In Destiny 2 Clans can be leveled up to earn rewards. This Destiny 2 Guide will show you everything there is to know about Clans, How to Create & Join a Clan, How to level up the Clan and what rewards you can earn from it.
Creating a Clan
Just like in Destiny 1, you have to create the clan on the official Bungie Website. You can nominate different friends to be administrators or just regular members in your group. If you want to create a big public clan where the main objective is to grind out XP, or just a private clan with 6-10 of your best buddies, is completely up to you. However, you want to consider the fact that there are benefits in leveling up your clan and that it’s limited to a weekly progression bar. So being a small and relatively inactive clan will put you at a disadvantage compared to bigger clans.
Weekly Clan Level
You can level up your clan once per week by earning XP from strikes, events, quests, crucible matches, raids and nightfalls. Every member in your clan can earn up to 5000 XP a week, per character. You can only earn clan XP by playing in a fireteam that is at least 50% made up from clan members. So you need to have 2 clan members in a 3 man fireteam, at least 2 clan members in a 4 man fireteam, and so on.
The weekly clan XP requirement will increase every time the clan reaches a new level. For level 1 it is 100.000 XP and for level 2 it will be 125.000 XP.
Weekly Clan Engrams and Clan Milestones
You will be awarded with a luminous planetary engram for every action your clan completes in a week. The 4 different actions that reward such an engram are: 1 crucible win, 1 completed Nightfall, 1 completed Raid and a Trials of the Nine completion. Only one of your clan members has to complete the action, as it will count for all other clan members automatically. You have to be in a clan fireteam when completing the objective though. Furthermore you get a weekly clan milestone that will reward you with yet another powerful engram.
