The Gig is a Side Quest in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). This walkthrough will guide you through all steps of The Gig Side Job.
Area: Westbrook (Japantown)
Quest Giver: Wakako Okada
Requirement: Complete Main Job The Rescue
Reward: €$3380 / Tattoo: Tyger Claws Dermal Imprint Cyberwear
Objectives:
- Collect Your Reward From Wakako
- Collect your free reward from Cassius Ryder’s ripperdoc shop inventory.
Starting Location: The Gig
After completing Main Job The Rescue you will get “The Gig” Side Job automatically. It’s highly recommended to do The Gig early on because it rewards you with the Smart-Targeting Cyberware. This allows you to use Smart Weapons for the rest of the game. You can still do The Gig later at any time if you wish, it stays in your journal permanently.
Collect Your Reward From Wakako
Head to the location above and go down through Jig-Jig Street towards Wakako’s Pachinko store. Head into the back of the store to speak with Wakako.
Speak with Wakako to discuss Westbrook and also get your reward. The dialogue here doesn’t matter so here are the options:
Dialogue:
- You still owe me for Sandra Dorsett.
- Tell me about Westbrook.
- How many husbands did you have again?
Collect Your Free Reward From Cassius Ryder’s Ripperdoc Shop Inventory
Now, you need to head all the way back to Watson to see Ryder’s ripperdoc and get a useful reward, allowing you to make full use of Smart Weapons. Head to Northside at the location below:
Head off the side of the road and into the small courtyard with the vending machines. At the back, you can find the ripperdoc. Choose the following dialogue to equip Cyberwear:
Dialogue:
- Let’s see what you have.
Choose the “Hands” option from the Cyberwear menu and equip the “Tattoo: Tyger Claws Dermal Imprint” Cyberwear to use smart-targeting technology on weapons. This is your Gig reward. Once equipped the mission will complete.
This finishes The Gig side quest job in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77).
