MIA is a Gig in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). This walkthrough will guide you through all steps of the MIA Gig (Side Quest).
Area: Badlands (South)
Quest Giver: Dakota Smith
Requirement: Street Cred 11
Reward: €$8580, 565XP, 1270 Street Cred
Mission Info: SOS Merc Needed
A fixer’s worth no more and no less than their last promise. And I promised Benedict McAdams that I’d get him out of town once he checked off a job for me. Benedict’s one devil of a pro. Just six hours in of taking the job and Councilman McClean’s heart beat for the last time – that fat irish fish I’d had dangling on my line too long. The risk of a slip-up was high, so before he set to it, Benedict installed a GPS in his biomon so I could have an eye in the sky on him, as it were. This slickster didn’t work alone, mind you – had a driver, Jason Wildriver. The problem is, instead of hauling quick across the border, Jason went off route. Something here stinks worse than McClean’s fishy corpse. Find them and bring me Benedict. I’ll find him a new driver.
Objectives:
- Go to the abandoned farmhouse
- Find Ben
- Talk to Ben
- Take Ben to the meeting point
- Wait for Dakota’s guy
- Talk to Dakota’s guy
Starting Location: MIA
Gig: MIA starts in the southern Badlands.
Go to the abandoned farmhouse
This gig couldn’t be simpler. Walk right up and you’ll find the traitorous driver hanging around out front with a autoturret nearby. Take them both out and head inside.
Find Ben
Ben is in the basement, and you’ll need Body (12) to force the door, or the Access Token which is right on top of the desk right around the corner from the basement door.
Talk to Ben
Ben is happy to get out of the basement.
Take Ben to the meeting point
Might as well use Wildriver’s car to take Ben to his destination.
Wait for Dakota’s guy
When you reach the waypoint, you’ll be prompted to skip time until Ben’s ride arrives.
Talk to Dakota’s guy
Walk over to the driver and you’ll be done!

Snake2410 says
The end of this quest can bug out if you go too close to the out of bounds while driving to the meeting point at the end. The prompt won’t show to wait for Dakota’s driver if Ben says “What the hell?” during the drive at the end, which happens when the GPS takes you close to the out of bounds zone. To prevent it just drive across the desert straight to the meeting place and don’t follow the GPS.
Ysharros says
Thank you! There was absolutely no indication that this was what happened – I assumed Ben was just surprised because I cornered like a maniac :D
Dragon says
Welp so much for that….. No other saves which means driving off and failing the mission >.>
Stephen Brisbois says
I drove across the desert but my car happened to fall through the ground out of the world at one point. He said what the hell and it reset my car back on solid ground so I drove to the meeting point and couldn’t get the prompt to wait.
