Transmission is the 19th main story mission in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives, paths, dialogues, choices and endings of the Transmission Main Job.
Area: Pacifica
Quest Giver: Maman Brigitte
Requirement: Completed I Walk The Line Main Story mission.
Mission Info: It actually fucking worked. Working with the Voodoo Boys, Brigitte… It leads us straight to Alt. Looks like your troubles are over, kid. Fixing your head is gonna be a walk in the park for Alt, that I guarantee. You just do what Brigitte says for now – I’ll handle the rest.
Objectives:
- Follow Brigitte
- Talk to Brigitte
- Get in the ice bath
- Wait for the connection
- Talk to Brigitte
- Investigate the source of the noises
- Unblock Johnny’s memories
- Talk to Brigitte
- Touch the Blackwall
- Talk to Alt
- Leave / Escape the Voodoo Boys’ hideout
Starting Location: Transmission
Transmission starts immediately after the end of I Walk The Line. If you didn’t accept the mission from Maman Brigitte immediately, then you will have to call her on the phone and agree to let her access the chip. She will meet you at the chapel.
Follow Brigitte
Follow Brigitte down to the crypts, asking her whatever you want to along the way.
Talk to Brigitte
Discuss the situation with Brigitte, but ultimately you will have to get into the bath.
Get in the ice bath
Looks cold. Any conversation you manage while in the bath will not affect anything.
Wait for the connection
Eventually you will be jacked into the Voodoo Boys’ data fortress.
Talk to Brigitte
Move through the trippy BBS towards the vaguely Brigitte shaped blob in the distance. Talk to her to trigger their extraction process and another dip into Johnny Silverhand’s memories.
Investigate the source of the noises
You’ll have a short cinematic of them scanning the construct for memories of Alt, then you’ll be back in control. Still weirdly low-res but in a new environment, head towards the stage and grab the microphone when prompted.
Unblock Johnny’s memories
Oddly enough you will now play “Never Fade Away”, a mission within the mission, reliving a memory of Johnny Silverhand’s related to the location of Alt Cunningham. Once that mission is complete, you will return to Transmission, already in progress. Afterwards, you’ll talk with Johnny briefly about what you saw until Brigitte makes another appearance.
Talk to Brigitte
It turns out that Brigitte has one more insane request for you, this time involving penetrating the Blackwall, the only layer of security against rampant malicious AI attack.
Touch the Blackwall
But apparently you don’t have a choice so sure, let’s go poke the bear.
Talk to Alt
Well this is just nightmare fuel for runners. No part of this is good news.
Leave / Escape the Voodoo Boys’ hideout
Depending on the choice you made when talking with the Netwatch agent during the mission “I Walk The Line“, there will be a couple of possible outcomes to this mission. First if you sold out to Netwatch, then Maman Brigitte and all of the Voodoo Boys’ runners are dead, and the rest of the gang will be hostile towards you from now on. You’ll have to kill your way back to the entrance to the chapel to survive.
If you refused the Netwatch agent’s deal and carried out Placide’s instructions, then you will have one more choice to make. You can choose to pull the ripcord on this complete shambles, parting ways with the Voodoo Boys peacefully and walking out unharmed. Alternately, you can pull your gun and go on a long-overdue rampage through the entire ranks of the Voodoo Boys as a lesson to every other runner on the street about what happens when you cross V one too many times.
Whether you actually kill Placide here or not has no far-reaching consequences so go with whatever feels right.
Transmission Endings
Depends on what you chose with the NetWatch agent during I Walk the Line:
- If you sold out to NetWatch Agent, then Maman Brigitte and all of the Voodoo Boys’ runners will die at the end of Transmission, and the rest of the gang will be hostile towards you from then on. You’ll have to fight your way back to the entrance to the chapel and get the Placide boss fight.
- If you refuse the Netwatch agent’s deal and carried out Placide’s instructions, then at the end of Transmission you can leave the Voodoo Boys’ hideout without shedding blood (unless you really want to. Placide can be a fun boss fight here.)
For the rest of the story it doesn’t matter what ending you get here, because you won’t have to deal with the Voodoo Boys again either way.
This finishes Transmission main quest in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). Now the next quest Ghost Town becomes available.

I can’t start the mission. The objective says call Brigitte to accept her help because I declined it at the end of the last mission, but she won’t pick up when I call, does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it.
