Pickpocket’s Delight is a contract in Mission 3 of Dishonored Death of the Outsider.
Pickpocket’s Delight Walkthrough
In the plaza outside the Delores Michael’s Bank, you’ll find the marker for the target guard. He is usually hanging out in the guard house just inside the plaza entrance. It’s important that you don’t try to knock the guard out or kill him and loot him, either event would cause the contract to fail. You will have to pickpocket them. What’s equally important is that you can’t kill or knock out the guard after getting the note either. That will cause the contract to fail retroactively. You will have to leave that guard up and mobile until the end of the mission in order to get credit for this contract.

I’m unable to complete this contract as it fails even before I approach the area with the guard who needs to be pickpocketed. I’ve tried using semblance on a guard in the area above the black market and then going over to pickpocket guard, but the dogs snuff me out immediately and the contract fails. Also, it appears that taking out any red guard in the area, even if they don’t see you, immediately fails the contract. Really frustrating.
Restarting the mission solved the issue but I lost all my progress :(. Very annoying contract.
This mission auto-failed on me because there were a thousand bloodflies that killed him before I could even see him. The day before, I killed all the bloodflies in the nearby basement, but on mission 3, the basement was flooded with bloodflies.
I restarted the mission and that fixed the bloodfly infestation .
