Days Gone All Ambush Camp Locations

Days Gone has 14 Ambush Camps needed for complete the Ambush Camp Hunter Questline and trophy. This guide shows all Ambush Camp Locations and also their Bunker Locations.

The goal in each Ambush Camp is to clear out all enemies in it. Then you are given a search area to find the hatch to an underground bunker. Below are instructions where to find each bunker in the camp. Clearing out the camps is best done in stealth. The Crossbow and melee takedowns are perfect for this. You can also throw rocks to distract the enemies and then do stealth takedowns.

Clearing out all Ambush Camps should be one of your first priorities. They clear the fog from the map and reveal other Collectibles in the area. You also get Crafting Recipes from them, which is needed to craft all types of Crossbow Bolts for trophy “Variety is the Spice of Life”.

None of these are missable! After the story there’s free-roam and you can go back to all regions and finish up any side activities and collectibles you have left. It’s worth noting that there are two temporary points of no return. One at the end of 3rd region “Lost Lake” and one more at the end of 5th region “Crater Lake”. This will lock you out of some regions until the end of the story. Then after the story the whole map opens up again.

Ambush Camp #1: Cascade Radio Tower

Region: Cascade

Cascade Radio Tower Bunker Location: This is completed automatically in story mission “No Starving Patriots”. The bunker is found inside the shack across from the tall tower.

Ambush Camp #2: Jefferson Rail Tunnel

Region: Cascade

Jefferson Rail Tunnel Bunker Location: You find the bunker on top of the hill where most of the enemies were. Just outside a small wooden shack.

Ambush Camp #3: Horse Creek

Region: Cascade

Horse Creek Bunker Location: You find a bunker under the high voltage power pole.

Ambush Camp #4: Black Crater

Region: Belknap

Black Crater Bunker Location: You find a bunker in the very back of the camp near a big bonfire.

Ambush Camp #5: Belknap Caves

Region: Belknap

Belknap Caves Bunker Location: The bunker is located up the hill on the side where the fewest enemies were (straight above the cave where the Freakers sleep). It’s the opposite side of the camp where the Sniper is found.

Ambush Camp #6: Bear Creek Hot Springs

Region: Belknap

Bear Creek Hot Springs Bunker Location: You can locate the bunker around the mountain wall surrounding the camp. Near one of the camp entrances / exits.

Ambush Camp #7: Deerborn

Region: Lost Lake

Deerborn Bunker Location: It’s at the top of the camp where most enemies are.

Ambush Camp #8: Berley Lake

Region: Lost Lake

Berley Lake Bunker Location: This is found near the place where 3 enemies were fist-fighting, behind some rocks.

Ambush Camp #9: Wagon Road

Region: Iron Butte

Wagon Road Bunker Location: Found inside the dark tunnel on the upper level of the camp.

Ambush Camp #10: Redwood RV Park

Region: Iron Butte

Redwood RV Park Bunker Location: Found in the far edge of the camp by the wooden fence that surrounds the camp.

Ambush Camp #11: Spruce Lake

Region: Crater Lake

Spruce Lake Bunker Location: This bunker is inside one of the tents.

Ambush Camp #12: Cascade Lakes Railway

Region: Crater Lake

Cascade Lakes Railway Bunker Location: The bunker is found near the railway in the snowy ground, just outside one of the train compartments that you can walk through.

Ambush Camp #13: Aspen Butte

Region: Highway 97

Aspen Butte Bunker Location: Found inside a stone shack, most of the enemies have spawned around this area.

Ambush Camp #14: Bare Bay

Region: Highway 97

Bare Bay Bunker Location: The last bunker is found in the mud near a camp entrance / exit.

That’s all 14 Ambush Camps in Days Gone. This completes the Ambush Camp Hunter Questline and trophy. It will also clear the fog on the map and reveal Historical Marker Collectibles automatically.
