5: Reload ‘Frieza’s Philosophy’ where Beerus will ask you who you want to revive for your team. Select ‘Dodoria and Zarbon’ for the final selection and you will be brought to the mission ‘Frieza Challenged’ where you will need to defeat Bergamo, Kakunsa, and Frost using Frieza. These three will hop around a lot and won’t stay still very long so guard where needed and take your time with attacks. The fights will be consecutive and they will not tag in other fighters so learn each one’s patterns and take them out one after the other to complete this branch of the path. Once you have completed all 4 branches of this side path in any order and on any difficulty you will unlock this trophy. |
||
Zero Mortal Plan Completed Goku Black’s Saga. |
||
Automatic story trophy in Episode Battle mode. Unlocks after Frieza’s Saga > Chapter 7 > Universe Survival Arc. Completing the optional sub-chapters isn’t needed for this trophy.
Proof of Justice Completed the “Proof of Justice” chapter of Goku Black’s Saga. |
||
Step 1: Start Goku Black’s Saga Chapter 6 ‘Act Three Begins’ on Normal Difficulty. On this mission you will need to fight both SSGSS Vegeta and Goku as Rosé one after the other. The Condition you must meet to unlock the side story is to defeat the enemies quickly. Don’t worry so much about Vegeta as he is the easier opponent but you want to have him nearly defeated when Rosé starts talking about how he is enraged by the Saiyans. Once Vegeta is defeated you will have to fight Goku, this is when the timer really starts. You will only have about 2 minutes to defeat him. If you get to the part where Rosé starts saying how he sensed Goku’s energy disappear and then it appeared again but is faint it is too late and you took too long to defeat him. If you defeat him before this Rosé will say ‘This feels like an omen… We were barely separated. What went wrong?”, that’s how you know you branched off successfully.
Step 2: You will be brought to the stage ‘Danger Posed by Zamasu’ where you will need to defeat both Trunks and Vegeta. There is no timer here and can be done on any difficulty. Once both have been defeated you will need to change the difficulty for the next fight. Step 3: After defeating the Father/Son duo you will unlock ‘Their Choice’. This fight will need to be completed on Normal. If you try it on Easy Rosé and Zamasu will automatically fuse. On normal you can just play out the fight without tagging in Zamasu or fusing with him. Simply defeat both Vegito and/or Trunks without actually fusing and you will unlock the side path. Step 4: Once the last side mission ‘Proof of Justice’ is unlocked you can switch it back to easy if you want but all you need to do is defeat Goku and SSGSS Vegeta. Once the duo has been defeated you will have completed this side path and achieved this trophy. |
||
Strength Is Justice Completed Jiren’s Saga. |
||
Jiren’s Saga is unlocked after completing Goku’s Saga (finish Chapter 7, Universe Survival Arc).
The trophy unlocks after Jiren’s Saga > Chapter 7 > Universe Survival Arc. Completing the optional sub-chapters isn’t needed for this trophy. |
||
True Strength Completed the “True Strength” chapter of Jiren’s Saga. |
||
Step 1: Start the dialogue mission ‘Saiyan Rampage’ where you will have the option to either interrupt or wait and see what happens. For this path choose ‘Wait and See’.
Step 2: You will have to take on Universe 7’s Android 17, Android 18 and Goku as Jiren in the fight ‘Warriors from Universe 7’. You won’t take as much damage from opponents and will deal more as Jiren so this fight shouldn’t be an issue. Step 3: Once defeating the androids and Goku you will have to fight Ultra Insticnt -Sign- Goku and Hit as Jiren in the mission ‘Saiyans Awaken’. Goku will dodge a lot of melee but not as much with ki so stick to supers and only melee when needed. Step 4: Next is the mission ‘Goku’s Mentor’ where you will need to fight Master Roshi as Jiren. This isn’t even Full Power Master Roshi so this fight shouldn’t be an issue at all for you. Step 5: Once Master Roshi is beaten you’ll be brought to the mission ‘The Defeated’ where you will fight Android 17, Frieza, Vegeta and Goku as Jiren. Defeating the four opponents will take some effort as you aren’t completely indestructible. You can lower the difficulty if needed as this is a more difficult fight. Once defeated you will have to defeat Ultra Instinct -Sign- Goku. Your health will have refilled so this isn’t that hard of a fight but be warned, at nearly defeated Goku will transform into mastered Ultra Instinct Goku. This is where the fight gets the most difficult. Keep an eye on your health and try not to end up in a flurry of attacks from Goku as he can combo a lot. Step 6: Once that mission is defeated you will be moved on to ‘Ultimate Climactic Battle’ where you will need to fight Frieza Android 17 and Goku. This mission is on the main path but you will need to do this fight on Normal. While fighting this fight on Normal you will need to defeat all three opponents before the match ends on its own. When you go Full Power Jiren you only have a few minutes to defeat the remaining opponent(s) to complete the fight with an alternate ending. Once you win the fight you will be brought to the dialogue mission ‘True Strength’ and receive this trophy. |

The All-Knowing Complete 21 Sagas in Episode Battle |
||
For this trophy you will need to beat all of the trophy based main and side paths of all the Episode Battles. Each one has a trophy but here are the nodes you need to complete:
|
||
Dream Battle Completed 30 Bonus Battles. |
||
To unlock all Bonus Battles, you must finish the available Bonus Battles and play through the story Episodes. They can be started at Episode & Custom > Custom Battle > Bonus Battles.
List of Battles and how to complete them:
|
||
Come forth, Shenron! Summoned Shenron and had a wish granted. |
||
First, you must unlock 7 Dragon Balls. Go to Challenges & Missions > Whis’s Stamp Book. Here you will see some challenges with a Shenron icon on them (green dragon icon). Complete these mini tasks. They are basic things like completing 5 tutorials from the battle training.
After you completed the 7 challenges, return to this menu and click on the challenges to redeem the gift. Now switch to Zen-Oh’s Orders menu and redeem the gifts there too to unlock the Dragon Balls. Basically, each of the Shenron challenges in Whis’s Stamp Book unlocks a Gift in Zen-Oh’s Orders which then gives the Dragon Balls. Then go to the “Come Forth” Menu and choose “Summon Shenron”. Select any of the wishes and the trophy will unlock. It doesn’t matter which wish you select. If you have the Ultimate Edition you get a free summon of Shenron from the start. You can always gain more Dragon Balls by playing the mode Battle & Training > Battle > Offline > P1 vs. CPU. Win any 1 vs. 1 battles, it doesn’t matter what map you pick and what characters. They are entirely random match rewards, roughly 10% drop rate as a reward after the match (1 Dragon Ball every 10 wins). |
||
Come forth, Porunga! Summoned Porunga and had a wish granted. |
||
To summon Porunga you need 7 Namekian Dragon Balls. These are completely random match rewards in P1 vs. CPU Offline Battle.
Then you can choose all 3 wishes to unlock the trophy. |
||
Come forth, Super Shenron! Summoned Super Shenron and had a wish granted. |
||
First you must beat Goku’s Saga (Episodes Story), at the end of it you get all 7 Super Shenron Dragon Balls. This is an automatic story reward, can’t miss it.
Then go to the “Come Forth” Menu and choose “Summon Super Shenron”. Select any of the wishes and the trophy will unlock. It doesn’t matter which wish you select. If you have the Ultimate Edition you get a free summon of Super Shenron from the start. You can get even more Super Shenron Dragon Balls by playing through the optional sub-chapters in Episode Battles. The ones that involve the Tournament of Power in episode battles will give them, for example in Jiren’s sub-chapter. |
||
Rookie Warrior Reached Player Level 5. |
||
See below trophy Seasoned Warrior.
Seasoned Warrior Reached Player Level 20. |
||
You will reach Level 20 automatically while working through the other trophies so don’t worry about this. You reach around level 17 by playing through each episode and doing one of each tournament. The remaining levels will come while doing the optional episode side paths. You can also wish for Level-Ups at Shenron but this is not mandatory.
Zenionnaire Earned a total of 1,000,000 Zeni. |
||
1 Million Zeni (money) sounds like a lot but you’ll get more than enough by playing through a single character’s episodes (story mode). Winning tournaments also gives 160,000 each, and wishing for Zeni from Shenron gives 300,000.
Just play through episodes and you’ll get this automatically. |
||
Big Spender Spent a total of 1,000,000 Zeni. |
||
See above trophy Zenionnaire.
After getting enough Zeni (money), go to the shop and spend it all. For trophy purposes it’s best to spend it on 40 Characters & 50 Ability Items. |
||
A Little Something Obtained 10 different Ability Items. |
||
See below trophy Ready for Anything.
Ready for Anything Obtained 50 different Ability Items. |
||
Ability Items can be bought from the shop. There are over 90 of them but you only need 50. As your player level increases, more of them will become available in the shop. By the time you played through each Episode Battle you will have enough money and access to more than enough Ability Items. Buy the cheapest ones first. You can also back up your save to PS+ cloud before, then copy it back after buying the ability items to get your money back.
You can also unlock some ability items for free from Episode Battles and Bonus Battles. You can check the progress via the tracker in the trophy list. |
||
New Challengers Unlocked 10 characters. (Excludes add-on characters) |
||
See below trophy A Gathering of Rivals.
A Gathering of Rivals Unlocked 40 characters. (Excludes add-on characters) |
||
Characters can be bought from the shop. Each one you buy also unlocks all of that characters sub-variants. Because of this, one single purchased character can count as 3 or more.
As your player level increases, more of them will become available in the shop. All characters are available at Player Level 20 (which is when Goku Black & Fused Zamasu unlock). By the time you played through each Episode Battle you will already have enough money and access to more than enough Characters. Buy the cheapest ones first. You can also back up your save to PS+ cloud before, then copy it back after buying the characters to get your money back. You can also unlock some characters for free from Episode Battles, Bonus Battles, and Tournaments. You can check the progress via the tracker in the trophy list. |
||
Showing Off Completely edited a Player Card. |
||
Go to Shop & Customize > Player Card > Change Settings > Change all 7 Settings: Favorite Character, Edit Title (Icon/Text), Play Time, Favorite Mode, Favorite BGM, Favorite Song, Select Background.
On “Edit Title” you must press to switch from the Icons to the Title select! This is easy to overlook. If you haven’t unlocked any Icons or Titles yet, you must complete Zen-Oh’s Orders (Challenges & Missions menu). If you haven’t unlocked Backgrounds yet you can buy them in the Shop under “Player Cards”. |
||
Rookie Title Collector Earned a title. |
||
See below trophy Title Collector.
Title Collector Earned 100 titles. |
||
For this you must unlock any 100 Icon Titles and/or Text Titles. Both categories count towards this trophy. You can check the progress via the tracker in the trophy list, or via My Data > Records > Titles.
To unlock Titles, go to Challenges & Missions > Zen-Oh’s Orders. Here you will see little tasks that will automatically complete while playing. They are basic things like playing a match as a specific character or performing basic combat moves. From Zen-Oh’s Orders collect the gifts, many of them grant you titles. This is basically an automatic story-related trophy. After playing through all Episodes and working through the other trophies you will automatically have completed more than enough challenges for 100 titles. Then simply accept the gifts to pop the trophy. Don’t even worry about this, there are hundreds of challenges and you only need a small fraction of them, you will finish way more than 100 without even knowing what they are. |

I have a problem with the Sparking Route of Vegeta, the Number One Spot. When i choose the chapter in Which Babidi try to control Vegeta, the game don’t give me the possibility to select the option to do not be possessed. The selection simply doesn’t appear and I’m stuck with the canon route. Anyone have this problem and know if it’s a bug or if there is some way to solve that?
Thank you.
andrea says
Hi, I’m having the exact same problem too, I really don’t know how to do it so it’s unplatinable
goku says
The previous battle against Trunks can’t take too much damage, so as to unlock the dialogue option.
StunnaPlatinums says
I found a way to get past this, you gotta go to the previous fight with Trunks and I believe not get hit once, that’s what worked for me. Although i’m not sure the threshold of the damage you can take. When I went back to the Babadi mind control sequence I was able to resist the brainwashing. Hope this helped you!
Pontos says
Thank you, I did it with yours suggestions. It’s not necessary to not take a single hit from Trunks i took some attack but was still in my first health bar and the game let me make the choice in the next chapter. However the game is very confusing about conditions sometimes.
FailSkillzZz says
You have to play the fight against Trunks on normal difficulty beforehand, then you get the option to choose
door says
Trunks’s Step 2,I even counted the time with a stopwatch, but found that even if I finished it for more than two minutes, I still couldn’t unlock the next route. It was too difficult.
andrea says
but in fact the trunks of the future one is too difficult. I also got a dragon orb which consists in completing the episode more easily but it doesn’t even let me use them, bug?
M says
the drgaon orbs are working, im using them for all os the sparking episodes trophys but im back up saving before i use them
ImAPirateSoSueMe says
Deluxe/Ultimate only get a free Shenron summon, NOT Super Shenron.
PowerPyx says
For me there was a free Super Shenron + Regular Shenron summon from the start.
Screenshot from first game bootup where it unlocks Super Shenron summon for free (PS5):
Edit: it’s specifically Ultimate Edition only that gives this (not Deluxe). Updated it in the relevant trophies.
Dgr1zzle says
Yeah I certainly got both regular and super Shenron.
saiyansenshi says
nope u get both!!!
J says
I got super shenron
Dgr1zzle says
Let me understand this correctly. Once I play the story mission that can branch off in Normal, once I beat the mission and branch off I can go back to easy afterwards?
PowerPyx says
Yes that’s correct.
Marcelp Junior says
I am having a problem with the trophy I can never get enough.
I have finished the goku saga.
Is there a condition to defeat Jiren?
I defeated him within the time to unlock the goku, the worlds strongest warrior but still no trophy.
All other trophies are poping normally. I am probably doing something wrong.
Marcelp Junior says
I found what the error was. I tried a lot the same fight and after looking into YouTube videos I finally realized I had to drag the fight to achieve the cannon ending… so if you beat Jiren too fast you will not unlock the trophy.
Chaos says
Difficulty should be higher! Some of the fights that require normal mode are pretty hard due to time limits
2gfa says
Thank you! Specially due to the AI having virtually perfect dodges, vanishes, etc and a lot of the latter “What if” episodes have astonishingly painful timers.
If the author is a fighter games avid should be specified on the guide.
mimkyu7777777 says
I have a tip for porunga. Buy latent power unleashed 2 in shop equip it to broly (super) super saiyan full power .might work with any character but he’s the one i used. then go to battle pick world stage then change the rules to weak opponent . and turn on out of bound rules. as soon as the match starts use gigantic cannon. it knocks then out of bounds almost every time. fights last like 5 seconds.done it 30 times so far and almost always knocks them out and when they dodge they usually go out of bounds anyway.
Almudena says
Hi, Do online player games (Battle & Training > Battle > Online > Player Match > Create Room )count in Connected Rivals ? In my play app it says that I am 23%, that is, 23 games. But on psnprofiles it says 4/100. I suppose the web is wong.
FrostyPanda says
Number One Spot
Completed the “Number One Spot” chapter of Vegeta’s Saga.
To get the dialogue option you need to beat trunks fast enough in the previous node.
You know you get it because he says he’ll take him to the amusement park and he needs to keep helping him with training.
Wulf5678 says
The fight with Black Goku vs Vegeta and Goku is just bs.
The timelimit is a joke.
You miss one combo and the time messed up.
I hate timelimits with all my heart.
M says
NOTE: If you are using Dragon Orbs for trophies, DO NOT back up save because they will not count for the All knowing trophy if you decide to redownload save.
Reason why i say this, i backed up my save after using the dragon orbs to get all of trunks trophies and none of it counted for the all knowing trophy which required me to redo those episodes which then counted towards the trophy
F_star1 says
