Spellbound is a Side Job in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). This walkthrough will guide you through all steps of the Spellbound Side Quest.
Area: Watson (Little China)
Quest Giver: Nix
Requirement: Complete Main “Ghost Town”
Reward: 102 XP / 229 Street Cred
Mission Info: A job from Nix? Should be interesting. Guy’s got a rep for being an expert on antique tech, pre-Krash hardware. Decks, mag disks, yada yada yada. Some people’ll tell you it’s all as useful as a typewriter, a record player, a pile of dried cat shit. But me… I wouldn’t be so sure about that.
Objectives:
- Talk To Nix
- Call R3n0
- Go To The Coordinates Given By R3n0
- Talk To R3n0
- Collect The Goods From The Stash
- Talk To Johnny
- Open Your Shards Menu And Decrypt The Book Of Spells
- Return To Nix
Starting Location: Spellbound
Side Job: Spellbound starts in Watson (Little China).
Talk To Nix
From the location above, head inside the club and into the room behind the bar to find Nix in the room on your right.
Choose the following dialogue options to accept the job:

- Indeed
- Can do. Will do.
Call R3n0
Once you accept the job, call R3n0 by holding down the 
/ 
button and choosing to call them.
Choose the following dialogue options to take the call:
Dialogue:
- That’s right.
Go To The Coordinates Given By R3n0
Follow the waypoint to the location where you will pick up the spellbook, which is in a large building above a road.
Talk To R3n0
There are multiple ways to get the spellbook, all depending on what path you want to take. You can pay at the full price, half the price by using the Corpo exclusive dialogue option, or you can incapacitate R3n0 and find the cache coordinates by breaching the computer.
Whichever option you choose, R3no can be found by the bar.
Collect The Goods From The Stash
Head just outside and follow the waypoint to the stash location, in a suitcase by a vending machine.
Talk To Johnny
Johnny will then appear and once he finishes talking the objective will complete.
Open Your Shards Menu And Decrypt The Book of Spells [Optional]
To get this optional objective, all you need to do is go into your shards menu, which can be found as another option in the “Journal” menu button and hit the 
/ 
to decrypt it, which only requires you the fourth option right.
Return To Nix
Now, you have to go all the way back to the club and speak to Nix again. Once talking with him you can choose to keep the book, give it to them at the original price or get them to triple it, which they will do. This can be done by choosing the following dialogue options:
- Brought the book.
- Thanks. > Will give him the book at the original price
- Tablet’s worth heaps more. You know it, I know it. > Will triple the number of eddies you get
Once the dialogue finishes, the quest will complete.
