In Days Gone you can refill your motorcycle’s fuel with fuel canisters and at gas stations. But what to do when your bike runs out of fuel in the middle of nowhere?
Luckily the game has an easy solution for that.
First it’s important to keep an eye on the fuel gauge (the icon next to the minimap in the bottom right corner while driving). The fuel gauge will turn from white to yellow, orange, red.
As you get lower on fuel the nearest fuel canisters will start to pop up on the minimap automatically! They are found pretty much everywhere even out in the wild. They are sitting on roads, in the back of vehicles, in buildings and various other places. One is always near you.
So when you run out of fuel simply look at the minimap for a canister icon .
Carry the Canister back to your Bike and hold to refill it to 100%. This is what a fuel canister looks like:
If you’re near a fuel station you can also try to move your bike there. Even without fuel you can move your bike by pushing the left stick up . This works great if you want to go downhill. If no fuel station is nearby then look for a fuel canister instead.
And that’s how you will always find fuel in Days Gone no matter where you run out of it.

I found a fuel symbol on my mini map and drove to it for fuel, tho when I got to the location there was no fuel there. Just a broke down cars.

I’ve had this happen a bunch of times too. It’s just buggy, the fuel sometimes disappears or falls through the ground or whatever. 95% of the time it will spawn just fine.

Why my minimap do not show fuel symbol even on low fuel(orange guage)?
PowerPyx says
It could be that no fuel can was near you. When you walk around a little it should show up, they are everywhere.

Mine won’t show up on the mini map either even when iam stood over a can of fuel

There are areas where this does not happen I got stuck in an area with huge swarms. That save file is literally broken. Had to backtrack

Only happens on easy skill.
