Introduction
Welcome to the Destroy All Humans Trophy Guide (2020 PS4 Remake)! This is a faithful remake of the 2005 game of the same name, including the same story missions, structure, and largely the same extra content. This 2020 PS4 release of Destroy All Humans is not to be confused with the 2016 PS4 release of “Destroy All Humans!” (that old release was a simple PS2 Port). This full 2020 PS4 Remake features a new set of trophies. The best way to approach Platinum is to finish the story while doing optional objectives, then do all Challenges, lastly finish up any Miscellaneous trophies. You will find that about 90% of the combat-related trophies unlock naturally without trying or knowing what they are. Just enjoy the game and worry about trophies after the story.
Step 1: Complete the Main Missions While Attempting to Complete Optional Objectives
First step is to just play through all story missions while attempting to complete all optional objectives as you go so that you don’t need to replay missions later. None are too difficult to complete first run through a level, especially if you look up a solution for some of the more vague requirements beforehand. Follow the Destroy All Humans Optional Objectives Guide for the solutions. The mission also does need to be completed fully for each objective to count, which is another reason to try and do them all first go through each mission. If you failed an optional objective, you can replay the mission in your mothership by clicking on “Archives” > “Holopox Deck”.
In terms of upgrades, it’s recommended to fully upgrade the abilities in this order: Shields of Crypto & the Saucer (makes Optional Objectives easier), Crypto’s Zap-o-Matic (most used weapon with infinite ammo, frequently used in challenges), Ion Detonator (strongest weapon, frequently used in challenges for explosive kills), Psychokinesis (the last upgrade lets you lift vehicles which helps with challenges), Dash (only the bottom row that allows you to skate, important for Racing Challenges). The rest isn’t as important and can be neglected for now.
Step 2: Ace all Challenges (3 Stars)
After the story is finished you will have a large amount of DNA for upgrades, along with having all areas available to free roam. If you have not already you should now start working on the 4 challenges in each of the 6 free roam areas, getting 3 stars on each. It’s 24 Challenges total. Getting 3 Stars in all of them unlocks the Ace of Space trophy.
See Destroy All Humans Challenges Guide.
Step 3: Cleanup Miscellaneous Trophies and Objectives
After acing all challenges, the only thing you should have left is cleaning up remaining miscellaneous trophies, and finishing any remaining optional objectives in missions. Refer to the trophy guide below, all miscellaneous trophies are super quick to do.

OUTLAWZB6 says
Great Guide as Usual Pyx. Why a 4/10 though? Is it because of the challenges? If so, how difficult are they? It’s my first time playing this game. Thanks!
PowerPyx says
It’s a 4/10 because of some of the challenges and optional objectives and also the last bosses.
It’s nothing too challenging with a guide – most of it is quite easy, just a few things here and there that will take some trial and error 🙂
I found it to be a fun platinum with a good mix of everything.
Bukleaf says
Any idea why it’s not available on psn?
Michael Pesak says
It is now

Thank you for the trophy guide.
Sean says
No probe hunting this time around? Nice 🙂 saw the one behind the barn and thought it’d be another hunt. Thanks for the guide
Michael Pesak says
Too bad the game doesn’t retain the cheats like the original game did. That would have been cool
Kyle says
The Mandatory Options is glitched for me. Got them all but the trophy never popped. Anyone got any idea?
Aaron says
I’ve seen it’s the 1.05 patch has made this trophy bugged. Hoping for a fix soon.
Lmaryfans says
Same here. I’m not sure what the issue is.
Aaron says
Seems the 1.06 patch that just dropped today fixes this bug.
Joni Järvinen says
I think that 4/10 difficulty is too low. Some of challenges are impossible and needs you to be perfect
Gamer Felix says
Exactly what I was thinking, the side missions that requiered you to Ace them, you do have to be perfect to score for the 3 star. Especially in Abduction, and the last race in Capitol. Should be at least 6/10 difficulty, too much trial and error to be 4/10. 5/10, should be average.
