Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77) has 7 Romances. There are 5 women and 2 men you can romance. This will start a relationship with them and can lead to a sex scene if you make all the right choices.
There are the following 7 Romances in Cyberpunk 2077:
- Alt Cunningham (Gender doesn’t matter, Automatic in a Johnny Silverhand Main Quest)
- Meredith Stout (Bisexual)
- Panam Palmer (Heterosexual, requires Male Character)
- Kerry Eurodyne (Gay, requires Male Character)
- Judy Alvarez (Lesbian, requires Female Character)
- River Ward (Heterosexual, requires Female Character)
- Rogue (Gender doesn’t matter, part of a Johnny Silverhand Side Quest)
- Bonus: Joytoys / Prostitutes (Bisexual)
These are highly missable, though not needed for any trophies or achievements. Your gender plays an important role, 2 people can only be romanced as a male and 2 when playing a female. For the other 3 your gender doesn’t matter. It is not possible to romance all in one playthrough. Alt Cunningham will be romanced automatically during a Main Mission.
With the exception of Alt Cunningham (automatic from story), everyone else can only be romanced during their Side Quests. Always pick the dialogues in support of the person you want to romance, defend them in dialogues against other people, always agree they are right, do anything they ask of you, don’t tell them you are doing their jobs for the money, always pick the flirty dialogue or physical “touch her / him” choices. Basically just be nice and supportive and do all their Jobs.
Alt Cunningham
Required Gender: Doesn’t matter.
Guide:
- Alt Cunningham is automatically romanced during Main Quest “Never Fade Away”. There is no way to miss this. It’s a Flashback to an old Memory. No choices leading up to this, her Sex Scene is unmissable, you can’t mess this up. So don’t even worry about this one.
Meredith Stout
Required Gender: Meredith Stout is female. She is bisexual and can be romanced with any gender (likes Males and Females). Even though she’s a corpo, you can romance her on any other lifepath as well.
Guide: How to Romance Panam (All Dialogue Choices)
Panam
Required Gender: Panam is female. She can only be romanced when playing as a Male character (Heterosexual relationship).
Guide: How to Romance Panam (All Dialogue Choices)
Kerry Eurodyne
Required Gender: Kerry Eurodyne is male. He can only be romanced when playing as a Male character with male body type and male voice (Gay relationship).
Guide: How to Romance Kerry Eurodyne (All Dialogue Choices)
Judy Alvarez
Required Gender: Judy is female. She can only be romanced when playing as a Female character with a female body type and female voice (Lesbian relationship).
Guide: How to Romance Judy Alvarez (All Dialogue Choices)
River Ward
Required Gender: River Ward is male. He can only be romanced when playing as a Female character (Heterosexual relationship).
Guide: How to Romance River Ward (All Dialogue Choices)
Rogue
Required Gender: Doesn’t matter.
Guide: How to Romance Rogue (All Dialogue Choices)
Joytoys (Prostitutes)
Required Gender: Doesn’t matter, they serve every gender (Bisexual).
Guide:
- Technically not a “Romance” but each of them will result in a sex scene. On the map when you zoom in, press to filter for Service Points. They will have a white kissing lips icon on the map. In Westbrook (Japantown) you can find some male and female Prostitutes (Joytoys). See Cyberpunk 2077 Joytoy Locations.
That’s all 7 Romances in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). Who’s your favorite?

Val says
So they just decided to retcon Kerry’s sexuality? he was straight in the original game. Why not just make him bisexual? plus, a lot of gay people are upset since he fits the stereotypical gay love interest appearance-wise, that you see in videogames, whereas River (the preferred option) doesn’t.
I’ve actually seen more women want Kerry and gay men want River than the other way around.
It’s kinda weird that a game like Cyberpunk is feeding into stereotypes.
Rána says
They literally should have done it the other way around honestly, or just not overcomplicate things and make everyone bisexual/ready to smash V no matter what. River was very popular with gay men, and Kerry is the guy most girls would go for.
Valentin Ferraro says
I, fullheartedly, agree with you.
Adrian says
This. Seriously this.
Mattie says
Agree!
Also, pretty disappointed you can’t change body shape/type in the character customization.
They’ve ‘tried’ to be inclusive, but the options are still overwhelmingly binary and stereotypical.
RenTheCat says
How does River doesn’t fit the “stereotypical gay” appearence? He’s literally bara. And yes, it was a retcon, and no, it’s not a bad thing, millions of things have been retconned.
River is a shitty character part of a shitty side quest, he has zero involvement in the main story. I’m tired of gay romances always being irrelevant to the plot while lesbians get romances like Liara in Mass Efefct.
So no. River shouldn’t have been the gay romance. Who are those gays upsted by Kerry’s appearance? Because it’s not me.
Gays finally get a game with a cool gay character who’s entire romance is not “ohh noo homophobia and daddy issues” like Dorian romance in Dragon age and you want to make him bisexual? Why? So gays get ANOTHER game in which there is no exclusive to us? Lesbians get Judy but gays don’t get a single guy? Nah.
Winsamwise says
Who tf told you that he is straight ? And please don’t Tell me cause of the trailer scene cause it literally doesn’t mean anything. Just let the characters and their sexuality’s be cause trying to change someone’s sexuality is toxic. Plus if you are so hot in romancing Ward then just play a female character what is so hard about it and if you wanna romance Kerry so bad then play male V. And please guys stop trying to speak for everyone cause I as a gay man think that they just did it perfect with the sexuality’s and the characters. So just stop!
giliard says
I thought it was cool how the characters follow in a straight line, making their choice clear, this gives them a lot more life, whether they are gay or not.
it would be disappointing if it all came down to everyone can eat everyone.
what I really lack are more partner options for everyone.
there are some npcs and secondary characters that i would like to date.
apparently it was all a matter of “cut content to launch the game soon because we are pressing”.
I’m pretty sure that river was supposed to be bisexual in the final game, on your own route you notice with the male V he shows a very strong “colorful friendship” … or I’m crazy.
Blue says
Agree! Clearly CDPR don’t know which character would be more popular for gay men and straight women…
Nialix says
I mean, I, on first sight was like “Boom Judy is the one for me” and so she was! I avoided reading or seeing anything about this game before I could play it too so i had no idea if she was even an option or for what version of V.
Willis you talking about corto? says
I thought River was a pretty good character. A hard bitten cop learning to reconnect with family life. I thought Kerry was interesting too, beneath all his posturing. I didn’t need my V to be able to date them to enjoy their company.
Ghost says
Here I was hoping River would be into men. 🙁
Winsamwise says
Hi play female V gosh
Keaton says
These romances are a mess. Completely underwhelming. CDPR missed the mark on this one big time. Completely overlooked gay men and straight women with blatantly favoritism to straight men who get 4 women when far superior dialogue to choose from.
Cecile says
Truly, Im really bummed out about this, Straight Male Players get like 3 options (because the Judy route also seems like eyecandy for them) on top of the Johnny route, and CDPR said before the romances would be equal, I feel really deceived by this.
Anonymous says
Women got judy is that not enough?
RenTheCat says
Is this a joke? There are just 4 romance options. Cunningham and Rogue are not actual romaces, and Meredith is a one night stand. Gay men and straight women have prostitutes not mentioned in the article.
The main romances are
1 lesbian – Judy
1 straight woman – Panam
1 gay man – Kerry
1 straight man – River
Because of you crybabies ALL OF US got just one shitty option because you can’t stand any other group getting more than one. And don’t say “missed the mark” as if most players were straight women or gay men. Stop crying favoritism when it’s because of you all of us get shit choices. They should have completly avoided putting romance in game just to spit on you since no matter what they give you are never happy.
Robert james says
Us gay guys only get kerry while straight men get 4 female options and straight women get one male option and lesbiens get three female options which is pretty insulting as they should of made sure there was equal choice for every sexuality but here we go again us gay guys lose out the most for reasons i’ll never understand
Brandon LaChoppa says
Wow the guys really got lied to majorly, “equal amount for all sexualities” my ass!
RenTheCat says
Where is the lie? The main romances are Judy, Panam, Kerry and River. 1 for each sexuality.
Meredith is not a romance, Cunningham and Rogue are part of Keanu flashbacks. And there are both male and female prostitutes.
They literally shoved as much equality as they could forcing all of us to get just 1 romance option and you say there isn’t an equal amount? Oh, where is the inequality? Because straight men have JUST Panam.
I also don’t get why you would be mad if the majority of players gets more option.
I didn’t see you crying in Dragon age inquisition in which straight women got 4 romance options while gay and straight men got just 2, and they all leave you in the end while female romances get marriage and happy ever after.
Erika says
What defines gender? Voice or Genital?
RiverTay says
Voice is the pronoun choice, masculine he/him feminine she/her. The body type is also needed for gay romances. Genitals don’t matter as you can completly opt out of them(choosing to only ever see underwear) so it makes no sense that they would matter.
Sean says
It’s a game, people! Whether you’re gay/straight, or bi in real life, the “relationship” in the video game is not real. I don’t know how anyone can get worked up over a “relationship” that develops over a couple hours of choosing the best dialogue option and completing all the NPC’s jobs, anyways.
Will we ever allow anyone to be proud of a video game they’ve developed anymore?
Red Wolf says
I’m sorry, but you people complaining about the relationships are pathetic. Stop ruining good things. “Oh boohoo the game is bad because it’s not WOOOOKE enough” no, f* off. They literally give an option for every type. And just because it’s not exactly the option YOU want, deal with it, it was their vision and they made it their way. You don’t have a right to be so entitled to think you deserve to have it every way you want. Ffs it’s only a game, if romances in games are something that upset you, you don’t deserve any, period. Because you aren’t mature enough to handle not having your way. The game is fantastic, the options are fine, if you don’t like them, don’t play the game and let those that do, do. That’s my piece said.
Sean says
Well said!
Thanks again for the hard work and effort put into these excellent guides, Powerpyx!
Shadow77 says
Okay person who has a god complex, chill. No one is complaining about how the romance opt is what they want or not from what I see. People are upset about the number for each type simply being unbalanced and that’s a fact. And do people who PAID for the game with their own money have a right to at least complain? YES they do. So get over yourself.
YuriFan55 says
Dude how is Evelyn not on here… she’s bi af… oh well, I guess that means I won’t betray Vex, I was only gonna do it for the booty >_>
Maddawgnp says
Here’s an idea, create V to be bisexual and you get two options for romance………
Maddawgnp says
If any one sexuality comes out for the better, it’s bisexual 2 possible romances. Stop whining and just enjoy the game.
Dudemane says
How about romances and bromances for any gender / identity? Like make everyone able to be romanced be anyone.
hermaphrodite says
Me: “Oh you can romance people in this game! I wonder if I can do it with my preferred setup. No? Aw man.”
Comment Section: “You stupid woke people are out to destroy us and aren’t even happy with what you’re given !!!1! No one should listen to your endless whining !!!1111!1”
Isn’t it like, free speech that I can express my disappointment?
David says
Where the hell does it say a fictional video game character must have all of the potential sexual orientations each player could have. How about some Golden shower sex scenes? Why is there no 2 girls 1 cup option? Go play some kind of romance visual novel or fake boyfriend/girlfriend dating sim. This is a VIDEO GAME. It’s a character, you are playing a character. Crash Bandicoot wasn’t a sado-masochistic pansexual Z pronoun, sue them! Is Ratchet going to be a transsexual man who gets pregnant and has a baby? Sonic needs to represent cuckolds in the next game. Teabagging downed players in CoD is sexual assault and mis-sexualizing them. You know one of the bad guys in Cyberpunk called me a c-sucker, in a bad way?! OMG!!!
сосижопу says
I’m not whining, it’s just… only one option for straight women? Seriously?
Paul says
There is only 1 for straight men as well
Shadow77 says
IKR I was so bumped out! And I don’t understand when people say only one for straight guys because clearly there’s three bi female opt and one straight female opt for them. only two male opt and Kerry ain’t straight. Like dude…
Hal Jordan says
It’s mainstream crap now. Deal with it. If it were up to me I’d kill all the gay characters at the start of their quest line so I wouldn’t waste time. Really miss the days of Geralt banging every chick he sees. Oh well, at least you can bang Rogue, the 100-year old fossil. And, uh, no thanks. No DLC for this crap game. Just gonna play my white straight male playthrough then be done with CDPR for good. Who knew the makers of The Witcher 3 could drop a steaming pile of shit like this given so long to make it.
lex says
panam doesn’t romance the female v? that hurt my soul
Rudy` says
Same here but with Judy… I wanted so bad to romance her with the male V.
Shadow77 says
Only 1 opt for straight girls tho?… Seriously i can totally make a male v to romance kerry (not preferably tho) cuz he looks hot too. But 5 girls opt vs 2 boys opt is just simply unfair
RiverTay says
To be fair, it is mostly just a bit more sex scenes. The romance options are 2 straight and 1 lesbian/1 gay. So it is same for both allowed genders.
Paitryn says
Saddened by the strict gender choices in a cyberpunk universe. I mean were talking about a group of people who grew up with the ability to experience sex and sexuality from all points of view via braindances. You would think it would be more about their interest in the person themselves instead of the sum of their parts
Chris says
The majority of the players of this game will be straight men. Followed closely by straight women. LGBTQI people are only a small percentage of society, even if you pretend otherwise. Gotta just deal with it.
Chip says
As a gay guy, Kerry for me is fine as hell. Whoever nagging about River should be Gay/Bi, F off, stop poisoning yourself with masculinity BS, sis.
Well, but Emmerick Bronson, bouncer of Afterlife is pretty hot though.
AnonGamer says
Instead of arguing about who gets what, why not just make all options bisexual? Simple solution
gamegenie says
That’s the best option, but it’s too smart of an option to do for CDPR.
If this was Dragon Age or Saints Row, that would be the case.
Commenter80085 says
No every person in real life is bi, so why would we expect every person in a game to be bi?
Karl Kevin Yap says
They should’ve made Judy available for men as that’s what we’re all thinking rather than just Panam as a love interest because the other woman is like a cougar.
B says
Merideth th is too old looking in the face for my taste, so no fun in that lol so as a lesbian I saw Judy and thought yep she’s my type
Russell Kearns says
Very helpful guides. I like the quests and romances, different outcomes linked within the game. For me it’s the best part of the game along with the numerous quests. I like the Panam and Judy romance lines. I do hope however in the future that they expand upon the romances, develop them more and introduce more romancable characters within the game. I’d have liked to have been able to romance the likes of Claire, Evelyn or Lizzie too. The romance quests and storylines are interesting and could be further developed and remind me of the likes of Greedfall and Vampyr too in a way. Really appreciate the work you put into your walkthroughs and guides.
B says
I’m a lesbian and as soon as I saw judy I was like wow hot, so I’m just happy I got an option at all lol
Samurai says
I would have liked to be able to romance Denny and Hanako Arasaka or any other character of similar ethnicities and such curvier body type.
Samurai says
Or at least have more joytoy options, including of similar ethnicities and such curvier body type as Denny and Hanako Arasaka. For Denny and Hanako Arasaka there isn’t any curvier female nor is there any black african type.
I like the japantown female joytoy nut I really dislike the more expensive female joytoy appearance, clothing and hairstyle, I wish there is a mod to swap her model for Denny or Hanako Arasaka.
Samurai says
I like that as a player we are given the choice of our sex and gender, and let our conversations and actions choices fluidly lead to our sexuality to be asexual, bisexual, heterosexual or homosexual.
ka says
personally i think the gender requirements just shouldnt exist at all but whatever people arent ready for that yet
