Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero features 3 Special Finishers at the time of the game’s launch. Performing them 20 times unlocks A Flair for Fighting trophy & achievement, but it counts if you perform the same one 20 times in a row.
The “Special Finishers” refer to the “Special Finisher Missions” found at Challenges & Missions > Whis’s Stamp Book. You can scroll over the Finisher Mission and press the Menu-Button to view the details. All you need to do is land the final hit with a specific character’s Ultimate Blast.
All Special Finishers
The 3 characters that have Special Finishers are:
- Special Finisher Mission 1 = Use “Goku (Z – Mid) Super Saiyan” Ultimate Blast “Angry Kamehameha” to finish the battle.
- Special Finisher Mission 2 = Use “Master Roshi” Ultimate Blast “Evil Containment” to finish the battle.
- Special Finisher Mission 3 = Use “Goku (Z – End) Super Saiyan 3” Ultimate Blast “Dragon Fist” to finish the battle.
How to Activate Special Finishers
To activate the Special Finishers go to Battle & Training > Battle > Offline > P1 vs. CPU. Play as the required character. What stage and opponent you pick doesn’t matter. Now bring the opponent to the last health bar, enter Sparking Mode by holding R2/RT to overcharge Ki (must have 1 skill point in top left corner), then press R2 + Circle / RT + B to trigger the Ultimate Blast. If you perform it on the final hit to defeat the opponent, it will trigger a special animation screen at the end. The finisher is the same as if you perform it mid-match, the only difference being that you get the win-pose afterward.
You can farm these by repeating the same one 20 times. Rematch the opponent and repeat the same Special Finisher until you get the trophy. Sometimes if the opponent has 1.5 health bars left it won’t trigger correctly if the Ultimate Blast just barely defeats the opponent. If you bring the opponent to the last health bar it will trigger consistently.
The game might add more Special Finishes through future updates and DLC so scroll through Whis’s Stamp Book in case more get added.
