The Ballad of Buck Ravers is a Side Job in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). This walkthrough will guide you through all steps of The Ballad of Buck Ravers Side Quest.
Area: Westbrook (Japantown), at Jig Jig Street
Quest Giver: Street Musician
Requirement: Completed Main Job “Playing for Time“, then go to the quest start and talk to the Street Musician (only then the quest is triggered)
Reward: 314 XP
Mission Info: Don’t think I’ve gone all sentimental or anything. Honestly, I couldn’t give a shit if I’ve got any fans left in this city. If someone hears one of my tracks and they get the itch to take to the streets, then that’s fuckin’ nova, but those old recordings don’t matter anymore. Find ’em, listen to ’em, I don’t care. Although, while we’re on the subject… Wonder how things are over at Rainbow Cadenza.
Objectives:
- Talk to Johnny
- Talk to the cook
- Persuade the vendor to give you the tapes
- Talk to Johnny
Starting Location: The Ballad of Buck Ravers
This quest does not have a marker on the map. Instead, it triggers when you get close to a Street Musician at Jig Jig Street. He has a fixed location and will always be in the spot shown below.
Talk to Johnny
As soon as you approach the Street Musician, Johnny will appear and talk to you. Your dialogue choices throughout this job don’t matter, so pick whatever you like.
Talk to the cook
Next, head over to the Ramen Shop in the same market square as the Musician. Talk to the cook there.
Persuade the vendor to give you the tapes
The cook doesn’t have the tapes you’re after but he points you to a vendor, just in front of the Ramen Shop. Talk to the vendor and he’ll open his inventory to you.
Pick the Samurai Concert Recording. It will have a yellow exclamation mark on it and doesn’t cost any money.
Talk to Johnny
Johnny will have something to say and then the quest finishes. A very quick and easy one.
This finishes The Ballad of Buck Ravers side quest job in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77).
