This list looks extremely easy. Too easy maybe? Platinums should be for completing a game. Yet we don’t even need all of the collectibles (only 75%). Everything looks like a basic tutorial thing that you’ll get along the way without giving it any thought. There would’ve been a lot of potential for a creative trophy list in an open world game like this. One gold trophy is for finishing the story, the other for maxing out Allied Trust status with every camp (side tasks).

This looks disappointingly easy but to be honest I was expecting it. From the get go this game had that vibe that it was going to be another one of those 3/10 difficulty games. Actually, the more I go through this list it might even be a 2/10. There’s nothing challenging with this platinum at all based on the list itself. I don’t think one of these trophies is going to take us by surprise and be actually challenging. This game better be great lol
Loy310 says
I dont know why it needs to be hard to plat a game. They are 94 million ps4 users out there and to be honest less than 7 million of them will buy the game and of that less than 10% will plat it.
So still an ultra rear plat, what more do you want?
Hard plats/hard games have a sales cap and only attract a certain group of players, why limit the audience after spending 6 years developing just to say “hey, ma game is hard”?
Besides, Sony know that there are plenty of games out there with those 0.1% plats that nobody completes because they are a complete waste of time outside of the campaign completion.
Raphael says
I will be getting this. Platinum trophies should not be a death sentence. Time consuming maybe but not close to impossible.
Brian says
Your absolutely right, I can’t stand some games like the last of us that has a very low percentage of getting nearly all the trophies. Rediculious. I’m tring to just add up my trophy collection and games like this and tomb raider and farcry are good games that should set a standard. Maybee about 5% of the trophy should take a challeng.
Link says
BEAUTIFUL trophy list. Reminds me of Horizon and God of War. Sony 1st party studios are making very nice trophy lists that encourage you to check everything out and put a bit of extra effort than the casual player. Sounds like a nice 30 hour fun platinum, in between grindy 80 hour plats. Don’t care about rarity to be honest but this’ll probably be in the same vein as HZD, GOW. A little bit less common than Spiderman.
F.R. says
100% agree.
Larry Hryn says
Agreed

Jason Hetterich says
Couldn’t have said it better myself!
J0HN says
No, it looks like a good list. You have to go out of your way to get it, but you (seemingly) don’t have to break your back/suffer terribly to do so. And I long for a world with no trophies for collectibles at all. Hell, remove collectibles from games entirely… Nothing less fun than going around picking up items like you were sentenced to picking up trash on the side of the road as community service.
kagsdqkduw says
lol troll.
Ash R says
I don’t mind it tbh. A little bit of variety here and there which sounds good. A straight forward game where you can enjoy it and not be hassled too much. Yes this type of game similar to HZD has the scope to be creative with it’s trophy list because of the open world aspect and how the game plays, but as we (trophy hunters) are in the minority, devs it would seem, don’t seem to bother about how the Platinum pans out.
Looking forward to the game.
Aaron Hardy says
Collectables are a pain. In an open world game with only one difficulty the hardest thing is collectables. The list looks OK. I hate games that make online a part of the platinum. Platinum should be challenging but fun.
Loxim says
I personally really like when games don’t have a roadblock trophy / achievement that prevents completion or makes it extremely difficult to obtain. This list will make me enjoy this beautiful game without worrying about some uber hard challenge. Can’t wait.
F.R. says
And that’s exactly how they should always be made.
Casanova says
I’m happy with a Platinum that you have to work towards but not be punished for trying. It should still be fun. RDR2 was an example of a terrible trophy lost because all the activities weren’t actually fun. Spider-Man was a great platinum because most of the things you had to do were fun and built the world up around you.
F.R. says
THIS!
This guy gets it. ?
F.R. says
This is a great list. I cannot begin to grasp why people (very few) want difficult trophies…. maybe it’s cuz I’m older now and prefer simple and fun over the more demanding or outride near impossible ones + it’s well known that Sony exclusives have simple and well made trophy lists (HZD, GOW4, BB, Spider-Man, etc).
Jk says
I so agree with you.
San Martin Luna says
Well I just platinum Resident Evil 2: Remake which was a pain. So if Days Gone is a easy trophy hunting list, then I welcome it. Resident Evil 2: Remake was extremely rewarding though like infinite rocket launcher. I hope Days Gone does the same. There’s is a lot of hiddens so i can only hope that a couple of them are challenging.
kiiilerke says
i don’t like that the most recent ps4 games are such easy platinums
i am gonna be really sad if the last of us part 2 is a easy platinum
Jk says
Then do it on hard, so e of Ys as mentioned above are older n not able to do wut we once could in games, but would still like to b able to play without ruining my hands. The game is awesome. And it’s greatly appreciated that the developers understand that not all of us are still young , I’ve been playing games since the commador 64 wax the only gaming n bbs was the internet. So thank you for not making it so difficult that I can’t enjoy the story n game play. One day you’ll get older n I’ll tell you playing g after so many years takes a toll on your hands.
CCleaner says
This is actually pretty good.
The people complaining about collectibles, well, there you go, you don’t need to do 100%.
And those that do like collectibles? You have the choice to go for 100%.
Also, for all you haters/”fake concerned fans” you can always go back to your precious Xbox/Nintendo. No one is forcing you to buy this game (despite the fact you punks always like to say PS indoctrinates its fanbase).
I already knew this game wasn’t going to surpass GOW, Spider-Man, TLOU, etc. but at a solid 6-7/10 it fulfills a niche market.
Jimmy says
The trophies seems easy but bend studio said you’ll be in danger all the time , enemies everywhere and even if you know the place of the collectible it will not be easy to take it because it’s full of enemies and you gotta be ready all time to survive. I think it’ll be though game.
Alastor says
Of course people like this list because it doesn’t have any hard trophies that they would need to practice for. No wonder nobody said they’re not getting this game yet because of all s ranks trophy lol
Littleprincess says
I like that trophy list, not because I am afraid of hard to get trophies but because that trophy list means I can focus on the game and enjoy the game how I want it to play not dictated by special trophies to play it in a certain way.. in storybased games like that I prefer such trophykist simple for that fact to enjoy the story without needing to think about need to do this and that for a trophy 🙂
Larry says
After just getting the plat and all DLC trophies in Nioh I’m looking forward to a nice, relaxed and fun trophy hunt.
Luc says
Glad it looks rather easy to be honest. I’m sure there will be some time consuming catch to it though.
Respect for you San Martin Luna; I’m like halfway on my first RE2 Remake S rank but quit for awhile, tried picking it up again a day ago but it’s way too hard to step into it again not starting from the start of the run :(.
Slyjakprinceico says
I definitely welcome this. DmC5 is a lot of fun, but it’s platinum is a chore to get, replaying the game 6 times at the very very least and the fact that you have to S rank every level on every difficulty. Hell and hell (1 hit death) makes this a real chore for me. I’ll be happy with this plat, though I’m sure it’ll take a while.
Later_Doober says
In my opinion the platinum should always be hard to get. That’s why it is called the Platinum. Yeah sure I do enjoy the mindless platinum trophy every now and then but other than that the platinum’s should be challenging and make you work for them. If everything was easy then everyone would have them. It’s nice seeing the percentage low when I look at all my trophies.
dernop says
From everything I’ve seen so far this game reminds me of Mad Max for some reason. Open world combat and exploration, driving around with your trusty vehicle. Spending resources to upgrade camps and gain allies. Weapon and most likely bike upgrade crafting etc
If that’s really the case, good for me i guess. I really liked mad max ;)
Ash says
I’m worried about 1 trophy! The health, stamina or focus one! If you have to upgrade one of the 3 to max, is there still room to experiment and put a few in the others or are you going have to use every single Nero shot into one! Other than that it looks okay!
Decon says
No, you get 30 nero shots and put 10 in each. Dam good game that always keeps you on your toes.
