Lines Not Crossed is a Main Story Mission in Days Gone. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the “Lines Not Crossed” Main Quest.
Objectives:
- Find a Way into the Mining Office
- Clear the Roof of Newts
- Get the Keys
- Find the Flares
- Unlock the Door
- Enter the Lucky Lad Mine
- Explore the Mine with Skizzo
- Retrieve the Lock Box Keys from the Newt
- Return to Skizzo
- Help Skizzo
Lines Not Crossed Starting Location
This mission will become available immediately after arriving with Skizzo at the Lucky Lad Mine Offices.
Get Keys & Flares
To get a hold on the Dynamite needed, we have to get some keys from the office before entering the mines. The roof is crawling with eight Newts. Clear them with melee or gunfire before heading in.
The Keys are in a locker on the top floor. Skizzo asks for some Flares for the Mines, which are found on a shelf on the ground floor.
Explore the Mine
Time to head into the mines. Skizzo will always lead the way, so don’t worry about navigating yourself too much. If you lost track of him, press to see him through walls/corners.
When, we reach a Dead End, you need to smash some barrier blocking a narrow half-finished shaft. After finding an empty crate, we keep heading onwards, but Deacon notices that there are flares on the floor in a part of the mine where they haven’t been before.
Retrieve Keys
That can only mean one thing – Newts are around!
One of the nasty little creatures will jump us within a cutscene and steal our keys.
Track the clue nearby to see where it went.
Press to see the footprints or have a look on your minimap. The Newt will jump you after a short while and you have to mash two buttons in QTE’s to get rid of it.
Help Skizzo
Once you’ve picked up the Keys, you can hear more gunfire, because Skizzo attracted a lot of Swarmers with his initial shots.
Now we need to fight well over a dozen of swarmers, who attack Skizzo in waves.
You can only use your melee weapon; firearms and explosives are unavailable in the mines.
Use the minimap to spot the next threat, if you can’t seem to find the next Freak in the rather dark area.
Use the roll as a strategic move when facing several Freaks at once.
Hit, roll, repeat.
Once you have killed the last Freak, a cutscene will play and the next mission, We’re Not Hiding, will immediately start.
