Scrolls Before Swine is a Gig in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). This walkthrough will guide you through all steps of the Scrolls Before Swine Gig (Side Quest).
Area: Watson (Northside)
Quest Giver: Regina Jones
Requirement: Reach Street Cred Rank 4, Completed Main Job “Playing For Time”
Reward: 299 XP / 673 Street Cred / €$2160
Mission Info: Gig type: Thievery
Target: CCTV Footage
Location: Maelstrom warehouse on the corner of Industrial and Eisenhower St.
Client is Aaron McCarlson, NCPD sergeant. Used to work for me as a consultant on the show “Cops ‘n’ Chops” (8 seasons!!) and is asking for a favor.
Aaron’s been digging into Maelstrom for a while now – says he found the warehouse where they torture people. But you know how it is for badges – law slows them down with mountains of paperwork, so if they want to get something done, they have to get creative. Aaron knows that, which is why instead of waiting for fat-assed judges to grant him permission, he wants to get help from a “contractor.”
Job’s simple. Get into warehouse (coordinates attached), steal the security cam footage and bring it back to Aaron. Should be enough to push his case through. And if you happen to shoot a few Maelstromers along the way, well… shit happens, right? World won’t be worse off without them, that’s for sure.
Objectives:
- Get Inside The Warehouse
- Find The Computer With The Footage
- Retrieve The Footage From The Warehouse
- Bring The Footage To Aaron
- Leave Aaron’s Building
Starting Location: Scrolls Before Swine
Gig: Scrolls Before Swine starts in Watson (Northside).
Get Inside The Warehouse
From the location, head behind the warehouse, clockwise to find an alley, which allows you to sneak into the building. There is also a fence you can force open with enough Body Attribute points, and a door to the left of the main gate, which requires enough Technical Ability points.
From there you can either reboot the optics of the enemy facing the alley and sneak past or take them out. Then, wait for the enemy on the roof above you to move away from the edge of the building and climb onto the rubbish pile. Look up and jump to the roof without a fence.
Take out this enemy and continue to the other side of this roof to find a door leading into this warehouse. Immediately in front of you, there will be an enemy you can incapacitate.
Find The Computer With The Footage
Now that you are inside the warehouse, there are two more enemies you can take out, which can easily be snuck up upon by following their patrol paths. But, the computer is actually on the top floor, on the walkway you are at now. Head inside the door, opposite of where the enemy you just took out up here was standing.
Retrieve The Footage From The Warehouse
The computer is sat in this room and you can choose to steal the data on it by pressing / .
Bring The Footage To Aaron
Now, leave the warehouse through the way you came or by exiting through the garage door, into the courtyard and taking out the remaining one or two enemies here, depending on if you killed the enemy looking at the alley.
Get in your car and drive to the waypoint, entering the large apartment building.
Head upstairs to the second floor and call Aaron, who is in the house to the left of the staircase. Once he meets you at the door, choose the following dialogue options:
Dialogue:
- [Give recordings] Here you go.
- They’re for the investigation, right?
Leave Aaron’s Building
Simply leave Aaron’s building through the entrance you came in to complete the mission.
This finishes Scrolls Before Swine gig in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77).

Before you steal the recording, look at the files on the computer. You will see something which opens up several moral choices which all involve commentary from/banter with Johnny.
Most provide the same reward (2160 eddies, despite what the dialogue might suggest) but one only allows you to get 140 eddies, some junk that’s worth 750, and a rare DR5 Nova revolver (189.5 DPS) worth 197.

How do you get the shard inside Aaron’s apartment? He doesn’t let you in and you can see it on his kitchen counter along with some epic item in a container?
Phantascene says
SPOILER ALERT
To access the things in his apartment I think you need to have watched the files on the computer when you got him the footage and choose one of the other options when talking to Aaron. A few more options are opened up by having viewed the files on the computer.
Additional info, but also more spoilers:
Beware though, because this entails getting into a fight that is not easily won. And it also presented me with an unexpected snag later on where I just found this post because I had gone to see Dino Dinovic at a bar, and Aaron is sitting in a booth with a good view of the room. I can’t enter the bar without Aaron seeing me and getting upset. I had completely forgot about him, looked online for the character’s name and found this post. The man clearly holds a grudge.
Caspearious says
There is a third outcome to the mission. Pick the dialog about turning him in and you will have to fight him. Knock him out (no kill) with your fists, bat or other blunt item. Once you leave the apartment, you will get a positive outcome with the fixer lady as she will then use the evidence to blackmail the officer into becoming an informer.
Bruno Ricci says
You actually just need to throw a grenade on him. You’ll be able to acess the apartment.
Fletcher says
Why does doing this mission always cause me to fail “Raymond Chandler Evening”, even though I never picked up that quest?
Tygerjay says
If you have a firearm with a non-lethal mod, you’ll be able to shoot him without killing him.
