It Came From Monarch Studios is a Side Quest in Dead Island 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the It Came From Monarch Studios side mission.
Starting Location: Venice Beach
Counts Towards Quest Completion in Region: Beverly Hills
Quest Giver: Sarah Sheppard
Requirement: Having Finished Main Quest #15: The Giant Slayer
Reward: 3,000 XP, Zombie Axe x1
Mission Info: A woman calling for help on the radio is at Monarch Studios and has lost contact with friend, Sebastian. You agreed to meet her there and help with the search. Oddly, there was also some strange beeping interrupting the call.
Objectives:
- Beam down to Monarch Studios
- Scan the gas station set for signs of life
- Hostile infestation! Kill ’em all!
- Tell Sarah Sheppard that you come in peace
- Take DD-09 and explore Sound Stage 3 for signs of Sebastian
- Red alert! DD09 has spooked the zombies!
- Take DD-09 along on your continuing mission to find Sebastian
- Reunite DD-09 with Sebastian
- Defend Sebastian from the invading “body snatchers”
- Return DD-09 to Sebastian
- Hail Sebastian on all frequencies
Starting Location: It Came From Monarch Studios
Interact with the radio in Venice Beach HQ to start this quest.
Beam down to Monarch Studios
To the left of the radio is a Fast Travel map. This is the first time you will use this and will take you straight to where the next objective will be. Interact with the map and select Monarch Studios to fast travel to.
Scan the gas station set for signs of life
Once you arrive at the station, proceed forward through a couple of areas until you reach the area where you need to kill a group of zombies.
Hostile infestation! Kill ’em all!
Kill all the zombies in this area.
Tell Sarah Sheppard that you come in peace
Speak with Sarah Sheppard who is the quest giver, listen to her dialogue and follow the next objective.
Take DD-09 and explore Sound Stage 3 for signs of Sebastian
Pick up DD-09 from the ground next to you and proceed to take it to Sound Stage 3. Walk around the back of the trailer Sarah was atop of. Go through the open gate and head towards the large building labeled Stage 03.
Red alert! DD09 has spooked the zombies!
Once you enter the building with DD-09 the sounds will spook zombies and you will have to kill all zombies in this area, until DD-09 calms down and you can move on.
Take DD-09 along on your continuing mission to find Sebastian
Follow the objective marker and head outside of the building, continuing around the area, tackling any zombies you come across along the way. Remember you can drop DD-09 by pressing 
so you can fend off oncoming zombies. Eventually you will hear Sebastian call out and you will be given a new objective.
Reunite DD-09 with Sebastian
Head towards Sebastian with DD-09 and listen to Sebastian’s dialogue.
Defend Sebastian from the invading “body snatchers”
Now you will have to clear the area of zombies. There will be quite a few in hear, so use your Fury, environment hazards and other means necessary to kill all the zombies.
Return DD-09 to Sebastian
Place DD-09 on the table highlighted next to Sebastian.
Hail Sebastian on all frequencies
Talk to Sebastian after dropping DD-09 off, listen to his dialogue and then once complete, the quest will finish and you will be rewarded.
